Reasonable price, get the super unlimited pass, a lot of fun on go cart! Bring 2 quarter for bag storage, skating is fun too:)Front desk is a very cute girl, the other guy is also very nice, helped us play climbing, jumping and go carts!You can upgrade from unlimited to super unlimited too for 5 dollars, which I think is worth it, better than paying 7 dollars for only 1 round of go carts.Would come back again later, we had to leave early today for some deadlines

A 5.00 fee each to watch our grandchildren skate? And the jump trampoline is the lamest we have ever been to. ONLY positive was the nice rink. Overall, a poor experience.

Really nice place! They had markers and signs up for social distancing and reminders to wear a mask. A lot of fun things to do and hand sanitizer was placed in strategic places. Not a bad way to spend a few hours for safe entertainment. I removed one star for the mini golf, it was poorly lit and had still water in many places, I was covered in mosquitoes and that took away from enjoying the activity. Would definitely come back to try skating next time!

My family and I went here to have a day of fun for the kids. We purchased the large package that let us do just about anything for the entire day. There was a coupon on their FB page for about $15 per person or so. Not a bad deal compared to the regular prices. Due to weather concerns in the afternoon, we did the go-carts first. Afterwards we did the skating rink, video games and then the mini-golf. The go carts were the highlight of the day. The people working this station were professional, they did a good job handling issues and everything was great. The skating rink was not very fun, the DJ did just about nothing to hype it up so that was pretty boring. The rock wall was not available because nobody was working it. The mini golf area was horrible! Debris all over the place, mosquitos all over and it looked like the place had been deserted almost a year ago with no love at all! This place could be cool with a bit of drive and care from the staff but it seemed like they were busy talking to each other rather than serving the guests.

Great place to skate if you have your own skates, otherwise, you will have to use the skates that have been at the establishment for years, which are completely worn down and in horrible shape. I put on a pair of roller skates and the wheels and trucks were so loose it felt very dangerous to skate even moderately fast. I then tried a pair of in-lines, which cost $4 extra, just for the inner lining to be so worn out that the hard plastic shell was digging into my feet.

Had a great time once in but the wait line to get in took a very long time.

This is by far the best place in Gainesville. If you are looking for something fun to do or looking for a birthday party venue, I would highly recommend this place. Skate Station is more than a skating rink. Between go karts, mini golf, rock climbing, jumpworks and the arcade, it’s a fun place for all ages. My little brother had his birthday party in the glow room and he absolutely LOVED it! The whole family had a blast.

Fantastic Birthday Party Place! We had a Glow Party for our 7 year old son. It was amazing! All the employees were SO nice including our party host AND the girl working the concessions and the guy at the ticket window. Everything went so smooth and I thought it was a fantastic value for the money for the party. Everyone had a great time including the parents. The glow room is in a separate room out back. They had blinking cups and everything. And cool music! It was a wonderful, wonderful party. Thank you Skate Station!

Great, quick experience buying new wheels for my skates. They went above and beyond in changing the wheels and cleaning the bearings after I bought them.

Went here with my mom to get away on a mini vacation and thought we would have fun. Well NOPE. It turned into the most horrible experience. The manager is rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We left after 5 minutes

The staff were very inviting and courteous. This a great place to take a family for a nice casual but fun outing.

I’ve been going to skate station literally since I was 8 or 9 years old and I’ve always completely loved the place. However going back this weekend to find out you now have to pay 4 dollars extra for the same exact inline skates they gave away for free when I went there as a kid. They’re uncomfortable, they don’t tighten properly, the wheels stick which is no fun to skate on and the padding might as well not be in it. If you’re going to charge for the skate I one hundred percent understand that but why are people being charged to use skates that are more than 10 years old and are no good.

Make sure you fill out a waiver form prior to arrival. We had a delay due to technical issues but the manager was very helpful and apologetic.

