Great theater, love the electric recliners, with cup holders, all in a stadium seating layout. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is the theater which works with The Joy FM, local radio station to pre-screen new Christian movies. We have seen over 1/2 dozen of these movies. The place is definitely better since they renovated awhile back. They offer a wide range of drinks and candies, ice creams, and popcorn. Located close to restaurants and multiple ways to get in to the parking and into the theater, easy to see from the road as long as you are on Frontage road and not Archer. We went here to watch Breakthrough, but due to so many people showing up, we gave our seats away so others could see it.

Nice recliner chairs and staff. I dont know why but one of the hallways smelled really bad.

Went to view the HD MET Opera Simulcast. Theater #5. Imagine my very pleasant surprise to find that it is totally upgraded with huge, comfy electric recliner seats. Very clean and great audio and acoustics.

Four stars because it was cold. Starter commercials too loud. Otherwise, I enjoyed it. Really liked the recliner chairs. First time being their since they changed seating. Yes, I know the seating has been in place awhile. I do not go to the theaters much.

Better since the renovation with good recliner seats. However, I dont care for the lack of paper towels in the bathroom... Its a cheap choice on the part of regal.

Took the kids to see Toy Story4, great movie. Just wish I purchase tickets prior so I could get better seats. Seats were very comfortable & recliners back. Did not like the prices for popcorn and drink but thats with every movie theater. Place is cleaned and well organized, good amount of employees to help you out, if needed.

The movie was awesome and the young man out front was great. He did his best to help me out. My spouse & I asked about the movie subscription & if we had time to sign up & still catch the movie in time. He wanted to make sure he gave us the right answer so he went and double checked with another staff member who confirmed that we were good and should be able to use the subscription immediately. Well, apparently you have to use it within 20 min of the movie starting and even though we asked well before, we missed the window by the sweet kid at the box office asking. When he realized his mistake, he was sweet & apologized and suggested we speak to the manager as he suggested our movie of choice was empty we should be seated anyway since the app/ subscription did not work now. So, HERE is where my review actually begins. TIM, the supposed manager at Regal has about as much customer service and people skills as a wooden spoon or a brick wall on a sunny day. He did not greet us, ask us what the problem was, or ask how he could help. Just looked at me and my wife and said its not working when he attempted to use my QR code. Well, obviously if I am at the management area and not speaking to the teenager that should be getting your salary. I can only infer that he was only completely incapable of helping which makes no sense as I can imagine being a manager anywhere is hard work and would take some skill, but the only other option is for me to assume that he didnt want to help us because we didnt look like his everyday traditional couple. He literally just stared at my wife and didnt even speak to us. Regal should be ashamed of his behavior. If he was having a bad night, he should have allowed someone else to help us, because he didnt even try nor care to. I have already contacted regal corporate as he still made us pay for two more tickets after we just enrolled in the yearly subscriptions. After 20 years going to Butler Regal, Tim has been the most rude individual I have ever encountered in Gainesville.

My go to theater. Never crowded. So seating is easy to get. I usually go matinee but I decided to go during regular show time to see a popular movie/bio and I was not disappointed with the available seating. Its clean and well kept in my opinion. Good customer service at the ticket booth and inside at the concessions.

Just like at Celebration Pointe, they have the most comfortable theatres around. Plenty of leg room, recliners to watch movies in comfort, easy ticket purchase stands.

Wow what a great theater! Sure, it is old an old building... but we cant all be the nice new Celebration Point!

Recliner seats and small theaters, very cozy. The recliner seats are not couple seats like in other regals though. And on weekends some of the movies fill up fast.

Went for a special Fathom premiere. Attendees were all supposed to get limited offering posters for attending. The theater had given them away already,even though we went to the first of only 2 showings...I call b.s. More like their employees or an employee helped themselves. Will never host a MeetUp at this venue again.

