This was wild. Their VR isn’t perfect but they had me believing I was in a firefight for my life against a horde of storm troopers and that if I missed my footing I’d fall off a cliff. When we walked past lava it got hot. On the cliff they blew fans at us. All of it added to the immersive feel. It’s worth trying out.
Ive been taking my kids there when they were young. My kids loved it!The whole place is in need of maintenance and a high pressure water cleaning. The kids dont seem to care and dont even see that; they have fun and enjoy the park ... and thats what matters most.Great to see that The VOID at Glendale Galleria is still around.
This was my first time ever experiencing Virtual Reality. It was INCREDIBLE !! This a birthday present, and we chose the Star Wars Rebellion. It seemed so real, to tell you the truth, I was about to quit, but Im glad I saw it through. I now see why people rave about this kind of entertainment. The Void also has Marvel The Avengers I would recommend this place to ANYONE, especially first timers.I am still telling people about this experience. The Staff atthe Void was so freindly and helpful. Pay them a visit, andmay the Force be with you.
Today my boyfriend and I did our first advanced virtual reality experience. We were excited to try the Avengers game since we had heard great things about it. We had an appointment at 5 oclock. When we arrived 10 minutes early, as advised. We were told they were behind and to come back and 5:30. Luckily we had time to do so and did not mind, however in another situation I could see this being problematic. Especially since the employees, which all were extremely kind, and appreciative of our understanding-told us since their time slots are set for 15 minutes but the game itself is actually 25-30 it has been an issue since they opened. Once we finally got brought inside and playing, half way through our game glitched. Resulting in us having to remove our helmets and somewhat taking the magic away of what we were experiencing. They apologized and had us start over again. This was good that we at least got to start over but still unfortunate . Overall the experience was fun, the game was fun and visually incredible-unlike anything Ive ever experienced. However these minor but multiple hiccups do rub you the wrong way when you are paying $40 per person to go. In total I have to rate it 3/5 stars, for the game, the kind employees but taking into account the problems along the way.PS anyone with hand/arm tattoos, the VR has a hard time registering you-a problem my boyfriend experienced
SO MUCH FUN. If you live nowhere near a VOID location I HIGHLY suggest this to be one of your stops during your trip through Cali. The experience is amazing and the amount of time you’re in the simulation is awesome as well!!! If you loved Disneyland you will definitely love your time at the VOID.
After seeing countless reviews of The Void for years, I finally got a chance to attend one - and it was amazing! There is nothing like being in a virtual world and having the physical world mirror it.The immersion in the Star wars game was unbelievable - the heat and the smoke and the flames were almost too real - it was awesome! For extra fun in the game - reach out and touch the walls and the other elements in the physical world while youre in the virtual one - it makes it so much cooler.
Its a near magical experience that ingeniously takes players to distant lands and allows them to interact in a virtual environment. Its an experience that will make you think the future really isnt too far off. Players wear large backpacks that hook up to their virtual reality helmets. Once inside the void, you forget where you are in a truly immersive experience that can take you anywhere. Really you have to experience it yourself.
Loved the experience. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. A fun experience for anyone even if you arent a fan of Star Wars.
Pros: This is an amazing experience. I would recommend it to any Star Wars fan, or just a fan of this technology.Cons: Its not long enough for the amount of money that you have to pay. There should also be a scoring system for competition, and re-play ability. As it is now, there is no reason to do this again. I also think there should be more shooting, puzzles, etc. If there was more time, maybe that would be the case.I would give it 5 stars, but the Cons are definitely something that should be addressed. Keep making this experience better!!
Great fun, personable guides, will be back again! Did the Avengers experience which definitely lived up to the hype.
A super cool VR experience! Recommended for everyone, its a great experience with realistic movement.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. We did the Star Wars Experience and man... THAT WAS FUN!This is the best VR experience Ive had. Im looking forward to going back.
I had an amazing experience with my siblings doing the Star Wars VR. I wish the length was similar to the Avengers (as I was told it was about 2x longer) so that we would have had more time to go on another mission! It was great though.
This was such a rad experience. Great for the whole family (who can fit in the gear). My headset was a little blurry, but the staff handled that situation well. Friendly staff, but they seemed bored. Its such a short experience which I feel doesnt reflect the price. Excited for new technology advancements when they come. Be great to have more puzzles to solve instead of just shooting. But worth at least one experience! Easy and quick set up.
