Beautiful community park. Theres a great play area for young kids, a gaga-ball court, tennis courts and trails that run down to the creek for exploring. Be careful during high flood times in the spring as the creek is fast moving and the banks can be slippery. There is a newly added kayak launch, a community garden (yes, plots can be rented) a large shelter house and plenty of parking.
Really fun place for young children. Activities and learning experience ces. Can rent shelter houses. A storytime trail too@
I love this little park. Its cute, clean, has a community garden,a path to walk, nice picnic tables in the shade and I believe I even seen stations to charge a car.
It is a nice little park with a beautiful trail that leads to a scenic view of Rocky Fork as it flows into Big Walnut Creek. I love to walk my there. He enjoys getting into a shallow stream of water to cool down on a hot summer day! A big plus is a neighbourhood around the park. It is a historic site with lots of charming and quiant houses.
Clean park with plenty of trails, areas for creeking and a decent playground for the little ones. Nothing spectacular or crazy, but definitely enough to do and see to warrant a trip.
Gazebo, shelter, bathrooms: all clean. Public garden, great playground for all ages and a story/sensory walk to the creek. Whats not to love?
Sometimes, the bridge is out. The river strikes it. Its like a constant battle against nature. The place is a reminder of Mans Hubris. This park has NOTHING to do with friendship. LET THAT BE KNOWN. There are ducks that will harass your children here if you leave them unattended. Also, this park is home to the most useless paddle-boat ride. But! Free parking near by makes this park very convenient.
When I was a child, my grandma used to take my brothers and me here to run around and walk through the little trails, so Ive been visiting this place for decades! The park is a great place for children to play on the playground and to meander around without getting lost in the wooded areas. There are public restrooms here (both male and female and one unisex restroom attached to the shelter), a full basketball court, tennis court, grills, and a vegetable/herb garden area. The park is also located by the Gahanna Historical Homes (which are super cute!).
I am so glad that friendship park is open again! Since this whole pandemic my kids have been so bored! So when I heard that friendship park was open again I for sure made the 30 minute drive! Just because we dont live in Gahanna no moreDoes not mean we do not miss so thanks to everybody that takes care of friendship park and make sure its safe me and my 3 boys appreciated!..
Very clean and well kept grounds. Good parking and easily accessible.
Really wasnt nothing to do. My son would have loved the park but it was just my husband and I looking for a place to sit and eat lunch and go for a walk. There was 2 choices to sit and eat but we couldnt find any paths to walk on.
Nice being able to picnic at a table then go for a small walk on a trail. Currently the playground is unavailable.
In all the years I have lived here, and the countless rimes my family and I have been to these waters, weve never ran across a beaver. It was a special moment for our family. Thos fella came out of the water and walked right up to our son and just looked at him for a long while before ambling on to eat. Were grateful for the experience.
Pretty little off of the beaten path park. Will be great to take kids in a year or so after the. Rona.
Amazing and my kid loves it always making friends and always has someone to play with...love this park!
Nice amenities, good place to be near nature, nice set of play equipment
Great park free wifi
Really nice place, has playground area, tennis court, picnic area and grassy walking paths
Great for kids of all ages. We love to walk down to the creek and play on the rocks. My grandson loves the playground and our fur babies are welcome here too!
One of the best spots to launch a kayak on the river
Such a beautiful park, very clean and well kept!!
Small, quiet intown park with shelters, kiddie play area and a couple walking trails. Pickup lunch at Wendys and sit quietly at friendship park and eat and surf YouTube.
Love this park! Its cute and quaint and the families are always friendly to one another with just a nice, supportive atmosphere.
Nice park for families and kids. It’s next to a creek that you can go kayaking in or you can walk a trail through the woods which will take you to a kind of beach area of the creek.
SO MUCH FUN! great walking paths with storys for kids, you can explore the outdoor walking paths in the woods, veary nice place
This is another one of my favorite parks in Columbus. When I go, I feel like I’ve stepped out of the city and into the breathtaking country. The trails are just absolutely perfect for a relaxing walk!!!!
Family friendly park with plenty of parking, water fountain and bathrooms (in warmer weather). Trails along the creek, basketball and tennis courts.
Favorite park in Gahanna for a toddler sized play area. The community Garden is lovely and the trail following the water is amazing!
Such a cool, cool park. Be sure and check out the story on the path. Good wading area at the end. We had a blast skipping rocks.
Very nice park. The storybook trail is really neat. Good to take little kids, especially ones starting to learn to read.
For some reason I am being asked to post again on my visit to the park. The play area is fantastic with shade enclosed slides and a rocking climbing wall. There are basketball and tennis courts, a community garden and trails for lite hiking. I was on a field trip but will return soon to explore more.
Really nice park. Plenty of places for kids to play and some trails to walk. Really nice shelter house
Small park but that is part of what made it so great. We went there to enjoy some live music and the gazebo where it was set up was right next to the play ground which was wonderful the kids could play and we could enjoy the music.
