Really like my neighborhood cinema. Very friendly staff. Also like the individual seats each separated by arm rests.

This is the best kept secret in Evansville. You choose your own reclining seat in any theater so you have plenty of personal space. Even when the theater is full you arent bumping elbows with your neighbor. And with every ticket they give a free bag of popcorn. If you havent been there you need to go.

We love going to the movies at Showplace Cinema. Especially on Tuesday for $5! At Showplace North the seating is comfortable with the reclining chairs and you get a free small bag of popcorn with your purchase of ticket. It has been remodeled and is so much nicer than it once was.

Very patient and helpful ticket counter, it was Saturday so popcorn was free (pleasant surprise), reclining seats were super comfy, even bathrooms were sparkling clean. All good!

Had an extra ticket because we bought them the day before. My friend got sick and couldnt go. They actually gave me a refund for the ticket. I wasnt expecting that to happen and was shocked. Great customer service!

Free small bag of fresh popcorn! Drinks are less expensive than the other theaters and they serve Pepsi which is way better than Coke. The reclining seats are comfortable with one exception, the foot rest feels like a piece of plywood coated with leather, was hard on the ankles.

My problem with this was not the movie. The movie was fine and everything was fine until after the movie. I come out of the movie theater and my phone is very greasy and keeps on getting greasier and I don’t know why. I then go look at Snapchat and hear my speaker and it is RUINED!!! I think it’s my phone case, so I take it off and see the inside is COVERED IN BUTTER!!! Neither me nor my friend got butter on our popcorn but it was THE CUP HOLDER I had placed my phone in that got my phone covered in butter. I tried calling the manager 5 times and NO RESPONSE!!! Doesn’t even let me leave a voicemail. I simply won’t be going back to this theatre because of the mess that was left in the cup holder and now my phone speaker is RUINED!!! Simply not worth it.

The popcorn is always fresh. The recliners are always comfortable. An all around great place to watch a movie. Never a line. Never sold out. The staff is courteous and helpful.

I like the location. There are free small popcorns and thats awesome. All staff members we encountered were very friendly. We saw a show on screen 8 today and there was a big stain pretty much right in the middle of the screen that was pretty distracting during the movie. My daughter lost something down between the recliner seats during the movie and we discovered a whole new world of filth and old food when we had to look for it. I think they need a total deep cleaning in the very near future.

These folks have brought me back to watching special films in theaters. I dont go weekly or even monthly, but when something that strikes my fancy comes out, I hit this place up preferentially. Great seating. Decent prices at the concession stand. Very friendly staff. Its always been relatively clean when I went in (its hard to give a thorough cleaning to an entire theater between shows, but the floors have never been sticky and the bulk of the last-showing-crowds garbage has always been removed).

The recliner seats are extremely comfortable. I have sat through several 2 hour+ length movies here, and have always been nice and relaxed.The staff is always friendly, and the place is always clean. Plus, a FREE popcorn with your ticket... I will always choose Showplace to catch a movie!

Great place. We were the only two people in the room. We did have to go ask employees to start movie after waiting 20 minutes from start time. The help did not act like they were happy to work there all 3 of them. Not friendly.

Seats could of been a bit cleaner and picture needs updated. Bout over all it was a good family time., also need more arcade games for kidss!

This location is cheaper that their others and they give you free popcorn to entice you here. The theater is older than the others but has been updated to high back stadium seating. Seats are comfortable and it is usually not crowded so you have plenty of room.

Went to a movie that started at 7:40. Got drinks and the movie started. The new seats are really nice, but went to get some popcorn and another drink at 8:00 and was told they had started cleaning out the machines and they couldnt sell anymore concessions. What kind of place wont sell food after 8 pm. When. The movie just started. If you go buy food beforehand.

The show time was changed from 1 to 1:50.That meant setting there for an hour with kids.And I spent $20. On food which was not necessary. We could not wait for the hour all we got was a refund on the tickets. We spent $50. For nothing.

My family had terrible service at the Royal Suites. Their food was very late, refills drinks never provided when staff was standing around. Sad for such a new facility.

Wear long pants... It must have been 55°f in the theater, combined with a huge leather chair...very uncomfortable! New Reserved Seating is another triumph of technology over common sense. Cheaper and easier to stay home and watch Netflix or On Demand.

This was the single worst experience I have ever had at a theater. There was bad music absolutely blasting over the speakers while we waited IN THE DARK at a childrens movie for the previews to start. Ten minutes after the movie was to start, multiple parents went out to ask what was going on. Fifteen minutes late, the previews started and all of the house lights came on. There was no audio with the previews and the music was still playing so loudly we had to shout to talk to the person next to us. Again, multiple parents went to complain. At the END of the previews, they turned the terrible music off and started the audio. FINALLY the movie started. The house lights were all still on and the music came back. NO AUDIO FOR THE MOVIE! The movie continued to play as several parents left to complain for the THIRD TIME. We demanded that they start the movie at the beginning. We went back in and the audio eventually came in as the music turned off and the house lights went down. By this time we had missed the first 10 minutes of the movie! They didnt restart the movie!! Mid way through, the movie froze. We all sat for several minutes waiting for it to be fixed. FOR THE FOURTH TIME multiple parents had to go search out an employee to get it started. At no time during any of this did a single employee apologize. At no time during any of this did a single employee even enter the theater. We had hoped for a fun family outing. This was anything but. This was the last time we will give Showplace Cinemas any of our money. AMC is the only place for us. Trying local was a huge mistake.

The ticket prices are reasonable, although I tend to stick with the matinees. The popcorn is always good and the staff is friendly. Its a shame that this mode of watching movies seems to be dying out.
