The best Park ever seen!... It havent missed anything for safe entertainment.!... Here we have for the whole family, all ages, with multiple options. Really well maintained. Share and respect between Nature and man which is a great example of convibence that urge to follow for others. Lakes show many window to a beautiful and relaxing view, have a rest and enjoy... Natural primitive trail, and super wide sand-shell trail for options and accessible to bicycles...
Great place in my neighborhood. With a two year old toddler this is ideal to get my kid out and about. We as parents have seen him making leaps in being comfortable in nature and around wildlife. Familiarity with different plant species is always a bonus.Today in particular was a shady day with decent cloud cover. We started at about 5 PM through the Childrens Garden and made a loop around the Botanical Garden, stopping at the Koi fish pond with a bridge over it. Awesome stroll. Also climbed up a Jamaican Cherry tree, stuffed my face with the juicy cherries and shared some with my 2-year old.
Beautiful park!! Love that it was pet free, no offense to animals lovers, but I wasnt afraid to set my foot down or sit in the grass️. I did a photo shoot there, it was great! Some of the bathroom were closed but other than that awesome!!
This was our first time coming to Lakes Park and I was blown away at the size of the park and all the amenities there was to offer. The Farmers Market was going on when we went, so that was a special surprise! A beautiful park, we will be coming back many times.
Great place to visit. Several trails (many are paved) and gardens to see. The trails are very handicap friendly. I plan on taking my father in law there soon. He is confined to a wheel chair but will have no issues at all navigating the area. They also have many types of bikes you can rent from 2 wheels to four wheels. Absolutely beautiful!!!!
This a good size fun park lots of various activities to do. The rent a bikes work very nice. There are sights all over the park, paths looping all around nature, and many different animals. Havent tried the paddle boats yet and you can even bring you kayak or canoe if you wanted. I personally enjoy a good long hike and go up and down multiple times on the hills by the parking lot.
I was here for my first visit two days ago. I was sad because the train ride and railroad museum were not open. Because my daughter was in charge of her kids I got to read several long signs outside the railroad museum without having to worry about my grandchildren disappearing. The playgrounds and the splash pads are wonderful.I was initially interested in becoming a Community Gardener until I found out that I had to rent a plot. I believe that Ill just go to the grocery if I want some veggies. This is truly a beautiful place. I wonder how much people in the high rise located northeast of the park here have to pay for such a view. I am eager to check out the Farmers market here. There did not seem to be anything that was close to being ripe in the community garden so I suspect that this is supplied by outside vendors. perhaps the best thing about this park is that it is less than a mile away from Home Depot. Weather permitting, we will be back in a day or two and I will get some photos. Fritos, were going to bring those to have with our sandwiches. I do not know the total number of eating areas; we chose a table that was close to the entrance just off Gladiolus.
Loved this place. Nice and beautiful lake. You can even ride a bike and walk the trails. Great exercise. Farmers Market was awesome on Wednesday. Go.
Finally explored the rest of this park, and was impressed with the bike and boat rentals. We came for the pumpkin patch and took a hay ride. There was A LOT of children on the playground and parents surrounding the area, which surprised me. Would like to come back after the festivities are over and explore some more.
Bring your kids and Family, Rent Some Bikes, Eat Icecream, See some beautiful Animals, Exercise, Playground, Water Fountain Parks for little ones. Celebrate Birthdays, Take Awesome Pictures with cool Backgrounds. So much to do here.
Bike rental was amazing! And they sanitized everything before we got on. Great experience!
I was back for the third time in a couple of weeks with my daughter and her children. We did not break any ground but the grandkids sure had a good time playing in the splash pad and on the playground. Almost got run over by one of the rent-a quadricycles. If that was my fault because I was standing on the sidewalk paying way more attention to taking a picture than was what was going on around me. We are planning to check out the Farmers market today. Im excited about that. No doubt Google will want me to review this place yet another time.
Really good place for kids and for adults... You may relax here, meet the friends, grilled, walk and run... wonderful place
Great little park! The trail that runs around the park is a nice length trail and our 2 year old loved the playgrounds and splash pads. Parking is cheap, just $1 an hour or $5 for the day. Overall pretty great little park of youre in the area!
Very nice park with a number of different rental items. Nice walk around the lake.
Amazing park with so much to do!! I hope they will continue to upgrade and update. The thing that would bring my family back more often, is if there were more big shaded areas near the playground or maybe those nice fans. Either way, we still love this place and look forward to our next visit.
