While this theater doesnt have recliners it still is a nice theater with great workers. This is one of the few places in town where you can watch indie films or foreign movies before they gain popularity.(Such as parasite) So I will keep coming here.
While not necessarily a good deal, the rooms are acceptable and the amenities are too. It is accessible and has a nice size parking lot, but nothing about the place makes me wanna recommend this location over any other theater, it is the definition of average really, but its a shame they charge the same as same other theaters that are much better.
Unfortunately the theater was closed, but the manager came out and directed us to a theater that was open, which did impress me .
I like Royal Park Theatres because I always have a pleasant experience. Staff are very respectful and friendly. I usually go on week nights because I dont like big crowds. They still have the original movie theater seats but, for 2 hrs or so thats fine with us. It would be nice if they could lower prices but, they probably wouldnt be open.
Smaller theater, definitely an older building. The seats are separated into two sections, the first is really close to the screen and not very tiered, the second is tiered but far away from the small screen. But they play movies for longer runs than other theaters in the area, so it has some redeeming qualities. The employees are nice, concessions is good, parking was easy.
The movie, ONWARD, was entertaining, the staff was polite and helpful, and the popcorn was good. Cant ask much more from a theatre than that. We go there all the time. Parking is well lit, its a nice neighborhood, we always have a great time.
Our local movie theater. Nothing special but it does the job.
Say it with me I will never ever buy anything from the concessions at the movie theater ever again. Say it again I will never buy anything from the concessions at the movie theater ever again. Dear movie theaters how do you ever think young adults on dates would be able to afford to go to a movie. Again say it with me I will never buy anything from the concessions at movie theater ever again!!!!!!!!!
I like this theatre. Im in a wheelchair & appreciate the space given to handicapped people. All three Regal cinemas in town are great; two of them have reclining seats. Food is expansive & expensive. Were Regal Club members & get free popcorn and drinks fairly frequently.
We enjoyed our visit. Comfortable we had fourteen of us go see Downton Abbey. We bought our tickets on line and the staff was helpful in getting tickets to others who didnt arrive when we did. Concession $$$$ crazy expensive.
Super busy, screen quality and sound were good. Prices were good for a matinee. The seats were not comfortable though and most of the patrons were very plus sized. I could sit ok in the seat, but the couple next to me were literally spilling over the armrest into my seat which made the whole experience extra uncomfortable.
Love this place. Ive gone to this one twice, once with my friends for a friend of mine birthday, and once to go see Beetlejuice. Both times staff was friendly and the theatres were clean. Food is what youd expect for theatre prices. Theres a small arcade and a photo booth, too.
Good. Tuesday & Wednesday, Kids Specials, All concession stand registers should be open. Once the majority of patrons have been checked in, only one checker is needed verify payment and which theater. By this time, theaters have been selected. The extra two that are standing could possibly help with popcorn, drinks or the register. There were long lines in the concessions 45 minutes after the movie started. Staff however were awesome.
I enjoy this Regal. It is always clean and inviting. They dont have recliners but the seats are comfortable.
I do not go to the movies often. A new thing for me at this theater is assigned seating. So be prepared when you purchase your ticket to decide where you would like to sit.
This theater has been around d for a long time. It has a lot of theaters so it usually has more movies playing at one time. With that being said. This theater has not been upgraded like the Cinema 14 and Celebration Point Theaters. The seats are normal theater seats. Its still a nice theater though. When you are buying your tickets. A helpful hint. If the line is long. Walk inside and on either side of the entrance before you reach the concessions is a kiosk with a touch screen. You can purchase tickets from those as well. I usually walk right up get my ticket and then get my soda and popcorn before my friends in line outside even get inside. Yes, you can use your regal crown club card at the kiosk. If you get there early there are a couple games to the right just past the concessions. They do have a party room if you would like to have a birthday party at the theater for your kids. This theater is located just off Newberry Rd. West of 34th St. Look for Ballyhoos.
Its a movie theater. Overpriced. Too many ads/previews. Who has the time? Place was empty, pretty much (thats not a bad thing).
Not as busy as Celebration Point. Still a good family movie experience. Staff is courteous and attentive.
