Easy short hike to the top. Limestone and pink granite that my 11 year old Bichon managed no problem. Three benches at the top. Seemed pretty popular on a Saturday afternoon. Public restrooms.

Beautiful view. Great spot for some outdoor exercise.

Hike is nice and easy. View is so worth it. Remember that there are shortcuts up and down the mountain. We climbed the mountain when it was about to rain so running down the mountain through the shortcuts were very convenient! Just be careful. Always watch your feet for sliding rocks!

This is a rustic little spot just barely East of Fredericksburg on the road to Enchanted Rock. It has a few short trails that one can hike. One that encircled the property is 10 minutes around and flat. Another climbed the summit (just 100 feet or so) somewhat steeply and a third is quite steep. The views are nice and of course a cross on top reminding us of Christs incredible sacrifice so many years ago so we may have eternal salvation. This park is definetly worth 30 minutes to stop and check out when around Fredericksburg...

Great family getaway! Not too far from home, and our little family enjoyed getting out during this Covid mess to spend some time with each other!

I drove from SA over to Fredericksburg and stopped at this place, totally worth the time. Its a short hike with a beautiful overlook and a cross that has a lot of rich history attached to it. This is definitely something you should check out if youre in the area. Highly recommend

The park was very cool if you like historic sites with religious significance. A nice after dinner walk and sunset spot.

Nice little park that they are working hard to put in a nature trail, butterfly garden and picnic area. A short hike up to the cross to get the blood pumping with beautiful views of the hill country.

Was a nice little hike, and had a great view of Fredericksburg.

It’s a really cool little outdoor adventure you can do in Fredericksburg and it’s free! Hiking all the way around the mountain to the top over looking the town is such a cool and unique experience. The view is breathtaking when you reach the top.

Nice park tucked away in the shadows of downtown Fredericksburg. There are no parking spaces, so you just park off to the side of the road. The hike up the hill is very easy, kid and dog friendly. The view of the city is awesome. There is also a few picnic tables, a garden and a little nature trail. Peaceful and relaxing.

Great view from the top, not wheelchair accessible. Also haunted,but I dont think youre supposed to be up there at night anyway.

I love the cross that sits on top of the mountain and the view of the surrounding area. You can see for miles its so cool. Its also very peaceful to sit and enjoy lunch or sing or reminisce about memories

A short walk to a great view of the city. We met a guy who lives nearby and walks up there everyday. He had some suggestions of other interesting sites to see. Learned some history on a historical marker and that the very Rev is a title. Who knew.

My daughter made me climb this hill. Bring a bottled water you most likely will be out of breath when you reach the top. Well worth it.

This place has a very nice Overlook and the hike to the top is very short and easy.

Its a quite place with a nature trail,monarch garden with native plants, and a trail to the top of this historic place where a wooden cross was found prior to the placement of the one that sits there today.