While named after friendship, I made no friends here and received eternal hatred.
Needs more lights for evening play times.
Secluded so easy for the kids to run and play. However, a couple more shaded picnic tables would be great. Overall great place to have a playdate.
Good fishing. Good swimming. My dogs favorite place in the world lol.
First time there. The park is lovely. Will maintained. Lots of things to do for kids as will as adults.
I love this park. I grew up in Gahanna and we played in the creek. It so nice to take my Grandchildren to the park. They love it there. They also love Creekside. I am so proud that Gahanna is such a Best All Round Little City in our Metro.
Its a park and playground for kids
My family had a great time using our imaginations here.
It is very nice, clean, and fun for our event. Recommend
Awesome park! Definitely coming back! Great people, well groomed and extremely clean! And the nature walk was amazing!!
Great little park in the middle of town with lots to do. Go check it out you wont be disappointed.
Great playground for kids, nice walking trails, and easy access to the water.
Has restrooms, drinking fountains, and picnic areas. The playground is well maintained. Also the park is near hiking trails and a creek
Beautiful park! My kids loved the playground. Theres bathrooms, a water fountain, and a covered pavilion. The park also has WiFi!!
Great park, but I do wish the benches were placed in the shade. The walk to the creek is well maintained, but beware of poison ivy just off the path. The little story boards along the path are pretty awesome. The playground seems well maintained, entertaining and a good size.
It was beautiful with a creek playground and grills. Its was amazing
I love this playground and its my favorite place to in the summer. They have two sections of slides, one for big kids and one for the little ones. Its clean and well maintained. It has tons of space for children to run around as well as tables and seats for piknicks. It also have a pavilion and Ive seen all sorts of celebration from Gospel concerts to Birthday parties. It also have another glbigger pavilion next to the basketball field with restrooms and fountain water. If you keep walking the trail you will find a beautiful creek. My children take off their shoes and just splash water on a hot summer day! Cant wait to go again this summer.
Good place for kids. Go in summer.
Nice little park with a good amount of space and things to do. Basketball courts are decent, playground is nice, and it has some walking paths with some educational signs. Its within walking distance of creekside where you can continue the fun or grab a bite to eat.
I love walking around here and enjoy the scenery
A very nice park in the middle of Gahanna. Well hidden of the main street, just follow the signs. The website does list creek access for canoes and kayaks, but once there I could find no easy acces even though it is right beside the creek.
Very nice. Sorry no pictures.
Great park to take your kids
Wish the city maintained this park a little better. Needs a little more updating
5 star rating wonderful place to gather I rent the main area every year and I am never disappointed. Safe secure and great place for family and kids of all ages.. if you are looking to rent either space do it a year in advance they book quick.
Clean and enjoyable place with the kids
Clean park with pavilions, and small playground.
An excellent mix of a community park with a playground for children and trails that follow Big Walnut Creek to the confluence of Rocky Fork Creek. It makes for some great scenery and the trails are not crowded. Its a great place to go right in downtown Gahanna to go for a quiet place that is very family friendly.
I have loved this park since I was little! Look out for the hidden staircase along the river
Friendship park is one of the best parks in Gahanna, alongside Woodside green. Nice playground, great shelter facility and lots of paths and picnic tables
Has a huge playground that keep my kids entertained for over an hour.Pies in the Park a top notch event. Thanks
One of the best park for children in Ohio
Love this little gem of a park!!! Great play area for the kids.
Always a beautiful park.
A bit cold day pets loved. More benches closer to walkway from parking lot
Nice play are with a very short trail along the river. Has storm shelter with a bathroom.
Great fun park
Awesome little hidden gem. Take your kids and follow the educational signs. Just don’t leave without sitting in the pencil throne.
Big park, and lots of activities for the family to do
Kids had a ball. Great park.
Nice storybook path and newer playsets. Clean.
This place is nice the play ground is fun for most school age children and it has a walking path that has story you read on the way
Friendship Park almost feels like a hidden gem in Gahanna. Theres only one street leading to it, but it has one of the best playgrounds in town. The story walk leads to a nice river access where kids can usually wade if they want. We have seen poison ivy along the back trails, so be careful, but overall, it provides a great place for kids of all ages to run around and enjoy the outdoors.
Nice walking around place
Great playground
Great park
Tranquil little park to take the kids or go for a stroll, trails can be muddy as they arent paved, but there are grills and a stellar shelter so picnics are a go, and theres a nice field to throw a frisbee around or kick a ball, and theres a basketball court and a tennis court if youre into that.
Our boys enjoy being there..
The park has two playground areas for children of all ages. They also have community garden plots for rent at a good price where you can grow your own produce. There are walking trails but they arent long or difficult. Its a great place for kids.