A lot of the snacks and drinks were out of stock. So our selection was limited. The seating was typical of a theater. And the prices were reasonable. Ill give the place one more chance.
No movie times posted, expensive concessions and tickets. Uncomfortable seats. Nice staff.
Very good and clean. The seats dont recline, but it was enjoyable. Very helpful staff.
Great seats. Fast service with the assistive device. Clean. Enjoyable.
Feel like this place should be cheaper consider the other two locations got comfier seats.
My go to theater. Never crowded. So seating is easy to get. I usually go matinee but I decided to go during regular show time to see a popular movie/bio and I was not disappointed with the available seating. Its clean and well kept in my opinion. Good customer service at the ticket booth and inside at the concessions.
Frozen 2 was great. Though it wasnt easy to find the right seats. Maybe something bigger to mark the aisles so a person knows which are where
Good theater but needs some minor updating with newer style seating.
I like this theater because of its location and its not too crazy and overcrowded with people. Just the right amount of people, the viewing rooms are a little old, but good enough for me.
This theater had very good movie selection. The seats were comfortable and had the adjustable arm rest. Although there is very little business coming in and out, sometimes it is nice to be able to watch a movie without a packed movie theater. The price is however definitely are expensive so be prepared to spend over $20 on yourself and your date.
Regal Royal Park 16 Might be one of The Worse Cinemas in Gainesville FL. For one, The Seats areOld Fashioned Cramped Beside One Another and They Make Your Whole Body Feel Stiff as a Rod. Then There is ofcourse The Terrible Screens, Also Outdated, and Exceptionally Low Quality, Taking The Joy Out of Any Single Movie You Are Watching. Same Goes For The Audio Quality. I Felt Like I Was Back in The 90s and I May As Well Have Been Watching a Bootlace VHS my Grandma Bought off The Guy at The Corner Market. Warning: Avoid This Regal Location at all Costs if You Actually Care About a Movie or Simply Want To Avoid Wasting Your Hard Earned Money.
Love this theater. Seats are comfy. Screen is big. Seems more spacious than Butler Plaza. Self serve kiosk is good.
Its an old theater, and the seating isnt great, but the prices are good, and they play a lot of indie and other types of films. Its a cozy theater too.
Good as usual nothing fancy just those theater prices for drinks and food are high.
All that is missing is to up grade the seats. Still a great place to catch a moive.
Not my favorite movie watching experience and the prices are considerably higher than other movie theatres. Nonetheless, they offer student discounts and pleasant staff members
Well kept movie theater. Clean and enjoyable experience with friendly staff
Everything was good. The staff were friendly. One irritating thing. We had to pick our seats when we bought the tickets. Instead of just paying and going in, you pay and then have to look at a seating map and select seats. Luckily there was only one other person in line who thought it was funny you had to select seats. There were only 10 people in the whole theater but we all had reserved seats.
The movie tickets were $12.50 a person and the seats werent even reclining. While we were watching Joker you could clearly hear Frozen II throughout the entire movie. If we could hear Frozen in our movie, think about the kids trying to watch Frozen with the sound of gunshots and the F bomb in the background! The entire experience was ridiculous!
I took my grandson (4) and granddaughter (10) to see The Missing Link. The staff was great. The theatre was slow when we arrived. The concession staff saw me struggling to walk (temporarily impaired from injury) and keep track of two very curious and excited kids. They kindly offered (and did) to bring my granddaughters corn dog nuggets into the theatre for me. Exact words, Its gonna take about seven minutes for those corn dog nuggets. Why dont you go on in and get comfy with the kids. Its slow right now, Ill be happy to bring them in to you. Unfortunately I cant remember the young ladys name but...thank you! You really gave me a helping hand!
Although this theater is not equipped with the new reclining chairs, its still a clean and friendly theater. The staff are nice and helpful and the facilities are clean. The newer theaters tend to sell out more quickly so this is a great alternative when you want to see a new movie. They are also a larger theater so they offer a lot more movies. Parking can get busy but its better than the Archer Theater. Great restaurants close by too.
Their seats dont recline. Ive gotten use to the recliners at the other theaters in Gainesville. I think they need a good makeover and do some upgrades, other than that it was fine. I probably wont go back to this theater.
