The manager & staff was very friendly. The lobby & theater was clean. Enjoyed my time there. As a employee & a customer. Its a GREAT place. Love it

The cinema was overall, clean, the staff were paying attention to there surroundings & each other more then the customers, the seats were comfortable, the popcorn was fresh & the nachos with cheese were crisp & hot! The soda fountain was well balanced between the carbonation & syrup, in a overall rating, Id say i recommend the East side Showplace a (8.8) out of 10.

However, two employees let people without masks into the movie theater. I asked Showplace about it and they were embarrassed that 2 people failed to notice the customers didnt have masks. I dont like masks, but I wear mine for myself and other people as well. Be respectful.

The Royal Suite is amazing!!!! The waitress was beyond awesome. We never even had to press the button to call for her. The reclining chairs made it much more comfortable watching the movie. All around, best theatre I have ever been to!

They have done a great job helping people come and watch a movie in a safe and sanitized environment. You can go and relax knowing they are looking out for you while you enjoy a good movie.

Love this theatre! We ordered a small drink and popcorn. The girl offered a medium combo for a cheaper price. Its a small thing but its rare that customer service of any kind happens in a movie theatre. Also, the seats are all big comfy recliners. We were in the smallest farthest theatre and still had the good seats.

Went to see 1917. I received a Fandango card for Christmas so I got online and accidentally punched in for Royal Suites at Showplace Cinema East, Evansville, Indiana. First time Ive ever been in the Royal Suites theater. If youre not going to eat dinner there, and by the way the prices for food were fairly reasonable, I was surprised, I wouldnt bother going in there. We just went to watch the movie. The theater is quite spacious, lots of room, not a lot of seats, so there will never be a large crowd. Tickets were $10.50, it was enjoyable. I thought the movie was pretty good, my wife just thought it was okay.

Went to see a 4:10 showing of Ford vs Ferrari yesterday (Sunday) in the Royal Suite. Ive never been so disappointed in Showplace! The suite was not cleaned from a previous showing. We had to remove cups from our reserved seats. The bathroom was dirty for such a slow afternoon! Our food came out over 40 minutes after ordering, half was sent back for being inedible, and we had to get our own drinks after asking 3 times. The movie itself was wonderful even though we had to keep dealing with the interruptions from the horrible service we paid a premium price for. We ended up going to the concession. Save your money and skip the Royal Suite! Im just going to wait for releases on Apple TV. Im done with Showplace.

Love the theater but the website said Emma wasnt playing but it was also the price of the drinks and popcorn was outrageous. The seats are recliners and are very comfortable and spacious. Will go again soon.

The manager went out of his way to get me unsweetened tea so my sugar wouldnt go to high with my meal. He had them make a fresh batch of tea. I believe his name was Aaron. Thank you Showplace on Morgan Ave.

Who doesn’t love movie nite? Let me add a suggestion....go to Royal Suite. Their food is a lot better than you think it should be. Even their ham burger is awesome. However, if it’s a good movie(and usually those are the only type of movies you will find at Royal Suite) make sure to get there early and place you’re order as soon as you sit down. Even if you aren’t hungry. The waitresses(or waiters) get very busy very quick and it will take longer for your food if you wait.

Ive been going to Showplace for over 30 years. Theyre local to Evansville and they are always reinvesting in their business. They put the big chain theaters to shame.

I gave the great place a 4 only because the prices are kinda steep but if you want a reclining chair, big screen, awesome ticket pricing movie place? This is a place I would recommend!

We love Showplace East in Evansville. Took our nieces to see Frozen 2 which we all loved! Love the General Admission Cinemas now too because they all have reclining seats, which is very nice, almost like watching movies at home. The nieces are still in the $8 price range, so thats a plus. Treats are a little pricey, but its worth it to hear their laughter and show them a good time! There are plenty of restrooms too, so youre never to far from one, which is important when you have children with you. Worth the money spent for a good date night or night out with kids!

