I came all the way from New York to do a months work on hiking and site seeing in Arkansas this pass January & February and i thought this might make a good quick little stop after seeing the Fort Smith Site. BOY, WAS I WRONG! the is simply gorgeous. full of charm. i loved everything about it. i almost wish i lived here. but that wasnt it. i was in for another real treat. the ladies that work here are fabulous, wonderful, genuine, friendly, good people full of joy. happy to see me visiting their place. i must have been on 200 house tour over the pass 3 years and i got to be honest. these ladies are by far are my favorite. i cant say enough about them. i wish i could of stayed with them all day. i left there smiling on a rainy February day.

This former brothel is very likely the most unusual visitor centre you will ever visit. The house tour was, well, quite inspiring. I would recommend to watch the movie True Grit to get an idea of Fort Smith in the 19th century. Wear the mask. Protect Arkansas.

We had a wonderful relaxed visit. The staff was welcoming and ready to take us on the tour of the beautifully restored house or to sit and talk about the history of the owner, ladies of the night, or the history of Ft. Smith. I have toured Ft. Smith many times but this find made this trip exciting, like finding a hidden treasure! Please take the time to visit the other side of Ft. Smith, you will not be disappointed.

My family came into Miss Lauras today to take my daughter on a historical/educational visit for her first day of spring break. Jim was our tour guide and did a magnificent job. I loved how he broke things down for her in a way that someone her age could understand and was very good at keeping her visit PG! We loved the house and all of its charm!!! We will definitely be returning!!! Thank you all for a wonderful time!!! We love Miss Lauras!!!!!

Listen, my sister and I decided that we were long overdue for a visit to Miss Lauras. It was time. Friday, we drove to this beautiful house. We were greeted by the sweetest woman ever. Her name is Carol and shes a saint as well as a volunteer tour guide. You need this blessed woman as your tour guide. She was unbelievably patient and knowledgeable. She made up half of the experience. Listen to her talk lovingly about Miss Laura and her Ladies. Also, enjoy her personal stories. I highly recommend Miss Lauras as the house and the visitor center.

Immaculate, beautiful, preserved, not restored. The house was originally a brothel. Later it became a private residence, then a restaurant. The bar room makes you want to sit down and order a pint! As the docent explained, this is the ONLY brothel ever to be added to the National Register of Historic Places. The tour is absolutely free. There are 2 stories of rooms to explore. There are a few items ordered for sale, mostly books. Its worth a few minutes if youre in Fort Smith and have the time. Conveniently located near the Trolley Museum.

Miss Lauras gift shop is attached to Amarillo RV Park office. The shop is well thought out has a lot of very interesting items there is also an upper area so dont forget to go upstairs. Well Im not one to shop they did have a very nice CD display of western music. The setup that for the CDs allowed you to play some of each of the CDs I purchased two.

Well, Google keeps askin me if I would share my experience with Miss Lauras. I have never been there but my work takes me to the freezer warehouse next door. My understanding tho is that Miss Lauras was a hopping place back in the day. Although, I would guess the clientel was probably a bit different than the folks I see goin in there now. Yall have a good visit, and if youre new to Fort Smith, welcome. Wave at the person driving that chicken truck,(it might be me). Good day and G-d bless.