If I could give a 0 at this point I would. I came tonight for the first sneak peak showing of Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, which was advertised to come with a poster. Upon check in I was informed that they didnt have the posters. That they were given out with the first showing... Which means the employees who got to see it when it first arrived took tbe posters that were supposed to be handed out today... The sneak preview to the public

Love this cinema. All the seats can lay down fully. They have half off popcorn in Tuesday’s. Amazing

Bought a small popcorn with butter against my instincts. 2 hours later and Im destroying my toilet at home with diarrhea. And I have an iron stomach, that never happens to me. Either the workers dont wash their hands, or the equipment is never cleaned. Never eating the popcorn again. Ill just sneak in my own.

I always love going to this theater. Its clean, food tastes good, and as someone with back issues, the seats are nice and cal recline back with the legs going up. There is also more then one bathroom so if you leave during the movie and one has a line, there is always a couple more, but they are never that bad. The lines are long if you dont get a ticket online, but both online and in person,you can see how many people will be there and the empty seats there which i like.

I like going here. They always have a great selection of movies and the location cant be best. Im so glad they added the recliner seats here! This brought them from a 3 star to a 4 star for me. Over all a solid movie theatre and I absolutely love Regal!

This is a great theater. Comfortable seating. Easy entrance. Not huge. Easy to find your theater. Comfy and cozy. Also....importantly..the sound wasnt so loud we needed earplugs.

Great theater with reclining seats. No issue in booking tickets. Sound quality and screen size is good enough. Location is also perfect both for parking and catching a bus. Food is expensive but worth it. Always my choice with Gainesville. Im one of the regulars!

Cheap tickets! It could be cleaner...the theater is older than dirt. However, they are good about playing new movies and changing up frequently. The tickets are so cheap we can afford to take in a movie once a week without hurting the budget. Grateful for affordable entertainment in 2018. The staff is super friendly, and it feels like home... Loyal customers here!

I really like going to this theater. It is small and really weird. There are 2 other theaters newer and more up to date. But this theater gives you comfort, plus I love the reclining seats. If you like flashy theaters fine go to the other 2, but if you like something that reminds you of just hanging out in your own room, this theater is just the one for you.

Love that there are recliner seats now and love the Cheetos popcorn! Yummy! The sound quality in the theater is not the best. Seems like the sound was only coming from the front of the theater and not surround sound. That would have made me given him 5 stars

Fantastic! Super fast service, me and my husband went through the wrong door, but a employee still helped us find out which theater we needed. The seat are numbered so nobody was sitting in the seats we picked. Also RECLINER SEATS!!!! it wasnt very crowded and Venom ( the movie we saw) was great. All in all it was a great place for a date night with the hubby!!

There shouldn’t be reserved seating except on busy traffic days during blockbusters. Both times I went on purpose to avoid big crowds, the ticket booth chart showed only a handful of “available” seats — but once the movie started only 1/2 or 1/3 of the seats were filled. So you’re stuck with a lousy seat because you went during a slow period you knew wouldn’t be crowded, and get punished for it. AVOID UNLESS YOU MUST GO DURING BUSY TIMES AND MAKE RESERVATIONS (you only enjoy big noisy audiences).

Of the three theaters in town this one has the biggest recliners. Staff are always friendly and they offer matinee, student, and discounts through regal unlimited.

Friendly and helpful staff....for sure different then it used be years ago. Used to avoid now its my go theater. Also, not as crowded as celebration pointe or royal park

One of the best theatres I have ever been to. It is a little pricey for tickets and snacks. But other than that its very clean. The toilets are also very clean which is amazing. The people who work there are very nice. The seats are comfortable and you can recline in them. I almost fell asleep in the middle of incredibles 2 I felt so cozy! Its worth a visit just make sure you can afford it.

Wish could rate zero stars. Ordered 2 drinks and a large popcorn, $30 dollars worth of concessions. After ordering my beer, was told it was unavailable. Thats alright, mistakes happen and there were other beers. Found out in the theatre that the large popcorn was stale and unseasoned. Got a replacement popcorn that was fresh, but still unseasoned. Through out the movie, a group was constantly on their phones and shining a flash light. When brought it up to the manager, they said to just leave the movie(that was paid for) to bring it up. Absolutely no reimbursement was offered. Thanks butler plaza for taking our money and not giving what we paid for!