The seats were comfy and the tickets faily priced... weird bathroom layout and the concessions were overpriced, but thats par for theaters these days.

Their IMAX theater is excellent. Sounds quality alone has caused mediocre movies become 100x more enjoyable. The newly reworked seats add to the comfort. My favorite movie theatre in town.

Friendly, helpful staff. Prices are pretty standard for first-run features. Tuesdays, everyone gets a ticket for $5.00. They have a pour-your-own beverage station which is well-maintained with quick clean-ups when somebody spills their popcorn or a drink. But its all about the electronic reclining seats with massive arm rests, leg rests and adjustable head rests.

Great movie theater, I have been coming here for years. But its not cheap. And the popcorn and drinks are outrageously expensive! But I guess thats nothing new. They have alot of other things here too, like a arcade, bowling, and laser tag too. And they have a restaurant and bar as well.

I love the fact that they now have $5 Tuesdays and that they stopped trying to cram as many people in each theatre as possible. The new seating, for all theatres, is comfortable, adjustable and non-claustrophobic. Plus you can get someone to bring treats to you, which is awesome if you are elderly, disabled or on crutches. There is plenty of room for people with long legs or curves. No more having peoples feet next or kicking your chair to your head as you watch a movie. For me, the best seating starts in row D.

Watched The Current War here because they wont show it in Owensboro. Great movie! Showplace Cinema is a nice place. I have no complaints.

Now I have only sat in the Dine In Theater section, so I cant really talk for the regular theater. But the dining in movie section is really nice. Ive been to some really cramped ones that didnt work really well. But this ones got plenty of space its very comfortable staff is really good at being in and out quickly while being attentive. I would definitely recommend to go to, especially if youre going to be in a long movie like end game.

The theater was clean and the viewing experience was good. We bought our tickets online and the only complaint I have is the 1.25 per ticket service fee per ticket for buying the tickets online. With the high price of the tickets and concesdions, this extra seems unnecessary.

Online tickets for the Royal Suite are the way to go here. Transforms the movie experience completely. Food is great and priced about what you would expect at any chain restaurant.

They need to install a ventilation system. It smelled of burnt popcorn and food. So strong that it was difficult to breathe. Otherwise its a nice place.

The theater was awesome. only problem was there was a bunch of kids yelling and screaming in the theater police had to show up and tell him to quiet and yet still nothing was quiet they could have moved us to a different theater

My family and I went to catch Star Wars on Tuesday, December 31st on the IMAX screen. We were surprised the $5 Tuesday ticket prices were still good for New Years Eve. We were in disbelief at the new seating in the theater. Were about 2 hours away from Evansville (used to live there 20 years ago) and had not been to Showplace since Doctor Strange a few years ago.We usually catch Star Wars at the IMAX theater at the Indiana State Museum but were too busy this year to make it. That theater is amazing and all but the comfort watching it in Evansville is unmatched. My wife, kids and myself were thoroughly impressed with the changes made at Showplace Cinemas in Evansville. Im not joking, more comfortable than watching it in my own home!

Went with 9 friends to see Overcomer. Bought tickets ahead of time to avoid sold out theaters. Seats are very comfortable and you dont feel like you are sitting too close to strangers. Thank you for not putting this movie in the back 40.I would caution you to be careful of the movies you preview during a family movie .

Its a comfortable theater with great sound systems and great quality overall. Some places are a little bit messy from popcorn and such but thats to be expected with a popular theater. Its definitely a great choice if you are wanting to enjoy a night at the movies.

Comfortable power recling seats. Chicken tender basket was ok. The fries were really good. Foe the movie the sounds was amazing and great quality picture.

My kids and I had a blast. The movie we went to see was broken but they made it right and we saw a different, and much better movie. The staff was excellent, the facility wad better than I remember. I love the new reclining chairs, makes it feel like you are sitting at home in your living room.

All was clean and comfortable. Perfect place for a date night.

