The trail is accessible from the YMCA parking lot or from behind the Freeport Cafe, which makes parking easy. Most people do not seem know about the trail so its a very private place to walk. The trail is fairly well maintained, but some areas are muddy or you have to walk on small boards or rocks. The view of Cousins River at the end of the trail is very pretty. Perfect place to walk on a hot day.
