How was it? I wish I could give this place five stars. I was communicating with the CEO about a matter to clear up. We reached a consensus. I messaged again about show times during the week, dinner offerings, etc. All during the week. I did this the day before I wanted to come. I thought I would order tix there on site (if I even can?) instead of doing it ahead of time. I am glad I didnt order online! I drove all the way there...40 minutes...with my two oldest kids to see a movie that was confirmed on their website. Everything was open and welcoming. I get there to not see any lights on other than the inviting red Christmas-y lights that shine every night, and no one in the parking lot. I wait. Meet some people who were chasing Pokemon so I was able to ask them, but didnt really get a clear answer since they had different reasons for being there, messaged the guy again, waited all the way until 6:30. The show started at 7:00 so I would use my common sense to think someone definitely should have been there by that point to set up, etc. Didnt hear back from the CEO even though I saw the icon go down to my message insinuating he at least knew he had received a message. This happened three times without a response back. Cant even comment on the service of comfort of the theater of anything like that. So frustrated and disappointed.
Overall, Red Cinemas was pretty good. Not all of the theaters had luxury seating, but they are updated and comfortable. They have a fair selection of food and drinks, to include beer and wine. However, my food did take a little while to get out to me, and there was no line. And I liked the graffiti paintings on the outside walls of the building.
The best Movie theater in Greensboro. They have every thing in this movie theater. Food, drinks, and alcoholic beverages. Great service here and the tickets are reasonably priced.
Great theatre serving some food and more importantly craft beer from Pig Pounder (across the street). Great prices for concessions, considering the normal insane prices at movie theatres. $5 for the draft beers! Ticket prices are great too. Matinee is $7, even on weekends! Make sure to check out the beautiful mural on the wall by the parking lot.
Relatively clean, good staff, great place. Only downside was the bathrooms.
Place looks nice but ironically they provided us with a room that looks like this for our movie. You would have thought they had a dead body in there with all the yellow tape around a third of the seating. I feel like I should be refunded. Not a very pleasant experience at all. It felt more like I was at a crime scene.
Please explain to me what the differents, requires to wear ask mask to come in to the theater but if I get something to eat I cant take off ?!?!?! Whats the point of it ?!?
Red Cinemas seems like great place to see some of the harder to see movies in the area like art films or limited release movies. It was very clean inside with lots of food and snack options. The seats are incredibly comfortable and spacious. The armrests are wider so you dont have to worry about awkward sharing of a skinny arm rest. They also recline a little so they are very comfy. The movie quality and sound was also very nice.
One of the best movie viewing experiences Ive ever had. First off, the artwork and graffiti outside is amazing! The whole place has an amazing aesthetic and fun employees. They have handicap accessible seating, parking, and restrooms. The movie prices are affordable, they show indie films, and the snacks and food are next level. They have popcorn, sodas, beers, and candy. Love the small theater size and reclining leather seats as well.
Favourite Greensboro movie theatre. Seats in some of the theatres recline and in others only lean and rock a bit so its easy to be comfortable in either. Food and drink selection is above average.
Theater 10 has multiple broken seats in top rows so seating was very limited. We had to sit in second row from screen and near rear exit door. A tree company was cutting down trees directly behind theater and you could hear chain saws, wood chipper, and workmen yelling to each other over the sound of chain saws and wood chipper during the movie. It was so loud it was difficult to hear or focus on movie. I kept hoping noise was going to stop. Halfway through movie, I couldn’t stand the noise any longer so I went looking for a manager. I explained situation to the manager and he acted like he had no idea of what I was talking about . I asked him to come listen to the noise. He went into theater listened briefly and left. He never apologized. When I was waiting to speak to manager, I was telling custodian about the noise and he told me there are people working on property. As I was leaving theater, I drove near the back of theater and the driveway directly behind it was taped off with caution tape, wood chipper and several trees stumps. It looks like there are many more trees to be cut. I realize the work needs to be done during business hours. The theater should not play the movies in the theaters near worksite while the work is being done. I am disappointed I could not enjoy the movie and the manager didn’t even care enough to apologize. I will never return to this dirty noisy theaters with poor management. Only reason I went there was for the movie. I have known for years to avoid this theater because it has always been dirty but I couldn’t believe how many broken seats there are in Theater 10. The carpet needs to be vacuumed and the cup holders on seat arms are filled with garbage. Do yourself a favor and avoid this theater.
