We still had a really nice time even during Covid. The room we had we could not complain too much. The one we had was designed as a handicap room. The bathroom did not lock and can easily be pulled open from the outside. So make sure you let someone know you are in there. Also make sure you close the main door as it does not close all the way when you come and go. The room was on the city side and we did not spend time looking at buildings across the street. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. It does have a small hidden refrigerator and small microwave.

I love the place great costumer service, drinks, Environment but once I saw a Mose and you dont need to be afraid of it but just enjoy the peace of mind that only Grand Pelican can ! Deliver, periodically

I have actually stayed at the Pelican Grand many times. Its a very nice hotel, and booking a room through the hotel has never been an issue. Booking an owner rental, specifically ROOM 625, was an absolute nightmare. For starters, you should know the hotel is going through a major renovation. The new rooms look great, by the way. But as of today (Jan 1, 2019) half the hotel is shut down. That is that half of the hotel ROOM 625 is in. You should also know when you book an Owner Unit at the Pelican, the hotel really is out of the loop. They will be notified by the owner, and they provide basic hotel services, but they really have nothing to do with the booking. I booked ROOM 625 through Expedia for Christmas week. I booked it in July. The posting mentioned NOTHING about the renovations. And I was informed by the hotel that the unit owner knew about the upcoming renovation for months. He just decided it would be cool if he didnt mention it. You also need to know that ROOM 625 is NOT being renovated. Unit owners can opt out of the upgrade, so ROOM 625 is literally the only room on the floor not being renovated. That means every room around it is being worked on. And I mean doors off, new sheet rock, serious noisy work. Every day. Take a look at the pictures. THIS is what the unit owner decided to conveniently forget to mention. Nice. I happen to live next to the hotel and had booked the room for my son and daughter-in-law, as we didnt have enough rooms at our place for the whole family. When I went over to check out the accommodations, THIS is what I saw. Unreal. So naturally, I tried to get a refund. No can do, said the unit owner. But wait, it gets better! The morning of check-in, I got a call from Expedia: theres no water in the room. You mean today, I ask. No, Im told. For the entire stay. So instead of my kids being at a hotel a minute walk to my apartment, they are moved to a hotel a car ride away. Not very convenient. And totally avoidable had the unit owner been a decent human and informed us MONTHS ago of the impending renovations. If youd like to stay the Pelican, Id highly recommend it -- but make sure you book a room through the hotel. And certainly dont EVER book ROOM 625!

We absolutely fell in the love with the resort. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room is a little outdated but the bed is comfortable. The only thing its missing is a coffee pot but the convenience of the downstairs coffee shop made it ok.

The door to the hotel room would not close. I was told that I would be given a $50 Expedia gift card for the inconvenience and the representatives lied because I was never sent confirmation.

The hotel is fine and location on beach fabulous. but this particular owner room was rather dated with serious repair issues. clogged sink, horrendously noisy bathroom fan, an outdated tv that was inadequate, a broken ipod alarm clock. (?remember ipods?) & old thermostat AC. the bed was quite comfy. hotel staff great, but they can’t service an owner room. housekeeping was an additional charge ( we declined). i have stayed at the hotel before and i would again, just not in an owner room.

Beautiful room. Very clean and up to date. The view is stunning no matter what time of day. Bed was very comfortable and honestly the check in process went very smoothly. Food was great at both the bar and main restaurant.

The patio door is broken and rattled in the wind for 3 straight nights . no Wifi in this room either. Pelican is a great place this room was terrible.

We had a wonderful stay ! It was clean and the view was amazing ! From the lounge to the pool and beach all personal we’re very friendly and very accommodating. I would recommend this hotel and resort to any and all friends

The hotel was GREAT! I have no complaints against the hotel. The unit that we stayed in was a privately owned condo that was being rented out. It was clean and comfortable, but there were maintenance issues that had not been attended to. It was not in rentable condition. The shower head was zip tied to a pole so that it would stay in position and not dangle down. The poles that open and close the drapes were tied on with string because the metal clips were broken. Overall, the experience was great at the hotel. We just got a bad unit. Even with the issues, I would still recommend staying here. The hotel bar offered half off all alcohol from 4 to 7 which was a great deal. They also had daily drink specials that were great. All of the food was GREAT! The lazy river was very relaxing. The staff was all great. When you went down to the beach, they had beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas that are included in the room fee.

Love the lazy river! Don’t like that they charge you an additional $35 resort fee. This should just be included with price of the room.

