One of the few truly relaxing, natural spots one can visit in the area. Great place to sit and watch birds, water, and fish.

Dude at the front desk was wrong about shooting time.. Had a flock of 5 teal come into our spread a few mins before shooting light. Looked up sunrise in Freeport, and sure enough he was off by a few minutes. Could have had some teal

Very nice facilities. Staff is as good as it gets. My son and I went to a youth hunt and he brought home his first deer. Its a great place and I will come back.Please read about Warden Justin Hurst, the namesake of this WMA.

I been hunting there since I was 5 shot plenty of good birds this year has been really slow the birds are really not there but has plenty of cover and food the second split should have more birds they always do

Never hunted there but Ive heard a lot of great stories about great hunts and limiting out on bird hunts

Good Fishing spot-didnt catch but oh wellHas dunes that can break most of the wind-we went on the eve of a big storm and the wind was coming in from the sea.Plenty of drift wood-controlled campfire material.

Helpful staff but tons of mosquitoes.