Such a nice theater! The seats are so comfortable and well kept. The snack bar is fantastic and everyone is very nice. Definitely going back
I saw an Indian film today. It was just a little over an hour and a half long but there was a 10-15 minute intermission after an hour. Thats just crazy! Im told that Indian films can often be 3+ hrs long, so under those circumstances the intermission would give some guests a much needed break. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that the film would abruptly stop for an intermission or in these particular circumstances why have it at all?The movie was rated PG-13 but it contained the F*** word, and a part of the story line was about a 27 year old woman exploring lesbian relationships. The subject matter wasnt in the trailer and seems a bit mature for a PG-13 movie. The weekday matinee cost $7.45 and my combo of a childs popcorn, candy bar, and childs drink added an additional $8.50. Todays theater experience totaled just under $16.00!With that said, the ticket booth was closed so I had to purchase my ticket at concessions. Theatre seating was VERY comfortable. My screening didnt have reclining seats, but the regular seating was the most comfortable that Ive experienced. This theatre isnt the cheapest in town, but Ill definitely return for future movies.
Between the street art, comfy seating, cool snack/drink options and impressive chandeliers- I would 100% recommend checking out Red Cinema! Its always fun and the employees are great.
This was one of the worst theater experiences Ive ever had. The outside of the building looks wonderful and even the lobby is nice. The actual theater room (screen 10) I ended up in was terrible. First off there was only one way in and out of the rows which made it super inconvenient. Not only was there one way in and out of the row but the aisle was so narrow that you had to stand up and inch as far back as possible to let people pass. The chairs you sat in were comfortable but so impractical for a theater of this size. They were uncontrollably rocky to the point the person in front of you was resting on your knees and unless you sat upright and awkward your chair was doing the same to the people behind you. I counted at least 7 chairs with out of order signs on them. Then I leave the movie and use the restroom and several of the stalls have nasty water all around the toilets from some kind of leak.I will never go back to this theater again. Maybe some of the other sceens are better but I wont take the chance.
Surely, you know the outside isnt Red anymore !
I have been to this theater multiple times and it is very nice. Comfortable seats and great variety of concessions along with beer and wine. A few days ago I had a meeting run long and I had already purchased tickets to a show online. Andre ahd Lauren helped remedy the situation quickly and professionally. They are excellent when it comes to customer service! Keep them around!
Fun atmosphere, many theaters although they are not large. Prices reasonable and they serve wine as well! Good place for a night out.
First time here, very impressed. Good staff. Great seats. I was kind of confused because we thought they had a legit sit down restraunt inside. But the chicken fingers are absolutely fantastic.
First time going, movie was great. Being able to have a beer while watching was awesome, but the some signs we seen about purses being a certain size needed to be checked for the well fair of their employees and patrons, and their was No one checking anyone or anybody for our and their safety. Seeing the signs made us feel some better but having no employee actually checking was disappointing
Enjoy watching- THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW .each month, with live shadow cast HOT PATOOTIES RHPS.
Regularly watching Tamil movies with bunch of friends here . Theatre is so good with nice seats and atmosphere. This is the only theatre in Greensboro playing Indian movies so we would love to repeat here whatever Tamil movies are being played. But my only request is to provide a After 10 P.M show on thursdays so that we can enjoy the movies with the bunch of friends where everyone finishes their work at 10 and I hope you guys will do it for an wonderful experience at red cinemas for us
Comfortable seating, easy parking, all the junk food youd like to snack on during your movie. Enjoy a matinee!
Went to see a movie with a friend. Staff was friendly and kind. The theater itself was fairly clean. However, the only downside was the actual treaters themselves. Very cramped seating and it was very hot inside. Ive seen two movies here and each time it was incredibly hot. Not too bad considering this place shows films that not many other places would.
No disrespect but you guys a stalking me. This is getting scary. Seriously.
Love the luxury recliners
Theater was very cool until you actually get into the movie room. It smelled and a vast majority of seating was closed for repairs.
Loved the art work on the building
Man it was FREEZING in this theater. Im even hot natured and I was miserably cold WITH my jacket on. What. The. Heck. The lady next to me had a blanket ...maybe people who live there know about
Love this place, its quaint, cozy, clean and comfortable all in one. It also gives the appeal of a private movie screening, abstract art gives a welcoming appearance to the building as well.