Absolutely horrible . My son and I drove e 4 hours to visit Gainesville as we have never been. We have been cooped up in our home since March 18 when the Covid started as many have been. So we just needed a good fun mini weekend vacation. I found this place online and now I wish I never did. The you d lady at the entrance door was awesome. I paid for the two of us to skate and go on the go karts after. We went in and secured our belongings in a locker and it took my money so I moved it again and yepppp. It took my money again and wouldn’t lock. So my son went to the counter and got a young man(employee) to assist which he did, he was nice also.My son and I started skating, it tools us a couple laps to get use to the plastic floor but we were starting to have a good time. THEN an employee skating up to ma and said, “ Hey sorry but you can’t wear a hat in here. I said, What?? Why?? Mind you there were 8 people in the place. He says, “Well it could fly off?”Well not for nothing but I have been in a hat ALL day and I had no hair ties with me and certainly they do not sell them. So I was not allowed to skate so basically I was thrown out. So I was very mad because I was minding my own business and not bothering anyone.So I go to the front door and ask for only my skating money back because we have been skating only 5 minutes which I dealt with three employees and no one said a word about my hat. She called the manager over and that’s WHEN it got beyond horrible. The guy says, “I’m the manager and I am not refunding any money!” I said we have only been here 5 minutes and I’m told I’m not allowed to skate with a hat. I asked for the owners name so I could file a complaint and he told me that he was not going to give me any names.As we were leaving my son point to the skating floor where a large male was skating on the floor and wearing a do rag wrapped around his head. NO ONE approaches him and told him to remove it. THey must have. Even to damn scared. Last time I checked a do rag co era you head just like a hat. The manager was extremely rude and nasty. He should not be in any customer service job!!!!DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE WITH THE INTENT IN HAVING FUN!!!! Cost me 30.00 for 5 minutes of hell!!!!I would never recommend this place to anyone ever!!!

Kids love this skate station. Fun place to take the family and burn some energy.. Lots to do here so they will have hours of fun.

If your a local, your lucky to have a fun facility like Skate Station Funworks. We are passing through FLORIDA and stopped here for family fun and that’s exactly what we got. This place is a blast. We made some great family memories here. We also made some friends, hats off to Hannah and Joe for their amazing customer service. You all made us feel at home and helped us throughout the night making our experience reach a very high level. Thank you and wish you all a great 2019. You rock !!!!!!

Nice facilities, but disappointed by the employees. On crowded spirit nights with multiple school present, there is not a single employee trying to ensure the kids are all skating. The right way or helping out the fallen. Its anarchy with kids in every direction and some just laying in the middle of high traffic areas.

All my grandchildren loved it. As long as they are happy, Im happy. The whole place was clean, including the restrooms. The staff was very helpful getting the skates figured out with my grandkids.

The go kart guy was great very patient with my son.. thanks... the kids had a blast so did I ! The only thing that would have been better is not having to find someone for 5 minutes to ride what you and everyone else paid for

Husband & I had a blast. My legs are hurting, but we had a great time ! Skate Station is a great place for families and smaller kids. Everyone really, but theres alot for the kids to do bungie jumping, go carts, rock wall, video games, skating, and a jungle gym . !!

Fun works has skating, mini golf, batting cage and go karts. Karts are always the most fun. Even the little kids at 46 tall get to ride their own kart. Food may be a bit expensive, but overall a great place to let kids run around!

Me and the husband came here yesterday for the 1st time from saint Petersburg we had a good time playing swamp golf also skating my concern is that it smells like mildew in the back right corner were people set down at they played some good music your staff here is very friendly and nice we will be back again in the future for another visit

It was nice. Lots of room and different things to do. Price was reasonable, con session a little expensive. Staff were friendly one in particular has lots of knowledge of stuff. There is a pro shop where you can buy your own skates or inlines, games, and rock climbing.

Great place to take kids on a rainy day. We only did the golf which was not great - it really needs updating as the carpets are worn and torn and some of the holes have collapsed. We still had fun and there was lots of other things we could do of we had time - hence the 4! Please update the golf area!!

