Very nice, modern venue. The staff are super friendly and professional. The food and drinks are a bit overpriced but thats understandable for the type of venue and experience.

The theater space was cozy, the actors were energetic and engaging, and the staff was very friendly! Not to mention, my drink from the bar was excellent, and the cafe offers vegan options. I didn’t know that the building is open to the community all day long - a perfect place for studying or meeting up with a friend. I’ll definitely be visiting again soon!

Went to see A Christmas Carol tonight with my 12 yr old son. It was his 1st play. It was amazing!! All the axtors were Awesome. I love plays and just got my son on board as well. He loved the magic. The guy who played Scrooge was a wonderful actor. I would love to see him in other plays.

The new facility is absolutely great. Highly recommend that you take in some of the plays. They have a small Theater which has great acoustics. The main theater is much larger and the Acoustics need improved. There is such an echo that if you were in the upper row it is hard to understand what is being said by the actors.

Recently saw my first play ever here (I know, uncultured swine). I’ve been missing out. Really cool building, cozy theater, great acting from the crew that did The Royale. Comfortable areas to have drinks before the show. Didn’t try the food but everything coming out looked great.

Comfortable seating, good spacing and adequate distance between rows. Great production of Dickens Christmas Carol, with excellent English accent by whole team. Only disappointment was very slow intermission refreshment service due to insufficient beverage equipment capacity, which would be ok if theatre was only 30% full. Missed first few minutes of second half. Gets 5 stars assuming this is fixed i next few weeks!

Beautiful theater and welcome addition to the arts in NWA. However, poorly run by management when a show is cancelled due to one actor unable to perform (albeit a great reason because his wife had a baby ). I assume this will be the case for all productions as there are apparently no understudies to take the place of actors who are unable to make a show? Disappointing that they dont offer refunds for shows THEY CANCEL when you cant find a replacement show that fits on THEIR schedule (you have to work around availability of tickets which is difficult for those of us who have to travel extensively for work).

I adore live theatre. Theater? Were gonna go with theatre (since TheatreSquared is what Im reviewing).I went to TheatreSquared for years when it was right across the street. The venue was a little dated, but I loved the space. I was sad when I heard they were shutting it down and rebuilding it. I was afraid they would make it larger and lose the intimate feel for which the theatre is so well known. But praise be, I was wrong. The new theatre is gorgeous. There just isnt any other word for it. It has a modern feel with a lot of clean lines both inside and out. There is a lot of glass and wood and concrete. There is an adequate amount of seating. It isnt terribly comfortable (thats my chronic back pain speaking), but get there about 30 minutes before the production and you can grab a snack at the cafe and snag a seat at one of the tables. But its whats inside the theatre thats the most important (and its why I posted so many pictures of the stage and theatre seating, to give you a feel of what Im writing about). Its about half the size of a movie theater (maybe not, but it feels that way) and it curves around the stage. There truly isnt a bad seat.Unlike the Walton Arts Center (which I also love, mind you), the stage is surprisingly close. And its incredibly intimate.Theres just something about it that you cant get anywhere else. Unlike going to a movie, you are connecting with the actors on the stage in a more human and personal way. You get completely wrapped up in the plays momentum. Their tears are real tears. Theyre so close you want to comfort them.Because of the closeness, you get lost in the set design. When we saw All The Way the stage was very intricate. It intertwined the stories of Lyndon B. Johnson and Martin Luther King, Jr. with all the characters weaving in and out of the scenes. The play was incredible. We were almost uncomfortably close. It felt like we were in the play, in a way. This is a great segue to talk about the type of plays that come to TheatreSquared. All The Way was released in 2012 by Robert Schenkkan and won a Tony Award for Best Play in 2014. Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) played the lead on Broadway. And although we did not see Bryan Cranston (sadly), the actor we did see did an incredible job. This speaks more to the quality of plays. Each play we have ever looked up comes stacked with awards a mile long. Ive never even looked up a show that didnt come with accolades galore. Our premier show at the new theatre was called Royale. Ill take you through the whole experience. We walked in and I think we were 2nd or 3rd row (this is a great point, the 1st row is a bit below stage-level so I would recommend being a smidge higher). We were stage right a few, probably 5-7 seats from the middle. The stage was insanely close and it was set up as a quarter of a boxing ring. So there we sat,  looky-looing around the auditorium (which seems like a word thats too big for where we were) and talking about the stage. The play was highly regarded and had won multiple awards, but I wasnt 100% excited to see a play about boxing. And how in the world were they going to put on a play about boxing with 1/4 of a boxing ring?Like many times in my life, I was completely wrong. The play was incredible. There were 5 actors and although the backdrop of the story was boxing, it was more than that. It was about civil rights and racism and the sacrifices we make for family. The acting was phenomenal. They tackled boxing like a dance. Both actors standing next to each with the emphasis of a stomping foot representing a boxing it.The coup de grâce came after the performance when the entire cast came out for a Q&A session. We went to celebrate Valentines Day and bought Date Night Tickets. I highly recommend this. For $75 we received a glass of wine each, a shared brownie, and 2 seats wherever we wanted to sit. A regular ticket was about $50 each for premium seating (where we sat) so this was a great deal. And the play was well worth it.Go, have a great time, and support local art.

Marvelous smaller venue with productions that are close up and encourage audience participation. Just attended Every Brilliant Thing a truly unique presentation featuring a Tony award winning and talented actress/singer. AND, by fall 2019 the newly constructed TheatreSquared will be opening. Its a nice looking venue, but small. My real issue is that they allow booze in the theater and also allow people to come in during the performance. This is extremely low class, rude and distracting to both performers and audience. If they cant get to their seat in time, tough. They wait for a break in the performance. I know if no other theater in this country or abroad that condones this bad behavior.