Nicely revamped movie theater. Seats are comfortable. Beer...... Yes you can get a beer and watch a movie
The theater I was in was freezing. Freezing to the point that I was glad to get outside to the warm 36 degree weather. It also has a weird strip club front for the Russian mafia vibe.
Love this Movie theater, they have reclining chairs and every new movie every week...prices are fair for the area
This is my favorite place to see a movie. The seats are comfortable and you can get a good beer. It gets crowded at peak times especially for new movies, but we try to do matinees.
A fun pleasurable movie going experience. They ran out of popcorn so when they popped fresh the manager actually delivered it to me while I was sitting in the theater. Its the small things that make a place great.
Such amazing artists at RED cinemas!! Jek, artistraman, jalel_ronin to name a few. This is definitely worth checking out.
I wish they reserved seats, but I love the atmosphere. Beer is affordable and local.
A very nice place to see a film and get a bite. Features first run movies in comfortable environment, good selection of snacks. I’ve enjoyed several films there recently and plan to go back.
Great pizza and self pouring butter for popcorn had a great time with my daughter and the movie Just Mercy was great.
Never had any issues here.
I was impressed with the wine glass chandeliers that hang on the ceiling. So much so that I wanted to take a picture of them. From what I could see the food looked good, and the ticket price was just right! Bathrooms were clean, and staff seemed nice. Might come back when I have some free time.
No no no!!! This was the worst, dirtiest, nastiest, horrible hood theatre ever!!! Most of the seats were strapped in black plastic and yellow caution tape. Like real real hood. I was itchy sitting there and left before the movie started. Never again!! And its like one of the most expensive theatres around Greensboro! I couldnt believe what I was seeing. Im still tripping like did I really just witness this??
Great theatre! Love the recliner seats & the lobby with all the tables & seating. Makes it really feel like a hangout. The pizza is pretty good & its nice to be able to have a glass of wine if youre in the mood for it.
Watched Bad Boyz Forever last week, the theater was clean, well decorated, the staff was extremely friendly especially the lady who sold me my ticket, crystal. I would highly recommend this theater to anyone.
Very clean and good price. Recline seating was awesome. Didnt get anything from concession but it was a good experience.
I was hoping the chairs were more comfortable. But in general was a good experience.
Why dont you fix your seats, and if you are going to offer online tickets, have a kiosk that actually works properly. Thanks for ruining Valentines Day.
Hands down our favorite theater in the area. The staff is amazing and friendly, snacks and food (pizza) is great. Really haven’t had a bad experience here. Love the popcorn and butter machine (I know it’s so bad for me but it is soooo good to indulge).
Its s good place to catch a movie and easy to get to. Always is clean.
Nice new seats that rock but dont decline. Art theme is very cool. First come first serve seating like the good old days
If you like movies, having an entire pizza, and a beer at 12:30 pm on a Sunday with barely anyone else around you in the theater, then this is your place.Honestly, I dont know why people dont do it more often, or go here for that. Because it is just wonderful.
This is a great place to watch a movie. You can buy real food and adult beverages too. Well run.
Would give zero stars if possible and my movie hasn’t even started yet! It’s christmas and My family prepurchased 4 tickets to see Knives Out. Not once on the website did it say we’d have to print out our tickets to get into our movie, we waited in line for 20 minutes (they were supposedly cleaning the theater), only to be told we have to print them out, we went and printed them out and then quickly made our way to our “Luxury” Seats. We walk in the theater to find there’s only 6 rows! TOTAL! I just had knee surgery and I almost fall due to the sticky floors! The floors are covered in trash and the tray tapes and cup holders are disgusting. My family had four people and we have to sit in the second row to the screen because there are so many seats with caution tape.We were not told there would be seats missing or covered in caution tape..This place is disgusting and I will never return.AVOID THIS THEATER AT ALL COSTS.$14 a person to be uncomfortable and disappointed
Good recliners and many screens. You want to watch telugu, English or hindi all movies are there. Liked it.
Nice seating. Lots of food options!!! Great popcorn.
Went there today and saw the lady that cooks the pizza touching all the ingredients without gloves. What made it worst is that this was after she had paraded back and forth without washing her hands! Gross!
