Definitely one of my favorite views in the park! Parking lot is right by the lookout so it is very tourist friendly, enjoy the views!

Drove through on a cloudy day, but WOW! I love driving and hiking through Colorado National Monument! Bring water, a pack and snacks, sunscreen, hiking boots. YOU WILL LOVE IT..... even if you dont get out of your car.

Accessible to anyone, dont even have to get out of the car if you dont want to or are unable.

The views were just breathtaking.

One of many amazing overlooks into the canyon land of Colorado National Monument. We were totally blown away by the the overlooks along Rim Rock Drive. We drove in from Fruita entrance, enjoyed a nice picnic at the Devils Kitchen shelter, then retraced our steps. HIGHLY RECOMMEND folks add time to their travel schedule for this easy detour off I-70 for a close up view of this natural wonderland!

Yep...grand view sums it up! Worth the trip... best as a reward for riding up the climbs, esp during the annual tour of the moon!

Amazing views! Go at sunrise or sunset for stunning pics

From this point, you get one of the most iconic views of the Monument looking to the north down into Monument Canyon. The precarious tower of Independence Monument rises archetypal above the canyon floor. Theres an aerie perch at the end of the Grand View trail that looks out over impressive geological panoramas. And Rimrock Drive, which winds precariously along plateaus edge is one of the most beautiful and dangerous drives in the country.