It was amazing!!!! We did the Star Wars Experience and the immersion was incredible - you really got to feel like you were part of the environment, and I found myself at parts yelling from fear or surprise because of how real everything felt! We also came quite late due to a scheduling mix-up, and the staff was so kind and more than happy to fit us in and make sure we had a great time. The only thing I wished was different was an opportunity for more puzzle solving to lengthen the experience a bit more, but even without that it was 100% worth it.
Great experience. Sis took good care of us friendly and very profeshional.
Was skeptical about this place because of typical VR places. Nope. I know it sounds cliché but you forget youre in Glendale for those 20 minutes youre doing this. Its that good
Husband took daughter 7yrs and said it was all work it. The haunted one was CRAZY scary. Cant wait to go myself but Im pregnant
This is absolutely INCREDIBLE! We did the Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire and it really make you feel like you are in a galaxy far far away from Glendale! Well worth the price of admission (about $32). This is the absolute cutting edge of VR technology and is definitely worth checking out! Theres also different scenarios if youre not into Star Wars, so call ahead to see what theyre offering!
A+++++ Went there for my first time with my 10 and 11 year old. Awesome!!! The staff did a really great job getting us set up and everything was Super Fun from start to finish. Absolutely recommend this. Nothing like this compares to the VR interactive experience. You are not just watching...You are the Main Characters.
Totally surprised by the content. Very real experience. Not for the easily confused.
We had so much fun. The staff was amazing especially Stephen. Thank you so much for the experience !!!!
Vr is great, but its interesting to feel a doorway or a wall. The environments are set up to match whats happening in the VR helmet.
This was the first time my 11 year old son and I had done anything like this and it was so much fun. We couldnt believe how immersive it was. What topped off a really great experience was the friendliness of the staff. They were all amazing from beginning to end. We are definitely doing this again.
So much fun, my stepson loved every minute
An amazing experience to do. (Just too pricey)
VR experience was really fun and interesting. But the on boarding experience was a bit confusing. Too many people milling around. Not sure where the line is. Had to wait a long time in the lobby at our designated time. Delays up to wazoo. People were nice. Kiosk process was easy to use. Would recommend but not sure if I would return. Might though.
The ultimate virtual reality experience, cant wait to go back!First floor on the Target side of the mall. Parking lot A is great, and you can also walk through JCPenney and its right there. This is a fully immersing virtual reality experience, you go from room to room and its amazing. Your friends and family will be in full Storm trooper virtual costumes that move with you. (so cool). We did the Star Wars experience and I only wish I could do it again and again. I will be trying the location in Vegas and NY.I look forward to more great experiences coming to this location.I will be back 100000%Thank you.Update:: Went back for the horror one.... wow, really scary and super fun. Cant wait to bring my friends.
This place is awesome!!! An experience that everyone should try!! Its a lot of fun and at a good price. Check it out everyone!
Such a realistic experience! The VR is absolutely amazing. Very pricey for a short amount of time, but its worth it to try!
We did the Storm Trooper experience and it was definitely one of the most amazing gaming/entertainment experiences. The moment you step out onto the first platform, you let yourself go and get completely immersed in the action. It’s worth the money and I’ll definitely be coming back for different experiences. The staff were all really friendly too and it’s a great facility.
Extremely fun and immersive experience! I work in themed entertainment and this was by far the best experience Ive had with VR. This fit well over my glasses and the loading was really great. Usually when a larger person sees a clip-in vest situation we get a little nervous, but they had extenders built in to some of them so loading went smoothly. You dont need to block out a whole hour as the website says (it makes it think the experience will be really long). It lasts about 15 minutes and ends just before you start getting VR sickness.
So. Much. Fun. We did the Star Wars experience and almost immediately walked back in to do the Nicodemus one, but werent sure we could do it without losing our sanity. In the Star Wars one, you get to shoot laser guns at stormtroopers - every kids dream!
Awesome experience, but if this is your first time I would suggest the Star Wars option. The ghostbusters VR is nice but to short for the money your about to spend. I would also recommend the void in downtown Disney over the Glendale location just because the staff look a bit more friendly.
