Absolutely awesome workout. the instructors bring SO much energy every time, get you motivated and are super helpful getting first timers set up. its challenging but you will leave feeling 10x better than when you came in!
I have been to almost any gym you can name in DMV area, from super luxury to very regular ones and I’ve never received such terrible customer service that I did at this one. As a first time goer you should be there 5 minutes earlier and due to the traffic and parking situation I got there 3 minutes earlier while on the phone with their front desk, as a courtesy that I’m walking towards the studio. So I basically treated them as respectfully as I treat my doctor. They did not let me in because I was 2 minutes late, even though if I wasn’t a first timer I could be there even 5 minutes later. So clearly there was some 5 minutes to spare before the class starts officially and everyone’s set on their bike. If they wanted to really welcome a new comer, out of courtesy, they could easily set me up and it wouldn’t take more than couple of minutes. The lady said she cannot do it for “safety reason” and the other one made it even worse by saying “we want to show you the studio first”. 1- What are the “safety reasons” anyways? It’s only a bike, I’m not going skydiving. And whomever goes cycling most probably has done it before. Would it take you more than 30 seconds to instruct me? I don’t think so, if you wanted to deliver a good customer service. 2- seriously? So advertisement comes to you before your customer satisfaction, you could give me a tour of the studio after the class. If I could give a ZERO star, I would. They say come to the gym to feel good and have a positive mind and body exercise. By far this was the most frustrating experience that I had with a gym. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
No words can describe how happy I am that I finally got the confidence up to try Zengo in Mosaic. I had major foot and ankle surgery a few months back plus I’m overweight so I was anxious about taking the step to go to an organized class. I took a Saturday class with Ellisa and whoa! She’s amazing! Best energy and so motivating. She made me feel so comfortable, confident and strong. I’ve since been back a few times and each time I love it even more. Please open an Arlington location! I tried another spin studio close by but it just lacked the energy of Zengo. I’m looking forward to getting stronger through Zengo.
My favorite guilty pleasure work out! All the instructors are fabulous and get you amped!! Empowering work out.
Energetic cycle studio with very enthusiastic instructors that motivate you in the early mornings. Music can be a tad loud (if you have sensitive ears) but there are ear plugs that make it a great class!
My husband and I have ride at cycling studios around the country regularly and we had a good experience at Zengo. The class was challenging and instructor was on beat. The studio was really nice and more spacious than most. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. We would absolutely come back when were in the area.
My wife is a long-time patron (twice a weekend, for over a year). Im writing on her behalf. Our baby has been sick last two days, she called and spoke with a Sarah, kindly requesting that her appointment from this morning be cancelled. Sarah, showing no compassion, sympathy or even understanding refused to cancel the appointment, citing our policies. What kind of business policy is this? Our 3 months old baby has fever, and we call well in-advance to cancel, and thats the treatment we receive?
Reply to other coment...... Equipment is modern and doesnt have a digital readout because you work at the resistance that works for you.
Just did my first class. Im dying right now. Great work out after a long time and Im looking forward to attend more.
I have a love/hate relationship with spin. I know I am going to sweat, I know my quads are going to cry, and I know I will hate it during the 60 minutes I do it. I have been to studios across the DC area and I have to tell you that Zengo is now one of my favorites. This mornings 6am class was pretty empty, so I cant attest to the atmosphere during a full class, but Cassidy took all of us up about 10 notches in energy the second we started class. I was sweating, pulsing, dipping, and most of all peddling the whole time and didnt hate it. The class was a great time and you can tell that everyone was there to work out, but also have fun.The benefit of an almost empty class is that no one used the locker room after. As I had to go straight to work I was able to check out the shower/amenities. They have everything you need to get in and get out and go straight to work (Towels, Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Hair Dryer). All in all. Cant wait to come back!
Great price! Excellent employees! Audrey is fantastic
Classes are engaging and a great workout. Suggest earplugs, especially in the front row. Cycle rooms are dark and equipment is average--no digital readouts. Bikes are only equipped with clips, no baskets--which Ill hit on later.Locker area is nice. Area is unisex, equipped with opposite sex restrooms, each with a shower that is seldom used. Classes in the morning are nearly empty, and evenings arent much different.Functions differently from a spin studio at your regular gym--you purchase by the class. Classes are typically purchased in advance and can be purchased as a package to receive a discount. Classes expire after a certain number of days post-purchase, but this can be extended if you call. Most instructors are good, and all instructors do upper-body workouts which some veteran spinners will claim to be unsafe and potentially harmful to your knees. I dont know of it actually is, but always try to use your core and work on the proper muscles with your bike properly set up.Classes are outrageously expensive--as much as $21 per class. To add insult to injury, youre offered spin shoes to rent (which are REQUIRED for their bikes) and a bottle of water at every check in, both for a cost. For a $21, 50-minute class, water, at the very least, should be provided free of charge. At this location, there isnt anything beyond the 50-minute class (such as 90-minute classes). Not sure if the other locations offer anything, as you book your class by location, and each one operates somewhat independently.Ample parking, and they dont allow late arrivals, which is a welcome change from other spin classes. They clean your bike (rather than self-clean) after each class which Id expect at this price point.
Came here with my pregnant wife. She had to go in to set up right away. Multiple employees walked past as I fiddled with their locker. No one offered to help. Eventually a staff member came by to say that it was now too late to enter. But I couldn’t go in to let my wife know. Just wondered around mosaic for over an hour. #worst experience ever.