Alot of fun for a reasonable price.Unfortunately, nothing explained until we were paying,that some attractions get rented for the day. Was a major disappointment that the bounce attraction would be off limits for my 4yr old Grandson.

Big skating floor but its not the best kind of floor to skate on... They have other things like putt-putt golf, batting cages, rock climbing and go-carts.

If you are going there as individuals to take advantage of all the activities, perfect. However, if you are in a position to have a birthday party with 6/7/8 year olds and you are thinking about hosting it there, think again.Unless you have your foot on their neck, you are not going to get the employees to run it properly, based on our one time birthday experience.For the money spent on a joint birthday party, $400+, you would think they would have someone take care of the party, specifically. Maybe we caught them on the wrong birthday party Saturday, how is that possible, but there was much left to be desired.What they sell with enthusiasm does not carry over into the execution.Truth be told, we hid our irritation from the kids, being part of the birthday party and all, and they still had a good time. So while it was not ruined for the kids, based on the price, the parents spent more time staying on the staff as opposed to getting to know new parents and participating more with the kids.Our advice, if you are going to have a party there:1. Go there and get a personal rundown of what is going to happen where and at what times2. Get the name of the person that is going to be coordinating the party on their end as well as the manager who will be on duty. Call the manager an hour before to make sure it is all set up.3. If a combo party, make sure the parents of the birthday kids all have the same info.4. If you are roller skating, negotiate in advance NOT to pay for individual ‘roller skate” assistance ‘carts’. They are really great for kids that do not have their balance on skates yet. They will still try to get you for $4+ per skater. If you have 10 kids, have them roll in 7 without upping the price.

Brought my son for his birthday to skating with his friends got there at 8:20pm and told the lady that we were going to skate and cut him a cake. She went ahead to charge me to bring in the cake and charged me a full hour to skate. 20 minutes later I hear them say over the microphone that they are closing at 9pm!!! Then I ask if they can sell me a pitcher of soda and they said no cause we are closing! At least she could of sold me a pitcher I had my own cups! If the employee new that they close at 9pm why didn’t she tell me hey are you aware that we close at 9pm but then instead went ahead and charged me a full hour and didn’t say anything. They ruined my sons birthday celebration

This place has fallen apart over the last 10 years. The only thing the place is good for anymore is to provide a handful of high schoolers / college students minimum wage jobs.They nickel and dime for everything. My 8yr old and 5 year old invited a friend to come skating for a very small birthday celebration. 4 cupcakes were purchased at Publix and we were told it would be $25 dollars for them to eat them inside...... have had good experiences here in the past but this will be our last time coming here and I’ll go out of my way to make sure others don’t bother either. There are much better things to be doing with the land this building sits on.

It should get 3.5 stars. The reason is it is a money vacuum and feels dirty and germ covered but the kids are happy and dont stop smiling.

Loved it! I paid $15 to go on go karts as much is I want, skate as much as I want, and go putt putting for 2 hours straight. The worker at the front desk also rounded up and gave us 29 more minutes! Overall had an amazing experience. By the way, if youre an avid skater, the skate floor is the plastic tiles, just a forewarning. It was still nice and only slid out from underneath me once haha

Fun music and good vibes

Staff was not very friendly. They acted like they didnt want to there. We drove 4 hrs from our home to visit this place and it was a total disappointment. The rink floors is terrible. Not good at all for skating. The wheels stick to the floor making constant friction. When skating you cant glide because floor is sticky like. So the minute you stop pushing you stop dead. The arcade was a joke. Didnt like the system they had. All in all. We will never go back. And its not a recommended place to go. Its ashame too because we so need more places like this. Sad. Very sad.

Threw a party for my 10 year old. Found it to be a great value; the staff was comprised of fantastic young men and women. Kristen (the manager) really stood out. She has a great attitude and her team followed her lead with pleasant interactions. My daughter had a lovely time and we will likely have other parties here. Excellent value and really fun. The party room is private, comfortable for adults and spacious.