I love going to the Farmers Market there on Wed. morning and the park also has a great childrens playground, splash pads, pedal bikes and jogging/walking trails.
Liked that it was only $1 an hour to park. Biggest complaint about ft meyers area is parking is expensive everywhere
Lakes park is always well kept when I visit. Its an extremely large park with a long trail to follow. It has excersise stations along the path for those going for a workout and tons of tree coverage for shady picnics. Tons of things for kids to do such as playgrounds, water parks, bike rentals, and mini locomotive rides. I didnt look too far into it myself, but I also believe there are kayak rentals to paddle across the lake as well and enjoy the outside Florida weather. If youre looking for fun outdoor activity, this is a good spot to go. Parking is cheap as well with it being 1 dollar per hour.
This is the most awesome park I’ve seen. They have something for the whole family. They have beautiful landscaped paths to walk or bike ride. They even rent all types of bikes and paddle boats. They also have a miniature train ride that takes you on a scenic tour. They have splash pads, bounce houses, and various play scapes for the kids. The farmers market sets up on Wednesday with awesome products including seafood ready to eat or to take home and fix the way you like. You might even see an alligator warming up on a rock in the lake.
Love this park, come here all the time. Plenty of space to walk around and lots of nice wildlife to see. Even see an alligator every now and then. Beautiful park, always come here to walk around and relax.
Most beautiful I have ever seen! So many gardens with diverse plants! All the plants have name tags with their name, scientific name, and place of origin! Loved the water! Saw two turtles on boardwalk. Wonderful fountains in ponds surroundings the area!
We went to the farmers market on Wednesday. They have a great setup and lots of food options. The playground area is very nice. Our toddler had a blast running around and playing on the nice equipment.
This park is great! Cheap parking as far as public parks go. I feel like its a safe place to bring my daughter. It is kept very clean and the entire trail is beautiful. Its really nice that they have events here frequently.
Beautiful park went hoping to see an alligator whilst on vacation. Instead saw a gentleman catch a huge fish I believe he called a Snu. It was still a good time.
Great park for walking, biking, fishing, paddle boats, splash pad, playground, and fun train.
Lakes Park in Ft Myers is a great park for kids and families. 2 small water park areas for small kids and toddlers with benches for adults with kids gated in area. A large outdoor playground with a mini train ride through the park and a train museum. There is also a large boardwalk that goes over the lake with an ice cream shop that has paddle boat and bike rentals. A separate area has botanical gardens you can walk through as well as picnic areas with grills for parties.
We were there for the farmers market on Wed morning. Awesome food trucks and as usual the produce vendors were wonderful.
Extensive park, train rides, multiple splash pads and parks, bike rentals, boat rentals. Great for kids off all ages...
Beautiful park with many activities and affordable boat and bicycle rides. Also includes a splash Park
A beautiful has-it-all park! Fishing, bike paths, trees for hammocks in the shade, cool playgrounds for the kiddies, cute train rides, volleyball, kayaking and much much, more! Pick a lazy day Sunday or an activity filled day! Either one wi be enjoyable here!
Lovely park for a walk, picnic or bike ride. There are picnic tables, some of which are covered. Great opportunity for bird watching. There is a farmers market once a week on Wednesdays. Get a Lee County Parks parking sticker and never have to worry about paying for parking. Dont miss the train museum, it is a lot of fun. The holiday train ride around the park is excellent. You can rent a bike, or a boat for more fun.
This is a great park to go to. The railroad museum is a part of the lakes park. There are plenty of activities for everyone. Nice tails for walking and bicycle riding. Wildlife viewing. Picnicking and and barbecuing. Water bicycles and multi-person bicycles are for rent. There are also very nice playground areas for the kids. Railroad museum is small, but it’s a nice place to visit. It’s only five dollars and it includes a 15 minute ride on a mini train around the park. The park has a very nice children’s garden. The park is free; there is only a parking fee which is $1 for one hour and $5 is the max. You can easily spend a whole day in the park. They also have a mini snack bar which offers cold drinks, ice cream and fried food like French fries, hamburgers etc.
Best park around. Lots of things to do with the kids and family. Splash pads, playgrounds, train, lots of fields and tons of wildlife. Holidays are the best. But the evening walks for the views are great too.
It always a nice place to go. Better in this weather. Missing the train rides this year.
Beautiful water setting with walking/biking trails and water activities with playgrounds for little ones. Train museum is a great bonus .
Was very nice. Big beautiful park. Lots of great things to do. Splash pad didnt have great pressure but kids still had fun.
