Yeah, gorgeous park! As you’ll find in some of the reviews there definitely is a homeless population here but I’ve NEVER had an issue with any of them. Nothing to be afraid of, it’s not a reason to not come to this park. Awesome big trees and grass.

Excellent outdoor spaces, and a piano to boot!! Ample parking and a clean entry lead to a wonderful library that is clean, organized and full of helpful and friendly staff. And it has the best computer lab of any public library that Ive used, nicely located away from the kids area.

The staff at the library are absolutely wonderful. Even being out of state they were able to answer all of my questions, get me a card and make sure I was good to go. The seclusion rooms are great to use and everyone there are friendly. The squirrels are also absolutely wonderful and so friendly. One of the better experiences, even coming from Wisconsin.

This is one of the nicest parks in Ft. Collins. Its spacious and tree filled and there is a nice playground for the kiddies. Benches, picnic tables, and lots of shade make it a great place for an al fresco lunch. Yes, there is an increased homeless presence at Library Park, but theyre just people. Theres no need to be afraid of them. Theyre not going to harm you. Just enjoy the park.

I love that Fort Collins has dedicated an entire block to the serenity of reading, chess (at outside tables and on a large lawn set), a history museum, and, the arts which flourish in the original Carnegie Library from the late 1800s, via that buildings modern use as the Carnegie Community Creative Center; its the site of art exhibits, performances, many community events, and, it houses a community TV set-up in the basement level, where folks can learn many a video skill and produce video. And, theres the playground for kids to enjoy before and after they go to check out their books. Finally I appreciate the expansive green space, the Piano About Town (usually being played) near the entrance, many bike racks (usually at least half full), and large trees. Library Park is an Old Town gem!

Great life-sized chess board. Plenty of open well-manicured grass for picnics and play. Good swing set. A good swing set is always a must-have item at any decent park. 15 minutes on a good swing set is better than an hour in a therapists office any day of the week.

The library is really cute and has a huge selection. I did notice there is an insane amount of homeless people that sleep/crash in the park around the building. I always expect to be asked for money or cigarettes or something. Its nice that they have somewhere to rest but its also sometimes quite annoying and makes the area look a little grungy.

This is a great place to go! The outdoor full size chess game is wonderful! The library is very nice too with a very nice and friendly staff to accommodate your every need! I only wish I had more time to visit the museum and the old structures that are part of our local history. Parking can be a challenge and for me who has an issue with walking any distances at times, makes enjoying everything the park has to offer a difficult proposition. So, enjoy everything they have to offer and for me I will definitely be back when I have the time to enjoy this wonderful park!
