We loved the park, nice trails and wild nature, but please watch out for ticks, we spent an hour there and came out covered in ticks, think twice before bringing dogs to this park, otherwise you will have a lot of issues removing ticks from them
Great trails. Watch for seed ticks though!
Not sure how anyone can state this place is quiet. Simply looking at a map tells you it is surrounded by major roads. It is not quiet. The roar of traffic AND jets flying overhead disturbs the serenity and beauty. If you are noise sensitive, take earplugs. It took approx. an hour to walk all the trails, except the one running along the road. Approx. 2 hours if you stroll. Mostly forested trails with minimal open space. The clearing is breathtaking. Various hardwoods and pine dot the view. There is a march with a trail around half of it, which appears to border private property. All the trails were high and dry except 1 place. Go check it out as it is a beautiful park. The parking area feels sketchy as several cars stopped to do whatever while I was eating lunch there. No trouble occurred though. Note: There is a sign at the entrance stating within appox. a .8 mile drive, north on 26 on opposite side of road are more hiking trails. This is misleading. Apparently it is a camping spot for those who reserve it in advance, located behind a gate, down a road. I had no idea until I stumbled upon someone camping there! Awkward. No signage until you arrive that it is a camping area. The trails were overgrown and flooded on 2/14.
Cool little place. Small trail. Great for walking the dog, or just a quick hike.
I went out into a forest of magic and mystery with swamps and a cool feild and planes flew over head. Thought it was a dragon, but it was just a plane :(
Bring some boots if you have them, some parts are kind of marshy! Really cool place, I enjoyed the scenery. Less open and sandy than San Felasco (from what I saw of each, at least).
This place was scary I didnt hate it but this place was scary didnt look like anybody had been on this path for a long time and there was a giant spider right at the gate
My favorite in Gainesville. A beautiful, magical atmosphere
Beautiful and clean! Well taken care of here!
Nice place, great gardens
Small, but very nice, quiet
Trail is clean, always quiet, deer are there and active in the morning near the water.
Peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. Just what I need to relieve stress.
So breathtakingly beautiful.
Relaxing and beautiful nature
It was a beautiful trail with lots of fungi and different plants to see. Do not forget your bug spray.
Classic flat woods ecosystem.
Beautiful place
