I love this park, especially since I can keep an eye on my big kid while he skates and my little one plays on the toddler slide. Warning, it can get very crowded so if you are concerned about social distancing, it isn’t a good park to visit at peak hours. Early in the day is best, although people do tend to wear masks. Also the big kids at the park tend to swear a lot and do what teens and tweens tend to do, so keep a close eye on smaller children when they are at the skate park. This park also has a great pavilion for parties.

Picking up my son at the new skate park here. I gave it 5 stars cause he is here every day. Rides his bike about 4 or so miles to get there. He has only great things to say about the place and people the park attracts. I added a pic of my son and his friend and Tony Hawk who showed up to skate with the kids

[Please like if this is helpful]Great skate park -- shallow smooth cement bowl with gentle banks, drop-in coping, and engineered drainage. Heaps of good skate lines to take, so still doable when a bit crowded.Picnic tables and pavilion near. Toilets were locked when I was there (reason for 4 stars) :(Wide open field good for everything!The crowd was young and friendly.

Beautiful big park. Love the skate bowl area. Lots of purple were there, but the park is so big there is room for everyone to have their own space and be comfortable. They have bathrooms also.

Super cool skate park!Our 4 year old grandson was the youngest one....but all the big kids did great zooming past him.

Lots of unattended toddlers and a very tightly layed out park without a lot of room. The craftsman ship is nice, but the park could really use an addition. Interesting and unique overall, but lacking a few key things that should probably be fundamental to all parks to help teach beginners. Remember the criticism is harsh because this is supposed to keep people from skating in the streets and on private property.

Ferndale! An amazing city and community. Very nice skate parks that attracts youth away from screentime.

The city has put alot of work into this park Looks much better Also a pavillion l had my daughters graduation party there U can rent it out too for a special occasion playgrounds for the kids too

First time skateboarding in over 15 years, and you better believe Ive slammed more than a few times, but its a beautiful park with countless lines waiting to be done. Looking forward to improving my skills and spending time practicing here whenever I can.

Maybe more of police presence. Alot of pre-teen/teenagers vandalism, smoking and starting fires

Decent place for everyone to skate, I recommend a secondary area for younger children to practice as high volume creates disastrous environment for youngsters.

Been a staple of Ferndale for many years and they did a very nice job on the skate park. It would be great to one day see youth baseballs being played but times change..

Best skate park around

Its a beautiful park. However ever since the skateboard ramp has been put there, its been very crowded. You have to try to find a time thats peaceful before the noise comes.

Great toddler area and skate park

The skatepark is very unique and awesome for carving. Because if its flowing lines, it gets hard to ride when the park is crowded. Watch out for little kids.

I’ve met a lot of cool people at this skatepark and it has a lot of flow. Favorite skatepark in the area.

Had our family reunion here and everyone loved it. The shed was the perfect size. The kids loved the play area and it was more than enough room for bouncers and other activities. The bathrooms were clean enough and were very convenient. I also liked the lights that were under the shed.

Its a park. I wish they ever opened the bathrooms or put a little effort into the decrepit roller hockey rink (it was nice in 1998, but now its sad). I gave three stars because I have good memories of playing bike wars in there, trying to jam pieces of wood through the spokes of bikes we bought at thrifts stores or found in the trash when I was in junior high/high school ≈20 years ago.

This is an awesome place. The park is clean..has an area for smaller children and and a area to barbeque.

Wonderfully maintained. Certainly my favourite park in the area, but it could be a little less empty, especially on the south side.

This is mistakenly listed as a, dog park. If you define a dog park as a place youre able to run your dog without a leash, this is not one of those. You are not allowed to let your dog off the leash. I was recently reprimanded by an officer for having him off his leash and it was quite clear Id be ticketed if I didnt have him on a leash the next time the officer came around. If you keep your dog on a leash you fit within the parameters of this park.

I have always loved this park. It has a bike depot ready with tools and air pump. The park is solid. And ice skating in the winter.

Nice park to bring the family. Always clean. Bathrooms available. Grills, picnic benches, plenty of open space for a game of catch or running around, and two playgrounds for the big kids or for the toddlers.

A large park with baseball diamonds, structures, covered bench area and roller hockey rink. Its a large park with ample room for walking.

Police is the problem and the neighbors not at all.