I love this place. Never had I experienced comfy recliner seating. Environment was nice and clean.. bathrooms had a TV in it..that was diff2rent but interesting
Theater was nice it was my 1st visit but the people working snack bar need to realize they are there to serve and should be more helpful customer service is important to me I work hard for my $ I want go there again
Ok not exactly sure what is going on with this theatre but our experience yesterday was terrible! Half the seats in the theater were “closed” leaving an already small place crazy cramped. The floors were completely nasty. Drinks and food all over them. Your shoes stuck to the floor. To top it off the fire detector beeped the whole movie!!!! When leaving we told the manager about the smoke detector and the seating and his response is we are remodeling. The friend I was with had been a month before to RED cinema and experienced the same issue different theater. Bottom line we will not go back to this theater anytime soon!
They have the over-sized recliner seats with fixed side trays that do not fold down and out of the way; ergo somewhat of an inconvenience unless you have ordered food from their snack bar and/or in-house pizza grill. Otherwise, the acoustics are great & the staff friendly. The theaters and restrooms are clean, something to consider when flu season is upon us.
One of the best theaters. Everything is reasonably priced.
Excellent sound, comfortable seats. No complaints
Wide array of movies, local and just plain different from any theater Ive seen. You can also rent a theater for a party.
Cool place to catch a flick and even order a beer! Murals around building are AMAZING. Very cool.
This movie theater is one of the worst I have ever been to. The theater is tiny and they sell chips in bags so you can’t hear the movie with all the rude people. Management could care less about your personal experience. I do not recommend going if you actually want to hear the movie and enjoy your experience with frustration.
I LOVE their reclining seats the most! The awesome art work that wraps the outside of their building is awesome also!
Went to see Queen and Slim and it was showing in the smallest theater and half of the seats were out of order.
That time you went to the movie theatre on Halloween and second guessed that decision REAL quickly....Photos
This must have been accident. RED cinemas is great!
Red Cinema is a nice place since it still reminds me of the old Carousel.
Absolutely amazing! So super clean and beautiful building!
The most independent movie theater in the city and the favorite among locals in the area. This is often the only theater in town that will play small-budget, independent, documentary, foreign, and artsy films. That said, this is a full-sized theater with lots and lots of theater rooms, and it mostly plays all the major blockbuster movies. It has a beautiful mural on the side (pictured) as well as interior and is always well-staffed.
Went to see Toy Story 4 here... seating is not crowded, Concessions is clean and well-lit. Went to a matinee so the price is great! Very satisfied with our experience, go see your movie here!
Nice place to see a movie and grab a beer. Seats were very comfortable.
Always have had outstanding experience. Sat Nov 2 accidents waiting to happen. Many seats closed by fire marshall. Several elderly slipped and almost fell toward. They had to walk up and down steps to find seats only to find out seats closed by fire marshall.
Clean as movie theaters go. A varied menu including beer and wine.
I love this place, the movie ticket prices are really good and the chairs are pretty comfortable. Everyone is nice, and I just love the location. The paintings around the theatre is a great feature too
Unexpected movie theater.I enjoyed the experience.
Movie was good but seats were a little too close so the person in front of you would lean back and hit your knees. Nice reclining chairs though if no ones in front of you.
My favorite movie theater in Greensboro! All the Indie films, special events at reasonable prices, luxury seating, restaurant-quality food and monthly showings/performances of The Rocky Horror Picture Show!
Very comfortable seating .food and popcorn a little pricey ... Great seating ....
I like this cinema. Nothing super fancy, but the amenities are fine and the movie choices are great. I get tired of the same ol run-of-the-mill theaters of today. Miss the Janus and Terrace. Eh, perhaps Im just too nostalgic.
Great place to see movies if you like the huge seats and eating in, but not as romantic as other theaters.
I saw a movie at 5pm. Hardly any customers there at that time. Clean environment, comfortable seating.
Fantastic theater with a nice balance of modern comforts with nostaligic feel. Excellent local beers on tap.
Have a beer and watch a movie in a comfy chair. Would be nice to pick a seat beforehand but thats a very small gripe. Overall I like this theatre a lot
In my top 10 favorite places in all of North Carolina. Who can compete with a theater that has premium black (faux I think) leather eco-friendly reclining seats, the best audio and projector equipment in the state, a passionate workforce who not only get paid more than any other cinema employee in Greensboro, but actually love their jobs. The murals on the outside are beautiful and inspiring. And the ticket prices also tend to be the cheapest in town. Its like youd have to be a complete numbskull for going anywhere else. And I know for a FACT that you arent. Wanna know how I know that?1. You are smart enough to use this app.2. You read this crazy Army veterans lonely monologue in its entirety, which displays both patience and intelligence.Knowledge is fun. Now go watch awesome Marvel films.
