Lovely views, flora and fauna aplenty, and a well maintained trail on the very edge of the city.

Nice rolling hills, nice views. Bikes go through this area too quickly sometimes, and in the summer you need to watch for rattle snakes. I dont usually use this trail in the summer because of the snakes and the fact there is no shade along the trail (its a prairie). Part of a very nice urban trail system.

Its a great spot for sunsets and its got some nice trails for walking and biking. The observatory is the best spot to hang out at and takes pictures or just watch. Its got an info board about prairie dogs. There used to be a speaker box that made prairie dog calls but its been removed and now there are just some wires hanging out

Good bird watching and a beautiful place to run or bike in the evening, it gets a bit hot in the summer during the day.

Beautiful area, too bad the ridge was developed with a hideous retaining wall and oversized ugly homes. This area also needs MORE PRAIRIE DOGS!!!

This is a really nice prairie area. Not as enclosed as some natural areas in Fort Collins but the wide open views are beautiful. The paths are nicely paved and wide enough for two lanes of strollers or wheelchairs. There are occasional signs with facts about the area and the wildlife found there. You can see houses or roads from the entire area but the rolling hills and sprawling prairie is beautiful and worth seeing.I really enjoyed the walk.

Glad to have such a well hidden area in such a great town. Cathry Fromme Prairie is never too crowded, bikes, joggers, walkers you will find them all enjoying their dayWhen I visit my in-laws, this is the trail I use to walk or bike. The views are breathtaking and the neighborhood homes are beautiful. It is a relatively quiet area where you can get a great workout with some hills,

This wide-open space has a nice wide bike trail that now connects on either end. The parking off Shields is easy to find and there is an earth-bermed raptor viewing building there. The bike trail now connects east to the bottom end of the Mason Trail and also goes south along Shields to the new trail to Loveland. The parking by Taft Hill is tricky. Youve got to come in off Harmony at the light.

If youre looking to take a walk in nature this is definitely the place. Ive not seen many more beautiful places than this in my life. I love going here the air is so clean and its just a very nice relaxing soothing place to be. Ill definitely be going back here as soon as it warms up of course LOL

Mi
Review №21

What a great place to observe natures beauty! I biked on the wide expanse of concrete runways, I call em, because they ARE so wide. The city keeps this area up well, cutting the side grass so it doesnt overgrow the walk, and regularly grinding down concrete that has gotten ajar from earth movement. You can walk or bike, as you please . . . . I love to bike there, as Im off the roads. Ill load my bike up on the back of my car and park and one of several ingress areas, and ride for miles and miles.Last ride I burned 255 calories, as my new trip calculator told me. WOW!

Because it is near my house, this is my regular walking path. I really appreciate that the sidewalk is cleared of snow and ice promptly. There are occasional benches and trashcans along the route. Its fun to see the prairie dogs and spot various raptors on the roosting poles.

Nice wide well paved paths. Covers a few miles of gentle rolling hills. If you continue on the trail to the north you can connect to the Pineridge Natural Area/Dixon Resevoir. The parking area is short on spaces however, so it’s hard to get a spot during busy times. Having multiple restrooms along the trail is nice as well.