Aside from the usual friendly helpful service and nice atmosphere, they seem to have upgraded the seating recently to the recliner type. They dont have the little swing out tables though. Still a good improvement. Very comfortable.

Really nice theatre, very modern feel inside. All seats are padded and reclining, with plenty of space. Full row of handicapped and companion seats.Theatres dont use stadium seating, so some seats are worse than others, but they are also not really but enough that you notice.The building was a bit hard to find, its behind the shopping center if you come in off the main road and the signage is a bit lacking, but theres a ton of construction going on (fall 2018) so theres probably not much they can do about it.

I always love coming to the movies here. Now that Celebration Pointe has opened, it much easier to get recliner seats where you want, when you want here than at CP. Its clean, comfy and the staff are super nice!

New seats are awesome! I love that you can reserve your seat online when you buy your tickets. My only complaint is parking. If you show up on a Saturday night you will have to park pretty far away from the building and walk. Other than parking i think the theater is great, clean and has friendly staff!

It would have been a 5, but about 15 minutes into Endgame, a group of about 6 kids ages 12-16 were brought in by an employee and sat down front. As soon as the employee left the kids got loud and kept standing up. The employee came back about every 15 minutes to check on them which was also disruptive. I can only assume these kids were family of some kind and it was very disruptive to the paying customers. Another customer got up and went to complain, and shortly after the kids got up and left. We spent over $100 between tickets and concession, but since it was part of us celebrating mothers day, we were not going to let this get us in a bad mood, so we just tried to ignore it.

Love the new seats but the sound system needs to be updated. Walked right in, no one asked for ticket (paid online).

After purchasing my tickets through Fandango there was no line to scan the tickets. We were in auditorium 4 and the seats were super comfortable, you could watch the movie almost in a horizontal position. We had a great time.

Older theater but upgraded with reclining seats. Tends to seem busier than celebration point, probably because closer to college living areas. Even when busy, tend to only have 2 or 3 lines open at concessions, so plan on being there early as lines get long.

The chairs are amazing, the only problem is when your movie has a quite scene you can here other movies playing in the background.

Great air conditioning and the sounds are great on decent sized screens. This old theater has some real 80s charm and plenty of screens. You can buy advanced tickets either online or your phone, and they have the capacity to scan the ticket on your phone so thats great. The staff are great too.This theater is probably going to be torn down soon with all the work in Butler Plaza so a visit soon would be important before its replaced by the latest and greatest Gainesville has to offer. =)

When I visited it was a pretty janky theater but honestly for me. It’s not about how the theater looks especially if I’m not paying a hefty price. It’s about the staff and experience and honestly I had a great time every time I visited.

Revamped theater is clean, the employees are professional & friendly, the screens & sound are beautiful, & the recliners are great. Its totally worth a few more dollars to have more room between you & a stranger. It was weird and annoying at first, but I also appreciate the assigned seating & being able to reserve the seat I want. Many changes for the better.

My wife and myself have been to this theatre many times before the refurbish...... we recently watched the “Solo” movie after the refurbishing and could not of asked for a better experience, the staff was great and the new seats were comfortable and roomy...... we will use this theatre for as long as it is in operation.... and to boot, we live in lake city and are more than happy to make the drive over.

This is theater is still one of the better theaters in town. Due to how quickly you can go from the concessions to your seat with little time. This theater is still my first choice despite there being a new Theater in town.

The sound quality was perfect, the chairs were so comfortable, and the overall experience made me feel at home. Made me feel like I was in the movie. The service was amazing, and friendly. I would definitely go again.

The Best place to see a Movie

The remodeled Regal 14 is awesome. The seats are super comfortable and spacious - they can fully recline. Assigned seating is nice because you always know what your getting and dont have to show up super early to get good seats if you pre-book online (especially for new releases). Also nice to be able to have a beer or wine here.

The movie screens are big. The ice in my soda kept it cold. I enjoy sitting rather than standing. They have nice comfortable seats. Now you try.
