Quietly walks readings along the riverwalk clean and natural gardens yachts area and comfortable restaurant environment with waterfront condominiums are everywhere around
Great place to walk with kids friends or yourself. Along the New River in downtown.
Lots of closed stores but some very nice places are open . No KOSHER food available in the area but .. galleries galore and shops that will make your husbands wish they went fishing, but still. Bars and restaurants all over the place.
Its real nice. Very quiet this time this year. Still real nice. :))
Just visited The Wharf on Black Friday 2019. Its a nice place with plenty of square footage. The parking appears limited (we Uberd to the area). There is also a large building under construction just adjacent to it.There is a beat the clock drink special $5 @ 5PM, $6 @ 6PM, etc.. so, there are plenty of sloppy people enjoying themselves a bit too much.Bathrooms are plentiful and clean.Dog friendly, lots of good doggos were there. There happened to be a couple boutique shops selling clothes and jewelry. My fiance bought a nice top. There are a couple of food trucks offering up oysters, Asian fare, pizza.Tons of NOVA students.Overall, it was a good time. 4 stars because its on par with other places in South Florida.
Fantastic place to take a walk alone, with a friend or your dog. Nice views of the Ft.Lauderdale skyline, beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers, majestic yachts and sailboats on the river.
Well worth taking the afternoon to explore river walk. Never know what your going to find. Go when the food trucks are there and you will not be disappointed.
Good walk but was expecting more. North side better than south side. We went on a Monday afternoon and no many people around. Some construction on going but didnt bother us. No bars on the way on the north side but couple on the opposite side. It took us about 40 min there and back so its not too long. Then we returned to the beach on foot and that was also a nice walk.
Amazing renovation and shared public space! Just amazing how nice things are becoming in Fort Lauderdale
Great place to walk.
We were docked along side the riverwalk and enjoyed watching so many people take advantage of this lovely passageway. Probably 100 cute dogs walked by each day, bikers and the rental scooters all shared the paths. I always felt safe and enjoyed the scenery. A pedestrian path with art installations connecting nightlife, historical and cultural districts along the New River. A free water trolley operates during certain hours both to cross the river and to travel along its length.
Nice place to take a stroll along the river. Construction in the area makes it difficult to go the whole way without having to bypass. Can go from Las Olas to beyond the performing arts center when there are no detours.
What a great place to take family for a half day trip boats food flowers shops
Beautiful! Its so clean!
They finished most of the new buildings and the Stranahan House looks awesome...the new railings are perfect...they did a good job...we walk down there every early morning with the dogs.
Beautiful scenery and shops. I want to live here.
Fabulous place to walk your fog and see all the beautiful boats and homes. The man at the Information booth was so nice and friendly
Beautiful River views, restaurants and a fun water taxi. The captain provided historical facts and information about the River Nu which made our ride exceptional.
Very nice area, we love attending jazz brunch on the first Sunday of every month. Lots of construction going on right now so there is limited things to do in the old shopping district area. The free trolley is also a welcome enticement to visit. you can take it to the East end of Last Olas and walk the river walk all the way back. The water trolley is free and can take you to several places along the Riverwalk.
Excellent walk way on the water adjacent to multiple restaurants and bars.
Not much to do. Theres a lot of construction happening. I would suggest to stay on las olas
Had a blast, a great walk and also has water taxis. Cool places to eat on the blvd
Enjoy the taxi ride if you go to stop 10 or you go to stop one the tour is 3 1/2 hours long the restaurants in the places that the taxi stop at least ours was incredible fantastic the view of the Mansions is incredible and fantastic
Famous for Sunday music festivals, with many small food vendors. The great weather makes this a nice place to visit the first Sunday of ea month durng the summer...and the jazz band is free for all visitors. Bring your picnic basket, table, sun umbrellas and friends for some easy listening. 10 AM till 2 PM. Parking is $15 in private lots.
Great place to spend some hours, walking, biking, reading a book, the views are pretty, kids friendly, theres an excellent museum for kids crossing the street . Park to exercise, theres a free water transportation that can take you cross the river up and down, and picnic tables spread at parks and river walk . It looks clean and very well maintained. Theres big beautiful iguanas all the way making the experience even better. Only the homeless people I will really appreciate not to be around, It makes the place a little uncomfortable. Unsafe for kids, I will never go walking by myself, always with my husband if you are a female take a friend Avoid going alone, And theres still construction going on . Im sure it will be better in the near future. After construction its finished and they control the area better .
Quiet downtown feel
This used to a fabulous walk and experience. Now with the ridiculous greedy high rises under constuction..its blocked off...dont bother...how sad!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! My husband and I loved our walk on the Riverwalk! Gorgeous views of the water and the boats/yachts along the way. There are also a few restaurants and a few stores along the walk (but not too many). Plenty of benches and places to take a seat along the way. Mostly just a pleasant space for runners, walkers, and folks with dogs to enjoy the outdoors. Would definitely recommend this location for a relaxing afternoon outdoors!
