Gorgeous renovation years ago still looks awesome
Fabulous Venue! Attended Ray Wylie Hubbard Concert April 13, 2018! We had an awesome time! The sound system is great in this theater setting, this was a Sold Out show, but very comfortable! Just a few miles outside of Nashville, but such a special place! Very personable ushers! Helpful staff, good selection of beer and other beverages! Bistro, theater and balcony seating! Great experience! I recommend that everyone catch a concert here!
Lovely old theater still showing movies as well as live music and other attractions. Mostly attended by locals since it seems like everything they do is sold out well in advance. If you live in the area, its a great experience to get plugged into, and one of the things that adds to the Franklin experience.
Best little theater this side of the Mississippi. Great spot for anyone. Check their website and sign up for their emails. Youll be ahead of everyone else and get tickets faster.
First time to visit the theatre and I will definitely be coming back! Easy to get to, great seating no matter where you sit. Very beautiful and tastefully decorated. Hidden gem in Franklin.
The Franklin Theatre has become so much more to the community than just a Main Street movie theater. It’s now a symbolic iconic landmark for all to see as they make their way up and down Historic Main Street in Franklin Tennessee. Locals and tourists alike will fill the seats during any performance. Beyond movies, stage plays and live performances — the historically accurate remodel will have you stepping back into time.Highly recommend seeing a holiday film during the month of December — the perfect venue for escaping into A Miracle/White Christmas/Wonderful Life!
Just cant say enough good things about this place we love to go all through it there year as a family and always have a wonderful experience. Good snacks drinks and a clean facility
Nostalgic, cozy, old fashioned and charming theatre from the good old times. Went there for a classical concert. It was wonderful.
It is a wonderful venue to see some of your favorite artists and bands in a much more cozy and personal setting. Truly enjoyable.
I love the intimacy and acoustics of this great venue. Parking is free +nearby. Good performances sell out early. Helpful ticket office too. I strongly prefer the cabaret seating.
Absolutely love this place! I have never had a bad experience at this venue. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I love the vintage movies and intimate concerts.
Seats were pretty comfortable. Show was great. Looking forward to more shows.
Renovated historical location now hosts a variety of performers and classic films. Historic Franklin pictures featured throughout. Community project well worth the wait.
Exceptional venue for intimate concerts, movies, special events. An historical step back in architectural time, polished to perfection!
Beautiful building, has a lot of good shows and screenings (art, historical).
I went to see Ricky Scaggs. It was a solid out show. I was in the balcony but it was still really good sets.
Always a delight. Love the atmosphere of this theater. Great service. Very nice variety of food. Love that they pop their popcorn in coconut oil! Awesome!
Awesome experience! Love the old style theatre.
I remember watching, The Rocky Horror Picture Show there. It was the only thing for minors to do, after midnight. Im from Nashville. There was not anywhere that was minor friendly in Davidson Cty, at that time.
I attended the Valentines Day showing of Dirty Dancing presented by the movie gang and it was AWESOME! Great view from our seats which were in the balcony, but it was very clean and beautiful inside the facilities. There was a live dance performance, Valentines and roses handed out, as well as heart shaped balloons dropped from the balcony during the dance performance. Great job Franklin theater on partnering with so many other awesome local vendors to put on such a great event. Ill definitely be back!
The whole theatre was very nice. I had a good time there
Great music venue. Very clean. Comfortable seating. Staff very nice
Great staff and really awesome environment! Enjoyed the noir aspect of the theatre
Saw Matilda. Super fun show, suprisingly awesome concessions and beer selection
Wow! What a great experience! Theater from before my time. Really nice. They had free refills of the popcorn and cokes. They sell beer, local stuff too. I would like to get back to a live show here.
Great movie theater that the town came together to save from being removed from history. I like that they show a mixture of new movies and classics, and it doubles as a venue for live acts from music to comedy. A staple of downtown Franklin that will hopefully remain for decades to come!
