Wow, I was really impressed upon visiting this place for my father. The place is currently undergoing some renovation but was appreciative of how well maintained everything was. So far I recommend this place as a consideration for elderly living.

Everyone here is great. My sister and I got our flu shot here this year. My sister got her DMV license renewed here. Great services for seniors. I live next door at Olley Glen.

The elderly were very friendly and enjoy good conversation.

Lots to offer for exercising classes. Parking is terrible.

It looks like a good affordable alternative to joining the county recreation centers.

The center is great as well as the staff. I didnt give five stars because of the parking. There is not enough parking for center members. Needs to be addressed.

My mom moved in about 6 months ago. She has been happy and we are happy, she has settled in well.Rental price and support folk are great!Thanks for being there!

The newsletter, Journeys, is wonderful. It is linked on the center website. I have not seen another Fairfax County senior center that has its own newsletter. I like it because I can see all that is happening during the present month, it is nicely designed and it is online. Great job, very convenient. I think it shows a care and forethought for the members.

The service was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The trees were priced appreciate according to size. I traveled from DC to Fairfax. It was worth it.

Good facility for senior people

Took Dad for a visit in 2010. Nice place but he prefer to stay at daycare Leewood.

The director of this center encourages a policy which ultimately deprives its senior member of their independence & self reliance. She is so afraid that a senior may get injured & sue her & the center thus she & her staff does everything for the members & thus limiting the acativities of the members, which will result in shorting their lives. She should. be replaced.

There is some confusion on this website. Little River Glen Senior Center is a unit of the Fairfax County Recreation Department, open for a wide variety of activities to any senior resident of Fairfax County. It is not an assisted living unit, nor does anyone live there. It is open 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, except on holidays.It is located adjacent to but is not connected to Little River Glen and Olley Glen, moderate income independent living apartments for Seniors. Next door is Braddock Glen, an assisted living facility.These three are owned by Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority, FCRHA. FCRHA is not part of Fairfax County government. As an Authority, it is independent of any government agency. Funding comes through HUD, (federal), and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Fairfax County Department of Housing administers property owned by FCRHA under the direction of the FCRHA.The gentlemans review is not in any way applicable to the Little River Glen Senior Center, or its director. He may have been referring to Braddock Glen, because it is possible to follow the road in, off Olley Lane, by the Little River Glen sign, Barker Ct., and go around past the Senior Rec Center, and past Little River Glen and Olley Glen apartments, and come to the main entrance to Braddock Glen Assisted Living, and assumed it was part of Little River Glen.Actually, Braddock Glen does have an entrance of its own off Olley Lane, which if you follow the drive around to the side, also comes to its main entrance. Its street address is Olley Lane. The street address of the others are all Barker Ct.Residents of Braddock Glen are there because they can no longer take care of themselves. The Little River Glen Senior Recreation Center activities are appropriate for participants who function at a much higher level than assisted living residents.H.
