I grew up right across the street at south 4th & Henry in 1961 until my dad sold the house in the late 80s. I loved it, I could walk right out of our front yard cross the street and we were in the park. I liked it so much my mom would catch me sleep walking to the park and quickly steer me back in the house. My family was huge so there where always be someone to play with...family of 14.I truly miss the simple days before the electronics and cell phones. Going outside to meet up with your friends until going home at dusk.Sweet simple days.Ruby (Perkins) Freeman
Nice area to picnic
Very interesting to go see this monument.
This is a great market.and the owner of this market is from Mexicans.
The Donut statue!! Worth a visit. :)
I love unusual and free places. I found this on the Only in your State website. I was close by and thought why not. Its in a park with a small playground. It would be a great place to take the kids to play and while they are playing look at the monument.
What a wonderful little oddity! As wack-a-doodle as the theory is, its great that its preserved here.
Park needs some love and some help by the community to clean their property.
Monument isnt in great condition but it represents a fascinating story and an alternate world view. Would love to see this thing restored and more added around it. Its just to fun of an idea... perhaps another monument including Symmes Jrs actual concentric shells idea could be erected!
Small, but significant. Old and very interesting.
Cool little place
Better get yr CCW for this park.
