Beautiful place for walking, hiking or jogging. Mostly flat elevation, but the trail is often rutted and muddy depending on the season. The main trail is well groomed, with side trails that are single track. Nice views of the marsh, many birds, educational signs and benches scattered along the main trail. They offer great group programs, also. Popular, but not too busy, especially if you take the side trails.

Hiked trails 1 and 2 today starting off at the boy scout parking lot. Trail 1 is quite long mowed grass, little bit hard to walk on as it had some ruts that you cant see very well. Also the part of the trail by the highway is loud and not very scenic. Pretty wild flowers to see, as well as ducks out in the ponds. The main trail 5 was blocked off today. We have hiked that before and it is a straight, flat trail with no elevation so very easy to walk.

Nice trails. Lots of options. One downside is most of the trails say No Dogs.

This is a descent trail, good for family, not very difficult terrain, kids can go on this, surrounded by colorful flowers and beautiful river. Trails are not in tree shade so when you plan for this place get ready to be exposed in sunlight. There are 3 trails with different lengths. You can choose based on your level of comfort.

Great trails! There is water on both sides of you so kind of neat. One side is from great lakes watershed and other side is from Mississippi watershed. Didnt do entire thing due to time and some flooding on the side trails but very nice open nature trail.

I love walking the trails here. The animals are always put and about. The nature is great and its fun to watch the preserve change over time with the water receding. The trails are well maintained but make sure to be careful of ticks weve gotten a few when we go on some of the side trails. Just take normal precautions and they dont seem to be an issue.

This is the review for the management team. They are supposed to maintain the trail instead they test drove their vehicles on it. I thought some ATV folks did it but when I called the management, they confirmed its was done by them. The trail has been totally destroyed now.

This place has changed so much since we helped plant milkweed a few monarch festivals ago. its quickly returning to its natural state. The wildflowers are gorgeous. Even the green algae on the silent water is serene in the middle of a populated area. One tip. There is very little shade here. Take water. Wear a hat. Avoid super hot temps

Such an awesome nature preserve! Attended eagle marsh on earth day as a vendor with natural stone jewelry and geodes! Well received with great people in attendance. The views are wonderful and the sounds of nature are NOT lacking! Fantastic venue with great people running the show! I have also volunteered at eagle marsh to help preserve the land with my kids. Super experience! Highly recommended for perfect picturesque trails.

This is a nice place to hike - especially in the early spring or late fall. (The insect population is greatly reduced during those seasons). The hiking trails are longer than what they appear so be prepared to do some walking.I absolutely loved Eagle Marsh and how quiet it was. It was beyond beautiful and cannot wait to visit again.

Eagle Marsh Nature Preserve is a wonderful place to get your boots muddy and see something new! We are so lucky to have this 750+ acre preserve right here in Fort Wayne. Im very pleased with the trails, good good people I encounter, and the free family programs that are put on here at Eagle Marsh. This is a phenomenal place for plants and animals to thrive. Fabulous place to go for a walk. At first I worried it would be too close to the road, but as we walked deeper in the traffic noise quieted significantly. There is SO much wildlife around here. Birds of all kinds everywhere. We saw a baby fawn. Even a muskrat came hauling down the path toward us. Frogs frogs frogs everywhere you look!

Eagle Marsh catches you looking everytime you drive by. You look to see what different types of birds you can see and also check out the wood duck houses in the ponds. Eagle Marsh offers guided hikes, looking for owls eagles and different types of birds and plants that are in the marsh. There is a trail that goes through a part of the marsh that is great for walking or your daily run. This is a fun venture.

We attended the 2019 Trek the Trails Kickoff gala event. The food was supplied by Halls Catering and it was very good. We learned about all the Trail expansions and upgrades for the next couple of years. Very informative. The Eagle Marsh event building is very appropriate for this setting. Thanks.

I live near the marsh and love driving through it almost every day. I moved here a few years ago and was fascinated to discover that a continental divide runs north/south through the marsh and Fort Wayne. A year ago the divide was raised eight feet where it cuts through the marsh to make sure the invasive Japanese carp that is making its way up the Wabash River doesnt get into the Great Lakes watershed.
