Grobschimdt Park is a lesser known park among Milwaukee Countys green treasures. The park has the feel of a northern Wisconsin forest. You wont find groomed fields and playgrounds. You will find trails and paths through woods and weed-covered fields. Its a refreshing place to explore with urban kids.

Very quiet, very natural, insects and birds in abundance. One large path goes completely around the lake with a couple other paths. Only one spot to get up close to the lake. Rough uneven stones make it too uncomfortable for barefoot walking. Overall a nice enjoyable park.

Little park next a mud lake. Well maintained.

Great morning hike and I even saw a Coyote which is super rare! Its the first time Ive ever seen one in the area and I frequent this park. Take the long way if you really want to enjoy it. The gravel track around the lake is nice but the best views are through the whole park. Over the years the trail has become better marked and easier to follow. The only downside is the trail can get muddy in a few spots when conditions are wet and people dont pick up their dog poop a lot. Otherwise I love Grobschmidt!

Trails can be muddy but its a beautiful natural place

A little muddy this time of year but saw 3 or 4 deer during our dusk walk. Also a few geocaches out here