Visited Fun works as i heard of the batting cage, sadly customer service is not service oriented rather inexperienced young teens who do not provide full customer support to them they come first. Most of them are busy with their phones then providing services. I had to call them 3 times to notice I required a bat and helmet then handed me token which were not working they promised for the price of $10 60 pitches alas only 20 pitches after 15-20 min of getting their attention to fix the actual machines, I would not recommend using the batting cage, it needs to b fixed and very poor service must be improved to treat customers at the forefront and provide exceptional service.

Very nice skating rink. Wouldve given 5 stars, but the music is SO loud its insane! You can not hear the person next to you. Even the children complain about it.Other than that, its excellent.

My girls birth love this place. The staff was extremely helpful teaching them to skate and we still go back regularly for skating and rock climbing.

I went there for the first time on Friday. I am giving 5 stars because of the great staff. The DJ played my request along with other great disco songs. He played Michael Jackson, George Benson, etc. The girl at the front desk was caring and helpful. She gave my thirsty daughter some water and she offered to help me when I had car trouble. You dont come across people this great every day. So I dont understand the negative reviews some have given here. I will be skating here again Lord willing and I may even try out some of the other entertaining activities too. The building was clean and well kept. My only real complaint is the lighting. The owner needs to cut off those aweful fluorescent lights and replace them with some warm, inviting incandescent spots for a more romantic atmosphere.

We drive here from Dunnellon every weekend. Its only ten minutes further than any other skating rink but bigger, cleaner and has more seating than any of the others so its well worth the drive. The one thing that I cant stand is the music is so excessively loud for no real reason. Its a skating rink not a night club, on a Sunday afternoon theres no reason for it....maybe at night....but gah I leave with a terrible headache nearly every time I go. Its not the music, just the volume. They play a good variety of current and older tunes, genres and always has a good skating beat.

Went there with a date fun place, had a lot.of children but it is a childs place. It didnt stop us from having a good time. The music was alright normally I want to try the other amenities and fun things but I have only dont the skating. It looked like they had rooms for birthdays by the skating area which is a plus

My twins birthdays were such a success due to the most observant go cart attendant. My kids are tall but young he let my nervous daughter drive her self on the track totally by herself. Which stressed her out. He pulled her off the track and my oldest drove for her in the faster car.Perfect perfect people skills I hope they keep that gentleman very well employed

Skate station is fine. Staff is fair. Miniature golf course is pretty pathetic. Just a bunch of torn faux grass. Nothing to make it a magical experience for kids and families. Very disappointing.

Used to be great. But now less people go and prices have gone up. Now you pay for entrance and for skating even if you bring your own skates. I would love to take my kids more often but pricing is just too high now. The days of going every Saturday are over.

Threw a birthday party here for my sons we loved it . Very nice friendly helpful and accomidating. Going back for my daughters party in September. I would recommend this highly.

Nice place for all family

There was a shooting here last night while my son was attending the end of the school year bash with his other middle school friends. Kids from another school came to fight and then started shooting. All happened outside. Worst night of my life to get a phone call saying they cant get my son out of the building with out parent present. The place was on lock down and the news only says an incident happened but never went into detail.

Daughter had a blast with her cousin.brought back memories of being a teenager back north and going to the local skating spot on the weekend. Funny thing was the DJ was actually playing music from era(80s)...lol

They run a $3.50 special for an attraction but in actuality it is just half price for half the time of the ride. Also after the first ride they double the price. None of this is explained during purchase. I shouldnt feel like Im being taken advantage of when trying to have a good time out.

A very fun place with a radiant and music-filled roller-skating rink, and arcade, bungee trampolines, and an awesome go-cart track. The place is a bit trashy but theres nowhere else in Gainesville like it.

The place was clean and well run. I wish there were more people there, but the experience with me and my friends was great amd Id go back if we decide to.

I had an amazing time here. I wore my hat here because of a bad hair day skated with it on for 4 hours and then someone tells me I cant wear a hat when there was atleast 6 other patrons wearing one!