I enjoy going to the movies. Unfortunately, Showplace seems to feel they need to blast you out of the theater. The volume doesnt need to be that loud . I tried talking to one of the employees and was told they are not allowed to turn the volume down.

We do not like your policy of assigned seats. It slows the admission process terribly while people pick out seats. The worst part is that people do not sit in their assigned seats. This is the second time someone was sitting in our seats. It is terribly uncomfortable to ask someone to move. We hate that you put us in that position. We will avoid this theater when possible.

My 2 star rating is based on the food. Theater is great & price is fair but my food was not good! I ordered the French Dip and my sub literally had 3 pieces of roast beef. Half of the sandwich was bread only...I have a picture and will post if it’ll let me!!! The au jus sauce was ice cold. The fries were fine.

Sests werent clean, leftover trash wasnt cleaned. Food service was quick and good. Not a bad one !!

Picked standard viewing. Theyve remodeled. Nice chairs! Pick your own seats.... So if you want your favorite spot, better reserve it. The atmosphere hasnt changed, its still the same as it was 30 years ago. Staff is not super friendly, just ho-hum. Dont like the lobby...too jammed. We walked in to purchase our tickets and there was no elbow room! So either go when not busy and buy in advance, buy on line, or expect close quarters and you may not find a great seat.

This movieplex is casual and fun, with a good staff, and very helpful and kind management. We come here with multiple people needing wheelchair assistance, and staff always hop up to hold doors and help out

The screens are large and the seats are comfy. Concessions are expensive as you might expect, but Id expect cleaner atmosphere for the prices. AMC is much cleaner in comparison, but is a longer drive. They need to give this place a much needed cleaning.

I used the Royal suite today because the other theater they were using to show Downtown Abby was almost full. I enjoyed the film but the seats were uncomfortable and I was ignored by all the servers. I was a little disappointed because Ive never been to the Royal Suite before and I wasnt entirely sure how to order or get a servers attention.That being said the seats at AMC are a lot more comfortable.

Well it was ok. The movie was good and the food was fine, but the cleanliness looses two stars. The seats were disgusting and sticky with peices of candy in every crevice.

Freaking amazing. My wife and I were able to get tickets and meals for $45 total. The seats reclined and were extremely comfortable. Best place to go see a movie by far.

Maybe closer to 4.5 stars, but an enjoyable experience. Like the new revamped menu, club sandwich was delicious with the pesto mayo. Little disappointed they did away with the fried green beans. Waitress was very friendly. Definitely worth a date night!

Its a movie theater. Not much to say about that.They dont clean in between shows very well. The last 4 times Ive been, there was sticky stuff and popcorn all over the seats.The Royal part of it is ok for what it is, over priced drinks and average food.The iMAX is the redeeming factor here. Its an amazing experience in my opinion and I recommend it for anyone!

Great seats. Picture and sound were excellent. Concessions are horribly overpriced. Even just for one person youll easily pay more for concessions than your ticket.

We always like to have a burger and drink before our movie, but today we werent even sure we could. No entrance tothe bar from the outside anymore and no signage on the inside. We just happened to find it after wondering down a hall. Looks like a great way for the business to lose money.

Service was slow, employees seemed interested in anything but the customers. Wasnt even a busy night. Myself and 2 others in the bar area and still took 10 minutes to get a drink. Get your act together over there and hire some people who want to work

This is our go to Cinema. Its usually clean people are friendly and parking is ample. Many times we will go for just a movie and some popcorn other times we will indulge in the dinner theater. They have a very nice theater where they actually serve you dinner while you watch the movie. Prices are fair as compared to other movie theaters.

We really appreciate Showplace Cinemas offering $5 movies on Tuesdays. We look forward to our Tuesday night out at the movies at least once a month. The theater is clean and the new Lounge recliners are comfy.

We watch the avengers end game in 3 D it was awesome experience my husband loved it.