Awesome experience!!! LOVED IT!!!! the staff are very nice and knowledgeable, fun place for all
Our family did the Star Wars experience while we were on vacation. This was the 1 thing the kids had to do. We all loved it. The staff was great and so friendly. They explained how everything was gonna work. My only complaint was that it wasnt long enough ;).
Fun but very fast experience
Had so much fun at the Star Wars VR experience. Its a little brief, but youll have a good time being a storm trooper. The VOID itself has friendly staff and pretty quick service.
Very intense and entertaining, but pricey for how short the experience was(I did the Ghostbusters sequence)
Friendly and helpful staff. First time going and went to the starwars experience. Was very fun and interactive. Im giving it 4/5 stars because the length of the experience was too short for the money paid. Imo should be 25-30 mins long and not 12-15 mins. Go on a weekday, less busy. Fun activity idea to do with family and friends.
A Wow! experience. If you ever wanted to get immersed into the Star Wars Universe this is the place to go. More fun and realistic that some rides at the overpriced theme parks.
Awesome virtual reality experience! You have to try this to truly understand how immersive it feels! You are totally wireless and touching real walls while in a virtual game! It tricks your senses and you feel like your really inside the game. Star Wars is awesome - love the story line and shooting Storm troopers!
I took my 10 year old son to the Ghostbusters and he loved it.
Great experience but way too short for the wait & price.
Really fun experience! VR/AR has come far. It blew my expectations away.
Wonderful centre with lots of variety.
Do you want to shoot storm troopers and exist in the Star Wars universe for 15 minutes? Look no further. This is what the future is going to be. Why watch a movie when you can be an actor? This is so cool.
Honestly, it was amazing but I was kinda disappointed by how short it was.
Awesome experience! Unlike anything that Ive ever done and definitely worth a visit or 3.
Totally a blast! A great experience. I would go there again!
This place is next level coolest experience ever
My group had to split up because they only allow 4 people in at a time. One of the people in my group had technical difficulties with their gear, but it was discovered before we went in so the staff helped get my friend a new vest and helmet. Staff were great overall, nice and competent with directions. I came on a weekend afternoon and theres a lot of waiting to go in just because they are busy. They have free lockers for guests to use which is nice.Immersive story and interaction with characters. Worth trying once but Im not sure I would I again - even though there are a variety of great plots - Star Wars and Wreck it Ralph Breaks VR.
A really awesome and immersive experience that makes you feel and believe you are in the story. This is something you have to experience to understand what the future of virtual reality should be!!!
We played Ralph Breaks VR at The Void at the mall location in Glendale California. This experience is amazing. It’s an interactive game where you become a cartoon character in the world from the animated feature Ralph Breaks the Internet. Even though the world is virtual, you do actually interact with physical items and walk throughout the space. It’s really incredible. I went in thinking it would be an escape room like the other virtual escape rooms we had played previously at other companies, but was not disappointed even though it is absolutely NOT an escape room. You are playing a game and you can compete against the other players. It is a wonderfully fun and immersive VR experience. The staff was very professional and friendly at this location. I highly recommend it.
Secrets of the Empire is an absolute must for Star Wars fans! You need to do this. Ive done it twice and I was completely blown away. The technology can only be improved, I cant imagine what this will be like in 5 years. Also when you first meet K2SO reach out and touch him. Cant wait to try the Ghostbusters version. Go with at least 2 other people, as teams are split up into groups of 3 or 4, and I find its easier to boss my friends around to complete tasks then it is complete strangers. Plan on spending about 25 minutes from beginning to end, kinda pricey, but so worth it for hardcore fans.
I had a fun time! The staff was awesome and professional!
Fun experience but too short for the price. They need to extend the amount of shooting you do. 1 minute is not enough. Still fun though.
A really great experience. This is the future of Virtual Reality right here.
Guys.... you gotta try this?!?!This was hubbys second time and my first at the Void. He had tried their Star Wars VR a few weeks back and absolutely loved it so when he found out there was a Ghostbusters one, he knew Id be a fan! I mean, cmon, what 80s kid didnt dream about having their own proton pack and zapping ghosts?!?!So after you check in, you watch a video and then suit up with your proton pack, VR helmet and blaster gun. There are a few rooms you enter into and a lot of the rooms actually have things you can interact with. When ghosts interact with you, you feel vibrations too!The only down side is that the whole thing is soooo short!!!!!! Like 15 min??? Realllyyy wish it could have been longer but it was still fun!
