Very peaceful from about 9:30 - 12:00, on the Sunday morning I was there. Lots of trails to explore that were very short and easy. Some, but not all, trails were great for running. One trail will lead to another so you can extend your walk but I wasnt always sure which trail I was on. I saw no need for real hiking shoes/boots.

Nice place. Bathrooms very clean. People should clean up after themselves though. Will fish here again.

Went with a friend on the Wells Lake Trail for the first time. It was a good walk and everything was beautiful. Will definitely come back and check out the other trails.

Very nice facility with lots of exhibits inside and out plus miles of trails near the lake with boating launch and covered fishing pier. Friendly and helpful staff with multiple learning events throughout the week.

Best place around to relax, stroll, fish, and have a nice time. It is very well manicured and a lot of obvious care goes into maintaining the grounds. One of my favorite places in the city.

This park is a wonderful addition to the city of Fort Smith, Arkansas. I will definitely be visiting this park again for fishing and using the walking trails. Highly recommend for little kids and grown ups alike.

I always enjoy this place with my grandkids. They really enjoy it too. Each time we see something new like one time we went there right when they were feeding the big rattler in the front enclosure. There is also archery and canoeing.

It is absolutely beautiful at the nature center. We usually go to Wells Lake there for fishing. It is beautiful watching the sun rise and set here

This Nature Center is absolutely gorgeous! My dog and I love walking the trails around Wells Lake. The Nature Center has a lot of fun activities for children. You can also fish in the Lake. Very nice addition to the thriving Chaffee Crossing area of Fort Smith.

They need to have people not throw their trash in lake no fish was biting

Very nice place. Wish I would have brought a fishing poll. Trails are nice to walk, not to steep in any place. Very good time out with the family!

Great for families. Theres a bunch of interactive stuff and a lot to learn from the place. They have a lot of really cool animals and the Lake is beautiful.

Great place to bring the kids, or to go for a walk. They host tons of events year round.

They were renovating it looked like so there was plastic everywhere. The kids werent impressed. Outside play stuff needed fixed and updated.

I love this place. There are different trails that people can go on and the indoor area is amazing to take small children through. The indoor area is very interactive and great for school field trips. However, I have one problem with this place. They are building new houses all around the area and it is destroying the natural area of this center. It feels like in just a few years this place will no longer be an area for nature and will be taken over by over-priced homes.

A safe and family-friendly outing! The Nature Center boasts several animals native to Arkansas; including poisonous snakes, turtles, and fish. Several exhibits explain Arkansas geology and biology. An extensive and well marked walking trail system is available for the ones wishing to brave the humidity and heat. For the less adventurous, an indoor bird-watching area is available.

Very nice & family oriented place. Trail, fishing and we even took a hunting license class out there.

Great place for the family! My kids especially enjoyed the discovery room with all the furs, fossils, skeletons, and activities. The short hike around the lake was also very nice and paved.

Another beautiful Arkansas Game and Fish educational property. Our group stopped here. Friendly and informative staff.

I really enjoyed it when the snake got feed a mouse!

We went during a fishing derby for kids. The Wildlife Officers were cooking trout. The trails are not to long and they were well taken care of. The Nature Center had lots of exhibits and information.

Clean lots of people. Nice exhibitions, interactive for the kids. Trail have not been maintained well in past month. Maybe all the rain has impacted their efforts.

Walking trails and canoe and kayaks to use plus the interactive displays at the center are great for kids. Fishing can be tough at the lake.