It was a nice party pavilion. At 5 pm a man on a motorized vehicle came by and was very rude to us because we didnt leave the park. It was raining and the pavilion was all cleaned. He was sarcastic and rude and said you have to be out of here at 5. We knew that and were leaving. Someone needs to speak to him about how to treat families, especially after a rainstorm. The date was 10/3.
Great park for sports, biking, running, etc. Trails are nice though not always scenic. Lots of great bird watching opportunities!
Cant say anything bad about this place. Great picnic areas, things for everyone.
Great place to take kids. I enjoy taking walks around the park.
Nice park. Was gonna do the boats but the lake is not so big as it is cut off by a bridge. Rented a double bike and enjoyed a really nice ride. Nice park if in the area Ill come again. The park had a garden for kids which Ive never seen!
Large park, walking and bike paths. Many plants and flowers labeled so you can know the names of what you like.
Amazing and fun place to take the kids. Not expensive at all and plenty of fun activities to do out there. I would recommend packing snacks, food and plenty of drinks to stay hydrated. From the park to the water park and then the bicycles, water kayaks this place is plenty of fun.
Perfect place for families and friends to gather
Lakes Park is the premier Park in Southwest Florida! There are tons of different areas with attractions. You can easily spend 4 hours there with your children and not get bored.
Lakes Park is just about the best thing going in Lee County. Great and very scenic location for a walk, run or bike ride. The entire park is kept very clean. I usually spend a couple of hours there to get some walking and biking in.
This place is great. So much to do, and a little bit of everything for everyone. My wife and I explored this place by tandem bike that you can rent by the hour and we rode through all the trails. The property is very well maintained and there are several trails that intertwine if youre up to explore the whole part as we did. Plan a few hours to really soak up all this park has to offer. Great place to picnic and enjoy nature.
So many things to do here. Great place for birthday parties too. The kids love it
Biked all around the park! Lots of people biking but it didnt feel full at all! Took a break at the playground which my son really enjoyed. Finished with some time at the splash park which was a pleasant surprise! Highly recommend to anyone!
Beautiful scenery, trails for walking, running and biking. Loved it.
We love lakes park. Would have had a better time if the kid renting the bikes wasnt so rude.
Love lakes park!! Every Wednesday, they have a farmers market too. Nice place to contemplate.. Relax.. walk.. Bike.. and just enjoy nature! Lots of different birds. Big place too, so you won’t get bored going around.
Very nice park. Great for families, couples, or even time with yourself. Walking trails, park, benches, two water play areas, as well as bikes and water craft rentals are available.
Beautiful ride this morning. Love this place...
Beautiful park. They have multiple playgrounds, splash pads, covered tables, grills. They have a mini train ride for the kids, inflatable park on the weekends. Great trails for walking or biking. They also rent bikes for up to 8 people, paddle boats, and mini power boats. Awesome place to soend a day. Parking is 1 dollar an hour.
A great park with lots of paths for biking and hiking. Tons of wildlife and great spot for birding too.
What a beautiful park. So much nature to see. We walked 3 miles for breast cancer and couldnt have picked a better place.
I enjoyed myself! A very clean park and a beautiful place to enjoy yourself outside in the open.
I LOVE Lakes Park in Fort Myers, Florida! ️ The splash pad is a great area for children to cool off in the heat. The train ride, museum, and park is a must! It has trails to run, bike, or rollerblade AND exercise equipment to utilize along the way! Additionally, there are picnic tables & pavilions with beautiful views of the lake and wildlife!Respectfully,Jodi
Went here several times with the kids during our time in Cape Coral, FL. Great place to ride bikes. My kids really enjoyed the playgrounds. We tried the splash park a couple of times, which my 4 year old really wanted to do, but our timing was always perfect and it would usually thunder a few minutes after we got there and they would shut it down.
I love this park so much. Its clean and has some great trails. If you love being out in nature, this is a great spot to visit!
We loved the Farmers Market - so much more than just produce.
Great place to walk, fun playgrounds, fun splash pads. Plenty of water fountains and can even rent bikes or buy snacks/drinks. Love this place. Theres also plenty of shade, which is nice in Southwest Florida.
The Lakes Park were great, our boys loved the 2 water splash pads and train park, we had a great time and will be back to this park often. I highly recommend the Lakes Park.
Easily the best park in Fort myers hands down.
This park is my meditation in the mornings, my delight in the afternoon, and my calm in the evening!! Clean well maintained, and full of wildlife surprises. The garden is a wonderful place to walk through and enjoy the smells!!!