Great movies! Awesome popcorn! Great senior deals.
This theater needs some major enhancements. The sound is not surround, and you can hear everyone around you. The seats do not recline and are not as comfortable. One thing I they got going for them: very clean.
Great theater with extremely comfortable chairs.
Nice movie theater and very clean but the staff could have been more helpful and welcoming.
I found it a very comfortable place to enjoy a movie. We didnt have to wait in line and were not crowded in. The staff did everything to make us welcome. Also telling us about amenities to make our experience perfect. I look forward to going here again.
Got our movie tickets and then went inside to get food and drink for me and my bf and then the guy said he only does online orders and wouldnt help us so I went to a different line then he hollered at other people to come take their order ...like ok? And then the lady who I gave my tickets to said the movie was gonna be on the right and it was on the left . No one seemed pleased to work there . No smiles or greeting . Theater was dirty and sticky seat handles . Movie was good though .
A little older but still great! The movie was awesome, but the sound was a bit low.
The good ole movies! Sound could have been a little better, but the same great movie
Went to see numerous movies here. Aladdin, Dumbo, etc. I do appreciate the discount since I am a UF employee but I do have a problem with the seating. My back always starts hurting about an hour into the movie. The popcorn is good and the soda also.
Great movie
Good theater BUT food bar is very pricy .
The Movie i went to see it was called The Lion king it was amazingly excellent better than the oregional The lion king!
Watched Pope Francis: A Man of his Word with friends. Had not been to a theatre in a long time. A little price shock for the matinee showing, $42 just for tickets for 4 people. Theatre clean, a little humid till the movie started then fine. Staff pleasant. Sound was good.
The Best movie spot in Gainesville when you want to seat in a Quick Movie theater and enjoy a Me* Day.
Seats arent at all up to date...& they smelled old... I wouldnt visit again as it was my 1st time going. Ticket, drink & popcorn 1 person $26... it wasnt worth it due to the theater wasnt at all comfortable..
I like this one way better than the new and improved Regal 14 at Butler Plaza definitely the recliner seats are okay but I dont see why you have to reserve the seats. They would do themselves a favor if they just went back to first come first serve because personally I went there and yes the recliners were nice. but seating in recliners are not worth all the hassle they put you through. The only Improvement I would put on Regal 16 at Newberry is that they should get wider seats with the arm rests that go up and then they will be a perfect movie theater. I would give them 5 stars.
Is a good place, not to crowded.
Terrible theater, we will tell everyone what you did to us.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Theater was clean. No frills but decent seating.
Comfortable seats, great view of the screen, better than average sound, clean with a large concession area. No outside noise. We like this place.
Staff was not ready for business, popcorn tasted ok, Lady who took our tickets was very Friendly
Great theater, but is not upgraded yet to recliners like the Butler 14.
It is a very fun and joyful place just needs a bit lower prices but other than that its very good.
Friendly staff. Clean and well maintained theater. Excellent selection of movies.
Im a movie theater guru. Ive never had a problem with Regal Cinemas. Love them and highly recommend them.
Nice and clean. And the beer was also cold. So we were happy.
I enjoy this theatre. They had a problem with the movie, but they allowed us to go into any of the other movies playing AND gave us a free movie pass. I consider that great customer service.
Nice place. Always bring a jacket
Big concession stand seats are ok
These theaters are great! The temperature is usually perfect. The volume is set right. The selections stay around long enough that you can avoid opening week crush. The concessions selections are very varied, although I dont agreed with alcohol at the movies, but overall are very good. Their popcorn is very good! I just wish at the butter station, they would put a big tub so you could pour out part of the popcorn, put butter & salt, put the rest back and add more butter and salt. That way you wouldnt end up with butter & salt just on top! Great place to kill a day binge watching 3-4 movies!
Great movie, snacks expensive!
Very dated and needs an upgrade. But I love the fact that they play slightly older movies. So we can catch them even 2-3 months after the release.
