Jones park is situated next to Gulfport harbor directly south of downtown. Its use for public events and recreation. The lawn is fairly large and it spans the width of the park. A concrete sidewalk goes around the lawn. It ideal for running. The park shares space with a yacht club and it abuts the beach. I wont recommend getting in the water because of fleshing eating bacteria. The park is maintained well. I like going when the flowers are in bloom. Its a fun place to chill with the family.

A beautiful place to come and spend time. Theres always plenty of parking. The park area was not too busy and the walking paths are very nice. We always enjoy walking to the pier behind the bait shop in the back. Come Christmas time, the park is always so it up and just gorgeous to drive past.

Did Marine Corps PT at Jones Park. Plenty of room to run around and equipment for everyone to use including pull-up bars.

Jones Park has everything you need for an outdoor play picnic!A playground and splash pad for the kiddos!Public restroom, soda vending machine, and plenty of benches and tables.They even have a walking trail.Its on a harbor with marina and multiple piers.Overall nice outdoor place.

The Marina at Jones Park is probably one of the nicest parts of Gulfport. When the splash pad is available this is our favorite spot to take a long walk and then cool off afterwards.

Very clean and open. Very little traffic. And there is the ducks by the boat ramp that you can feed some bread and take pictures of. Also a very good area to walk and catch pokemon

Jones Park was vary clean and nice for our grand babies to splash around and xo.off at sash pad ..Just some older boys were there with parents trying to bully my grand babies which were only 3 and 5 saying cant play on this slide and ill push you off so I said be nice its for everyone talked to parents nothing happened ao we left..

On a rainy day you can enjoy Jones Park like I have done about 3 years ago. Remember the water towers of the port city have the fresh water that you may need and need it massively takes freshwater to prevent food poisoning. It took me a whole lot of pretending to see the value in a future 10-million-dollar Bridge with a Tram that can also bring you to the other public fresh-water fountains all-along!!!!

Jones Park is ok but Im no longer living in that area anymore! But I loved it when I was a resident!! No complaints of any kind!!!

Beautiful setting with plenty of parking. Paved trails. Large public fishing area (saltwater license required). Three fishing piers. White beaches with picnic area and volleyball court. The largest pavilion I have ever visited.

Fine place to walk late evening after the sun goes down. Too hot to walk in middle of the dayA track is laid out for various distances up to 1 mile. When you are walking and get hot, you can stand in front of a lawn sprinkler to get wet!

Such a beautiful park with a great view!! Has awesome restrooms too. The playground has a splash pad which is nice on a hot day.

Its my first time being here and its truly nice. There was a peace and justice rally here and I truly enjoyed all that Ive seen and heard, and the pavilion was very nice.

Great park. There are several boat launches, a playground, splash pad, paved walking routes, and some outdoor exercise equipment. Additionally, the city and community host several events at the park throughout the year.

Nice family friendly atmosphere with lots of room to social distance and enjoy walking, bike riding, picnicing, or just relaxing under a shade tree or basking in the sunshine.

Fun little outings for me and my grandson. We go to the splash pad and play at the playground. There are bathrooms near by and the ice cream truck comes through pretty frequently.

Well built sidewalks and rather an anomaly in a poorly run State with deplorable roads and little environmental protection efforts.This Parks has nice spaces to host and event, dock a boat and go for a jog .I would like to see more Rec centers and Parks like this one in this State .

A nice clean Park by the water when you need to walk around without getting sand in your shoes. Great views and the water in the boats nicely lit once the sun goes down handicap and kid friendly. Oh, and it is free!

I love this park! I have never had a negative experience. I will always go with other people for obvious reasons but it is so great to see all the active people here!

Great farmers market. Everyone was friendly and talkative! Definitely better than how our farmers markets are in Southern Illinois..

Really great park, I go here to play Pokémon go and everyone is really friendly. Benches for picnics and large pavilions for shade and activities. There is even a farmers market once a week thats held under the large pavilion. Also a splash pad for kids and a restrooms near by.