This place is awesome! The train ride for the kids is great. The park is huge. You can rent bikes with family seats. There is splash pads. Botanical garden is nice, pretty much has everything for a fun time with kids. Parking is 1$ per hour or 5$ for an all day pass. Train rides are 5$pp 6yo+ 1-5 are free and they sit with you.
It’s a very beautiful and calm place to go with your family. I recommend going here in the mornings
I went on a Saturday. We rented bikes and a picnic table area. The bathrooms are amazingly clean. Riding around this park is super fun. The ticket machine for parking is a little annoying if youre buying multiple tickets, but I found a workaround by using two different credit cards.
Makes for a nice scenic run. Very well kept and maintained park all year long. Great place to be enjoyed by all ages.
Awesome place, it is very big and nice. Has a great area for the kids to play in. Has a small train for the smaller kids to ride on with their parents. The place is nice and quiet and has enough space to find a nice quiet spot if you need one. Has enough parking to accommodate a lot of people. Has decent fishing spots and has signs to let you know where not to fish. Great place
Went with my grandson 11mo old. I hadnt been in yrs. Spent time at both water pads and strolled around park. Very very impressed!!! Loved it!
Very nice family friendly park. No pets are allowed.
Its 5 minutes from my house and has everything my wife I love to do
Great place for a family day! Large pavilions are equipped with BBQ pit, electrical outlets, plenty of picnic tables and water. Rentals are a fair price ($50 large /$25 small pavilions) Well maintained. Plenty to do. Theres a bike and boat rental. 2 large playgrounds, 2 water playgrounds, snack/food and drink shops and large field to play sports. A community garden and much more.
Beautiful park, but dont like parking fee or ticket. Besides that, its beautiful and clean.
Rent the 4 seater bike and take family on a ride. Well worth it.
The most beautiful place to check out the botanical garden
Very beautiful park. Great bike trails.
What a fun stop for the entire family. Lakes Park train ride and Museum was fun for both the toddlers and adults! There was a 15 minute ride on a mini train around the property, a railroad themed park and a railroad museum with a decent amount of artifacts and educational material to fill up a good portion of a weekend afternoon. There was an awesome Farmers market with TONS of great food stands and fresh produce a short walk from the train museum. There is also a great nature walk with excellent views. For a very low cost family stop, I highly recommend a stop at Lakes Park.
Very nice park, I love going to rollerskate their and others rollerskate/bike/skate their as well. There are many activities to do such as boats ride and you can also rent a bike that holds 2 - 4 people at most.
Splendid place! Enjoyed all the natural environment. Beautiful place, a lot of plants. Very good for kids with the playgrounds.
I went to the Wednesday Farmers Market. Love the park!
Beautiful park with a lot of trails, nature, botanical gardens, splash park, large play ground and more.
Well maintained and organized park, a lot of parking spaces available. They are recommending social distancing on their premises. Pedal boats and bikes are available for rent. Great park!
It was a great day met alot of friendly people 10/10 would go again
Nice 1 hr parking or 5 bucks a) day nothing was open tho bathrooms were open and clean
Lots to do for the little ones! The new kids garden is very well done and absolutely beautiful. Pack a lunch and drinks and stay the day!!
What a park ! Looks like the set for a jumanji movie! I cant wait to go back for fishing reasons. We only had an hour on rainy conditions as well howver I would suggest live shiners or other bait fish. No weight light to medium line 8 to 12 lb
Excellent park for a scenic walk. They have paddle boat rentals, bike rentals, and a train kids can ride! Great park for all ages.
Great community park with water features, walking, biking and Farmers Market too!
Nice place to bring a family for outings
So much has changed over the years. I love the openness and sections of entertainment, gardens and picnicking. I love that the train is still here!
People are NOT wearing masks or social distancing since DeSantis relaxed restrictions.
So glad that were able to have a farmers market again.
This is a beautiful park! It has an overall theme of an old fashioned train depot. Also theres a splash park for kids, a place to eat, train rides, public bathrooms and water fountains throughout the park. Walking trails go around the park. Theres also a community garden where You can rent space to grow your own vegetables! You can rent surreys if walking is too tough. And a bridge goes over a large lake where you can rent boats. Pokemon-Go is fantastic if you play the game. But beware of wildlife as we saw a few gators within a couple of feet of the walkway.
Great place for a family outing, or just relaxing with a book.
Very nice place to visit. All kinds of activities to keep you busy, there are clean facilities to use, pavilions to be rented for your events. Bring a bike, skates or rent a bike, either way you are in for a nice time.