It was okay, went to the Ghostbusters experience but everything was Star Wars themed. Parking is fine, and locating the venue is relatively easy if you park on the correct side of the mall.
The experience itself is billed at two years ahead of everything else which may be true with regards to the competition, but compared to an experience that can be obtained at home its not that much ahead. The duration of the experience was much too short. It probably was over in 10 to 15 minutes. The visual quality of the headsets was less than it could be - its based on Oculous technology and the processor is worn on the back. I would have preferred a heavier backpack and a crisper, less laggy visual. Overall it was pretty impressive but will become outdated in 18 months or less. There were a lot of misinterpreted movements and it only has about 80% accuracy with regards limb positioning. Its worth the money. Could be better though to make it worth the participants time.
An out of your mind experience
So Rad and so much fun. Better than what i expected
Starwars VR is such an innovation to my selection of entertainments that its worth 30$. definitely worth the money. Its one of those experiences you cant imagine until you are in it. worth just experiencing it.
Incredible. Everyone needs to experience this.
Great experience!
Family fun time
Very interesting experience. My wifes fear of heights kicked in even though we knew it wasnt real.
Awesome experience, kind of pricey for the length of the experience. However, it is executed nearly flawlessly and a must-do for huge star wars fans.
Loads of fun, especially when you go with a group of friends.
Very immersive, very fun place to go to on a date if youre into VR
I done shot up them stormtroopers. Picture me rollin
Fun. i wish it would have lasted a bit longer...
Im a big fan of virtual reality who tries to experience all the VR that comes to town. Without a doubt, in the year 2018, The VOID is the best consumer experience out there. This particular location is on the ground floor of the Glendale Galleria, inside of the mall. Entering their storefront puts you in a small lobby. In the lobby they process your arrival and have you select your avatar for the experience. They also sell branded hats, shirts, and hoodies here. From the lobby they move you into a video room where you receive a briefing of the mission. Next you move to the gear room, where you don a backpack, headset, and hand tool. They offer lockers for any possessions youd rather not carry into the experience. They also offer extension straps for the VR backpack, so a guy like me who has a big gut and wears a 4XL shirt was able to fit the backpack. Ditto my wife who is more bust than stomach. Once properly kitted you lower the goggles over your eyes, are led to the start area, and then begin. The VR experience is top of the line consumer VR. The content is excellent, the equipment is excellent, and the immersive elements are excellent. The experience requires you to wear equipment and physically walk through spaces while VR goggles are over your eyes. Theyve mapped the world you see in VR to match the real world so you won’t walk into anything. Its also worth noting that there are environmental effects that add to the experience. Some of these are tactile and some are for your other senses. The going rate for VR experiences is roughly $1 to $3 per minute, so in that regard The VOID is a fair price. I walked out of the experience thinking it was worth every penny. My wife felt that it was a bit expensive for the duration. We did the Ghostbusters experience and will return for others some other time. We have previously done The VOIDs Star Wars experience at Downtown Disney. Other than the settings the primary difference between the two is the haste. The Star Wars experience possesses a feeling of urgency. It has you move quickly through perilous zones and has you move more vigorously while shooting. The Ghostbusters experience is much more laid back. While you have a mission to complete there is little sense of harm and therefore no need to hustle. Curiously, my missus enjoyed the Ghostbusters experience more than the Star Wars one because it was less physical, but she felt like she get more of her money’s worth from the Star Wars experience.
Ive been meaning to try this for months. 30 bucks buys you 15 minutes of action and maybe another 15 of pre and post amble. I didnt mind the length, though of course longer would have been great. I didnt experience any motion sickness which has been a problem with other vr style experiences. The equipment worked and the staff was professional. Would return to do a different experience.
It was great, everyone should go. Im telling my friends, and you.
Amazing Place To Go Shopping and love the space
Very unique experience!
Great Sevice!
Dope.

Koo
Amazinggggg
Real Fun!