More than a park!!!!! Charming and extremely multifaceted. Delightfully overcast cloud cover It was, however, exquisitely elegant as the ran fell softly then pelted away with a heavy downpour. Visitors and neighbors rushed to see the impact, to play in the rain and splash pool area. The Barksdale Pavillion beckoned all who sought cover and refuge.Signs nailed to the wall at the back of the pavillion showed High water levels of Camille and Higher water levels of Katrina. They were many feet above my head. Many yachts and boats are docked and there are Ship Island Excursions for fishing and history lovers to tour. There is a bus and trolley service for those who elect to have a public transit chauffeur. Bathrooms are available and there is ample parking.A walking/ jogging trail near the pavillion and beach is so cool; guess what, there are a few exercise stations for us to strengthen other body parts as well. Thanks City planners!!!Movies are also shown during the summer season. Free popcorn - yummiest. So, bring your chairs or blankets, the kids, a date, your scrumptious spouse or just enjoy the movies under the stars as you smile and appreciate your singleness. There are food trucks on site during the movies as well.An Aquarium is being built across the street from Jones Park. Went to the farmers market at the Barksdale Pavilion. Well maintained facility and park. Its a great park with lots of open space, walking track, splash pad, restrooms, and view of the harbor.

It was very nice. All the staff members were polite and kind. The rides are a little older, but my son still enjoyed them. Free parking is a huge bonus. A nice alternative to the lights we have closer by.

Went to see the Christmas light display put on by Mississippi Power. Beautiful display. I love going to walk in this park. Be aware of what’s going on around you.

The splash pad is amazing lots of fun for everyone. Its great besides the inconsiderate people smoking where everyone is playing.

Three Pokemon go gyms several Spinning Disk to get extra pokeballs from here for free.There is a white cement walkway perfect for the disabled of any nature come and enjoy the park. There are handicap bathrooms for males and females. Theres plenty of places to go fishing here in the park, its officially a harbor. There is a harbor Masters office you can find the phone number and address on Google Maps and also the website hours of operation. There is a handicap tag on the handicap parking space to get a splash pad wheelchair for children! Phone number is on the blue sign next to the splash pad, call for wheelchairs that can go on the splash pad with no problem. There is a setup for a bonfire witch you need to go to the fire department and get a permit for each day that you want to have a bonfire there, its all cement in the fire pit and that makes cleanup easy. Enjoy!

When I first moved to Gulfort - Jones Park was unsafe, dark and carried with it some strange smells. After some hard work and lots of sweat the local area beautification team has really turned this place around. Family movie night and a splash pad during the summer. Christmas lights during the winter. New exercise equipment installed. Jones Park is constantly improving. Give it a few years and it will be the family fun place that everyone will talk about. I would like to see more big name events hosted at the park. And with the Aquarium opening soon I am sure I will be adding a star or two.

My grandson and I had a great time at the fishing rodeo/fair. I do however think its terrible that they charge to get in the fishing rodeo. Everything cost so much as it is.

The lights were great. Tried the train and walked through. If you want pictures walk if you wanna see it and get out take the train. Santa was better for the pictures doesnt really talk to the kids but what can ya do.

Beautiful building but I only have here to access the ocean and Im appalled. Rocks/liverocks and other debris cut my kids feet. Not to mention the amount of oil pockets that were found. Jones park is great. The marina is relaxing, the Christmas lights are going up, and the construction on the Aquarium construction is moving forward. Love the park with the nice walk area and play ground.

Clean safe park to have fun at, you can definitely take your family for a BBQ or your morning walk.

Great park for the kids! Nice splash pad, spray maybe a bit too powerful for toddlers though. Lots of seating and shade!Great walking track. Nice view of the harbor and beach. Well maintained restrooms. Also, if you Pokemon Go there are LOTS of stops.

I love bringing my kids here for the splash pad and park. I wish they would put in swings though. Or maybe a smaller park at the other end with swings or even tottering toys or seesaws. Still a good place, and always has great events.

Nice place off of the highway and I ride though it every day when I head to work, nice place to stop on a long journey and sit for a bit, work out or just enjoy some rest.

Our family loves Jones Park! We visit frequently. The kids loves the park area and splash pad. The trees and greenery show so much beauty. Its in the perfect area. You can drive behind it for fishing piers, walk across the street to the beach, or hop on the ferry to Ship Island. It is also the best place for events.