Had our tickets, quick in and was clean
Didnt have enough assistive devices for my family, and the 1 they did have that we requested didnt even have a charged battery, so we couldnt use it. Management said theyd bring it to us once it was charged, but they never did. Was given 2 free any movie any time tickets for compensation to make up for such poor service.
Great seats, popcorn price too high!
Ticket prices were definitely on the high side of what I am used to, $25 for two of us plus snack bar. Small soda was $6. Theater was very nice and clean, staff was helpful and very friendly
Great place, has older style seats which you may prefer over the new/renovated theaters.
Great movie theater and the atmosphere is amazing! Always shows the newest movies out and the prices arent too high; especially if you join the Regal Rewards Club to enjoy some great perks! The club is free to join by the way. The staff is very friendly and make sure you walk in and leave the theater pleased.
Just your average movie theater. Staff was nice. Went to see Shazam! at the 6:10 showtime and the auditorium has an odd odor to it.
I am not sure if its all movie theaters or just this one but it made me remember why I DO NOT go to the movies. $32 for 2 adults and a 3 year old for a matinee? Then there was the food... $5 for a very small bag of M&Ms? Then you wonder why people sneak their own snacks in, really? It cost almost $30 for popcorn, 1drink and 2 snacks - RIDICULOUS! The seating was old and the theater small but the prices were HUGE!!!! I went go back!
This is a nice theater with good sound and comfy seats. It is always best and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. They make it an enjoyable place to relax and watch a movie.
This theater is in need of an overhaul. Smells a bit musty, old seats and the noise from adjacent theater is very annoying.
Very nice, easy to buy a ticket even 5 minutes into previews. Small theaters but big enough screens to not be weird. Overall, good experience
Been going here ever since it was built. Still a VERY decent theater though the carpet every where is a little dated. The staff are friendly and theaters are still enjoyable. *TIP: skip the line and walk inside to use the kiosk, youll save a bunch of time.
Lost my wallet there and they were super helpful and took great care of it. Food was good. Had a slight moldy smell in one of the theaters we were in, but that was the only one. The others have been great.
Its a good place to watch a movie and its cheep
The lights don’t go off which makes it hard to see the movie....
We visited on a weekday evening. So, staff seemed minimal, but sufficient. We would have liked the auditorium signage to be a little better, as we walked past our auditorium the first time (admittedly, the sign was off to the side, relative to the others). Theater was clean and comfy.
Great movie quality great sounds quick snack area. the bathroom was a little dirty but I notified somebody. I only wish the seats recline other than that overall great experience.
Nice theater. You can spend a lot at the concession but thats to be expected.
Nice & Clean but there are no reclining seats here.
Its was a terrible experience. We went to see a 7:20pm movie on a Saturday night. There was only one person working the ticket booth so the line was to the end of the building. Once we got our tickets we encountered another long line to get popcorn and drinks. Then we tried to get butter for the popcorn only to find all the machines were empty. I asked if they could be changes and waited about 5 min while the butter line grew and finally gave up. We noticed a manger walking by and my husband told him how bad the service was and his response was that they had been slow and they sent people home. Needless to say we were late to our movie. When you entered the building it smelt like cleaned up vomit. And when we left the restrooms were filthy, what a surprise.
Every thing is good with regal but .. why you don’t come up with Bollywood movies.. AMC is better than regal . They have at least wide variety of movies
Comfy seats with good snacks
Nice theater. Been there many times, usually in the daytime. It is always clean and the staff is friendly. I like the ticket machines being available to skip the lines. Havent ordered much food other than popcorn so not much to report there. The seats are good but not great.
In comparison the theater is garbage to the rest in Gainesville. The theater stinks and the seats are terrible.
The employees are quick and waiting in line wasnt long. Theyre also very understanding. I loved the fact they were enforcing that everyone had to show their IDs to see a rated R movie, even if they werent buying the tickets. Thats how it should be done! My only complaint is the lack of respect the audience had for everyone around them. Was watching a horror movie and there was constant laughing and loud talking with random phone lights flashing all across the theater. Great place though! Love going to see movies here!
Went to watch Black Panther but unfortunately had to cancel plans after the tickets were purchased. Manager was extremely helpful and provided my girlfriend and I with vouchers for re admission. Great and quick customer service!