We were docked along side the riverwalk and enjoyed watching so many people take advantage of this lovely passageway. Probably 100 cute dogs walked by each day, bikers and the rental scooters all shared the paths. I always felt safe and enjoyed the scenery.
A few good restaurants and a lot of real estate agencies
Its quite beautiful
Ft Lauderdale is pulling out all the stops im sure this well soon be 5 starts lots to do see eat shop and drink. Music and good times
The Mayor of Las Olas is nice. Hes not very talkative though
Lovely promenade. Should be longer!
Nice place to go around and to have a bite.
I love this place
Heavy construction but very nice to boat watch.
This place was once a community for everyone who lives in and around it. Unfortunately it is now only for a select group of people.
It was terrible, mainly construction, and no place to sit and rest. Too hot! Not enough shade.
Nice place to enjoy family and tourist
A wonderful tourist place. Be sure to stroll along the beautiful promenade along the river to see drawbridge, iguanas, historic quarter, museum square. You can go for free on a water taxi (tips - $1). Also you can try a water taxi and have a ride to the sea. Have a nice walk!
Nice place to take pictures. The water taxi takes you further down the river to see the breathtaking yachts and mansions.
You’ll find lots of places to sit, ride a bicycle, tour the historic Ft Lauderdale museum, or even make a reservation for a party or event at their historic restaurant. Look for the giant wooden lounge chair, the railroad trustle bridge, or the motorboats cruising by. Bring a lunch, dinner and relax on their picnic tables or grassy knolls.
I love this place and the jazz brunch one a month
Nice place to visit and have a bite to eat
Not very interesting unless you like lots of homeless people. Bland architecture and boring walkways. Lifeless atmosphere, even on the weekend. The water taxi is unique at least. Best to stick closer to the beach. Very sad if youve visited San Antonio!
Very nice area of Ft. Lauderdale! They had a high end street art fair.
One magic area, I love it.!! Try it. Also take the water taxi !! And.... enjoy it !!! Wonderful.
Very nice place for an afternoon walk
Very nice place to take a walk in Fort Lauderdale!
I love the Riverwalk! I always go for a little walk at sunset. Its very tranquil and its a nice venue to get rid of the hurry and stress of working days. Its also good to take the elders to exercise. Some historical places. I recommend to look for parking close to the historical museum.
Vibrant nightlife; most places you can eat and listen to live music.
So disappointed. Not much to see or do on a Thursday. Overpriced restaurants. Don’t waste the parking fee!
Nice place, I often came here with my family. There is lots of things to do. Such as bike riding, boating, reading books and etc. etc. If want to spend some pleasant time then visit here.
Super cool. Enjoyable.
Nice walk. Small. Not much else. Need to complete some stops such as cafes etc....
Beautiful place for a walk, but I remember it with more open restaurants a few years back.
Too much construction and couldnt find the area to walk around. Very disappointed.
Just love the experience.
Excellent food and environment!
I didnt do nuch there i mainly walked around a bit
Very good..place.
Seafood festivals .awesome
I went around noon time. It was full of homeless people on the benches along the river. Theres not a lot of shops and restaurants. Im thinking it might be nicer during the night. The walk is short so its not ideal if you want to run here.
The free boat taxis made our day
Great variety of places to eat
So much fun here today!!! Segway tour was awesome and can’t wait to do it again!!!!
Very nice walkway, love the concerts and views, closest to downtown
Nice to walk your dogs along the river
Great place to park and walk to beach or to Las Olas.
Beautiful and nice place
Very nice place
What a great place for a leisurely Sunday afternoon stroll, jog or cycle ride! Scenic, beautifully maintained, lots of boats on the water, drawbridges, and even some wildlife. There are family eateries and Las Olas is just a block away.
I called about the overgrown strip of the walk near where the walk ended by the ICON construction a week ago. The strip has been completely renovated. Weeds gone. New shrubs. I find this response remarkable. Great work by the management and the workers. Couldnt have asked for a better response
Will be nice. Some areas are bustling but many shops are vacant. Its nice by the water with a few historic homes and places to eat.
Nice water front park
So much fun at the Jazz brunch on the first Sunday of every month.
Peaceful easy feeling
Not much here really, a lot of retail that’s overpriced and pricey restaurants. Not really worth the parking fee
Beautiful place to walk, make sure to visit the Big Chair!
Very nice and warm.
Very nice!
Dont miss this
Interesting walk along the new river in fort Lauderdale
If you have nothing to do on a Sunday afternoon this place is a lot of fun you can get good exercise by walking at least two hours and enjoying the sights
Fun place to walk around. Love the canal, personal vessels, and draw bridges.
Beautiful scenery
Las Olas Exotic car show