This is a very nice theater. It’s older and fairly small, but the decorations and atmosphere are hard to beat and it takes you back in time. The theater staff is very helpful and friendly and it’s not too hard to find if you are visiting from out of town. We attended a concert there in December and the sound is great. Regardless of where you are seated, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. They serve concessions and drinks at a reasonable price. The theater is located in a beautiful area and there are plenty of things to see and places to visit in this historic part of Franklin.
A great small theater for community productions and events. Not only is it in the heart of a great district with shops and restaurants all around, but theres easy free parking nearby. They offer great snacks and drinks, kids and adult friendly both. Really a gem.
Nice venue. Great seats no matter where you sit!
Beautiful and acoustics are pretty good. Really nice people working there.
Great venue to attend a show, downtown Franklin has a great small town square vibe!
Beautifully redone theater in the historic downtown area.
This is one of the finest small venues anywhere. It has a beautiful interior with the finest acoustics and production. Perfect place to see your favorite artist or catch a movie.
We had a great time at the Christmas in America program!
If you visit Franklin take the time and catch a show the history of this place is wonderful. Awesome staff and a beautiful place!
It was awesome..convenient and free parking..and Matilda was the BESTever. Franklin Theatre is a true GEM in the community. We are sofortunate!!
I love this historic movie palace. The acoustics are incredible for a live performance, which feels intimate. I would highly recommend seeing a concert there, but you can also see movies, including old movies. The theatre feels like youre stepping back in time. The renovations and attention to detail are beautiful. Its centered on Main Street, which is a great spot for a historic walking tour with shops, restaurants and antiques.
Louis York and The Shindellas were PHENOMENAL!!!
Great little town. David had a great performance at the very quaint Franklin Theatre. The whole event felt like a Hallmark setting. Perfect place for a Christmas performance.
Wonderful place to see a concert!
A great venue for concerts. A historical building on main Street. Saw a couple concerts there and its an intimate venue with good seats anywhere
We went to see Gary Morris at the Franklin theater tonight. He was awesome as usual! We drove from Auburn, Alabama to see him on his 70th birthday! Happy Birthday Gary Morris! We love you!
Some pretty big stars for a small place. Great views! Loved seeing Deborah Allen! My favorite! Looking forward to seeing Exile!
Awesome place to see a movie or watch a concert.
Wonderful little theater perfect for performing arts.
Franklin Theater embodies the heart of Franklin with its history and creativity. This is a great venue for any entertainment!
Amazing place, amazing experience for my first time. A rich part of Franklin history, and I recommend it to anyone.
Good place I love it!
Always a pleasure at this great venue!
I have been going here since I was a kid. Love the variety and especially the classic Christmas favorites we come for every year. This place will always be special to my family and I.
Love the Franklin Theater! So thankful it was saved and restored and is now bringing a great variety of entertainment to downtown Franklin, from live music and singing to movies for everyone!!
I had not been there since the early 90s but I was impressed. The ticket prices were reasonable and I like that they still kept the option of chairs and tables. Sound was also great.
Fantastic Theatre. They did an amazing job taking this theatre back to its former glory. Its a really nice venue to watch a movie, play, or concert. Perfectly situated downtown. Definitely worth visiting while youre in Franklin.
The concerts are wonderful! Love the balcony seating.
Loved seeing a play here, grest movie night too.
Love love LOVED this theatre! Visited the first time for The Movie Gangs showing of the first two Harry Potter movies! Getting sorted into my house by Chad Gilbert from New Found Glory was wonderful! Had such a great night and the theatre itself was beautiful! Will be back!
I was there for Evan Farmers pilot episode unveiling and man it was awesome... parking is an issue during the day.. but 4 hour parking is available just down the road... it is a great experience... a must have !!
Great venue, friendly helpful faces, great performance from KebMo, but bring a jacket, they keep it cold.
This place was great. Amazing atmosphere and decoration.
Outstanding venue, great atmosphere for live shows and movies.