The $100 scam “property fee” that you find out after you book on Travelocity. When you try to cancel, you get no response from Travelocity or the property

WORST SERVICE EVER, 4 hour wait for the room, resort fee gets you nothing, property and rooms need serious repairs, staff acts like you are invisible, beach attendants are literally useless, elevators are a complete disaster, bartenders/waiters are incompetent, this pitiful level of service would shut down a hotel in NYC!

This was an amazing hotel - right on the beach, pool with lazy river, panoramic views of the beach and ocean. Even the bonus of having front row seats to the Navys Blue Angels.

DO NOT BOOK OWNER RENTAL .... BUT DO BOOK AT HOTEL ITSSELF ..... this owners rental was terrible I arrived in Florida and owner calls me and tells me my room is under construction and my room is unavailable he said hotel never told him ... (liar) I booked in spring he had lots of time... hotel it’s self is perfect I loved my stay they put me up in a room because this owner refused to answer my calls and the hotel to approve my stay in another room he pretty much left me stranded with my child but hotel was perfect everything there was great .... I will def stay again just NEVER THRU A OWNER’S RENTAL NEVER!!!!

This hotel is great. Its family friendly, provides great food and the rooms are super clean. The only problem was 2 dead rats that were quickly removed by a hawk and I mean talk about great service :D

Construction noise: starting at 9am, masonry drill directly above bed, when not drilling, pulling BX cable (a most irritating noise) made staying in the room impossible. Construction debris and dirt: Returning to the room in the evening, it was an obstacle course to get to the door (which had a blue x on it) I hope I can attach the photo before finishing the review.Safety: the security camera by the elevators on the fifth floor was totally covered with painters tape.

Excellent staff. There was a lot of remodeling going on at the time of our stay, but the noise level was kept at a minimum.

I love this hotel one of the best hotels in all of Asia, I loved how they left raw sushi of my bed. The fish looked and smelt disgusting but the thicc ass room lady took my mind off the old sushi.

The owner of this room is a con artist. You will be charged over $90 for fees. Nobody at the hotel at Expedia can tell you exactly what the fees are for. Stay away from this place! Even the valet employee shared horror stories about this owner.

I loved the fact the beach was downstairs out the doors and you were on the beach. Staff were super awesome. Room was clean and had a home feel to it. This hotel made it to my top 3.

The hotel is wonderful,but if you rent like me when you have to ask something the hotel said,we cant do because you rent with the owner,nobody clean your room,my room had a noisy I m call to the owne and he never show interest in fix, I stay the 3 days with the noisy.

The hotel was very nice and clean, with a beautiful beach and very close to go anywhere.The room that my husband and I was hosted, the carpet was not very clean look so old, the same thing with the bathroom was also old. The furnitures was also old and no have cabinets for the clothes. The only thing a like it was the bed, very comfortable. IThink the room have to have renovated. But the hotel was very nice and clean.

Dune expérience 5 étoiles il y a 9 ans, 7 ans et 4 ans, ce dernier séjour a été décevant. Un site qui manque damour (peinture, saleté des balcons et des chaises (étage)). Un personnel de bar prétentieux (et qui servait les olives avec ses doigts (!!)), un menu restaurant pas à la hauteur de se quon avait connu suite à nos 3 derniers séjours. Cependant le personnel a laccueil efficace ainsi que celui de la plage. Ce site de par sa localisation et sa grande galerie se démarque des autres - encore faut-il bien lentretenir.

Optisch schon traumhaft, aber die super Lage und der Service durch das freundliche Personal haben uns überwältigt! Wir hatten das Deluxe King-Bed Zimmer Nr. 604 ... die Aussicht direkt auf den Atlantik war unbezahlbar! Die Cocktails und das Frühstück wurden von Profis zubereitet > sehr geschmackvoll! Wir kommen wieder!

Tolle Lage direkt am Strand; kompetentes und freundliches Personal; sehr gepflegtes, großes und sauberes Zimmer. Das Restaurant ist leider dem Standard ensprechend teuer (speziell zum Dinner), aber dafür wird man auch mit einem einzigartigen Ambiente auf der Holzterrasse mit Meerblick entschädigt. Auch Valet Parking für 25,- $ / Tag ist etwas unverschämt, noch dazu, weil es keine Alternativen gibt, wenn man mit dem Auto anreist. Alles in allem aber sehr empfehlenswert, für die hohen Preise bekommt man auch etwas geboten.

Große Zimmer mit Balkon und tollen Meerblick. Poolanlage und direkter Strandzugang sehr schön! Zu wenig Liegen am Pool und Meer. Mietwagen notwendig, da wenig in unmittelbarer Umgebung.
