The memorial is nice, but the time is off about 2 hours. Would be a great place to visit for veterans and their families. Not much else to see here.

Very interesting concept. A sort of sundial with dates of lost soldiers mapped out on it. HUGE!

What a humbling place to honor our fallen military members. A very unique place to visit. The memorial also has its very own sundial, that casts its shadow to honor the fallen. The memorial is also lit up at night.

Such a humbling place to visit. Beautiful to visit at sunset and into the evening when the lights come on. The memorial really comes to life. Great place to get away from everything and focus on what really matters in life. Semper Fi.

Everyone should spend a few minutes to visit this site. A truly Amazing feat built in Honor of our fallen. Its a Sun Dial that cast its shadow on the date of the Service Mans Death. Located in Frankfort overlooking the Capital Building.

A local gem that is basically unknown! Its a giant sundial where each name of the fallen veteran is strategically placed so that the shadow of the sundial points to their name on the anniversary of their death! Its one of the largest granite memorials in the country! Just amazing!

What an awesome experience. So much thought into this memorial in all aspects. The memorial makes a sun dial to tell the time and the month of the year with a shadow over the names of fallen Kentucky Veterans. Beautiful view of the capitol from the memorial site.

Great place to visit if you are a veteran you can calm yourself and thank those who went on before you who died for an ungrateful nation in a time of sorrow. Amen and God bless.