I love this theatre! When they show films its setup as a throwback to a time before stadium seating. I also love the theatre groups that perform shows. Ive seen 4 or 5, some from childrens theatre groups and some from adult groups, and its always an enjoyable experience. Also if you like beer Black Abbey has a few selections there. You must try The 44 (previously called the POTUS 44). Hawaiian and Kenyan coffee infused stout, amazing flavour!
I love that they saved the theater . Is an intimate venue for good music
Oh my WORD! Just watched “White Christmas” and it was beautiful! Just a great family film. Packed with people who cheered and sang along with the actors. Loved the layout of the theater and the way they decorate it! Even the old time photos on the wall took me back in time! Will DEFINITELY be back ASAP!!
This restored and modernized theatre remains the heart of downtown Franklin. The sound system, the talent, the seating, the architecture, the bar, the staff.. the whole environment is beautiful and true to the Franklin spirit. If you havent stopped by, please come see a show.
Nice smaller musical venue.
Beautiful design. The inside and bathroom is really pretty and clean. The theater is nice and small. However most of the movies sound comes from speakers up front near the screen so you dont really have the surround sound experience. Takes a minute to get used to, but its loud enough and wasnt a problem for us. There are no trailers before the movie starts.
Cool little venue
We go here for a lot of different kinds of events. We always feel comfortable and have a blast. Concessions are good, bathrooms are always spotless, staff is friendly, and the theater itself has been beautifully restored. Plus, the tickets are usually very reasonably priced, and like I said, they offer a wide range of events, from classic movies to live music performances. I feel like this place is a hidden gem. But I like it that way. Theres never too many people. Its just a nice, relaxed place.
Small theatre but nicely decorated and has a good selection of food and drink. Close enough to performers to feel more involved with the concert. Good parking garage near by.
Great spot. Good place for a movie or a concert.
Very nice way to experience a concrete. Will be back to see other entertainers.
Its a great place. Highly recommend it.
The Keifer Sutherland concert was fantastic!! The employees, standing in the aisle beside me, trying to talk over the music was not!! This went on the entire concert.
Very intimate venue. There for a songwriters show.
Beautiful theater. Went to see Kelly Willis sing and had an incredible time. Great show fantastic atmosphere and intimate setting.
I dont care what you go here for, it is always a great experience. The remodel is fabulous. Always great employees. Love having the option of having a glass of beer or wine during a show or movie. They also have pizza, popcorn and snacks. The seats are great and all views good.
Great place to catch a movie or concert. It has the classic movie theater feel, and it doesnt break the bank to take a family to see a movie. When the restoration was done in 2010/2011, they did a great job.
Wonderful venue. Intimate size means theres no bad seat in the house!
Very nice venue. It looks wonderful inside and out. Its like stepping back into the 50s.
Caught Mary Gautiers show. She did not disappoint. This restored old theater is a great, intimate venue. They also have snacks and craft beer.
Awesome local theater. Comfy, cozy with great actors and production. Sets and scrim backing were professional
The Franklin Theater is a wonderful venue. Enjoy a glass of wine or a beer during the show, and there are all kinds of events held there, everything from classic movies to concerts. The theater first opened in 1937 and recently re-opened after a MAJOR renovation, which was incredibly well done. Whatever you go to see there, you will enjoy it.
Very cool venue. Beer with a movie is awesome.
Ive gone to the Franklin Theater numerous times now. There is not a better atmosphere, better service in all of Nashville in my opinion. Theres something special about this place and the people that renovated and brought it back to life put their heart and soul into making it the crown of downtown Franklin.
Local, intimate theater group putting on productions of modern Broadway plays and musicals. They are very active in the community, and often work with aspiring young actors. Super fun, go have dinner at Red Pony before the show. Leave time for parking.
Such a beautiful, retro movie theater that has been completely restored to its original glory. I think it was built in 1937. We went here to watch Its a Wondeful Life (released in 1945, I think). It took us back in time. It even has a balcony.
