Nice hike wonderful views strategic Boulders along the way for us old people to sit down to have a little break
Love this hike! This defiantly felt it was made for me. Wild flowers all over. Boulders and beautiful views!
Great exercise with a couple of different trails to take!
Interesting to observe recovery from the fires. Spring flowers are starting to come out
Nice trail to escape the urban hustle and bustle. If your looking to hike without 200 people on the trail this is your spot, same views as Iron Mountain without the crowd. Bring ample water and avoid if over 90 degrees. Dont leave valuables in your car.
Good walk great views
Cool to see this area recovering from a burn. Lots of diverse wildflowers and plants coming up. Native green vines branching across the remains of previous shrubs. We tried North Clevenger Trail first but turned around after following creek upstream for a little bit (too much technical bouldering when we wanted a relaxing hike).
Great views. Relatively easy hike. Wonderful smell of sage. Beautiful Oak grove. Very helpful ranger. Good for horses and people that look out their window while driving from Scripps Poway Pkwy to the 78 and yean to hike because its so gorgeous.
Super trail. Mostly up all the way but nice flowers and trail can be followed as you can see the dirt trail. A bit overgrown but its regrowth from when a fire came thru last year. 2.2 miles one way. Bring snack and water. Early is better. Id imagine weekends this place is busy. Limited parking.
Chairs at the top of the rocks were good. Great views and food hiking trails with friends.
One of my favorite hiking trails in Escondido. A bit washed out in places, but very nice. Lots of wildflowers in late winter and spring.
Great work out with amazing views!
Spring is a wonderland on this trail. We walked through at least 10 different species of flowers in full bloom. Magical.
There is a lot of broken glass in the beginning of the trail which made me worry for my dog’s paws but once you get up the ridge a bit it goes away. No garbages also means there is a lot of dog poo along the trail (why can’t people just flick it off the trail with a stick?). Pretty nice hike at first and it dips into a lovely canyon with bridges over a couple dried up creek beds. Took us about a 30 minutes to clear two ridge tops. We also almost stepped on a horny toad lizard coming back down! And there is even a little parking lot. We will be back for sure.
One of my favorite hikes. A great 2 mile workout up to one of the bests vistas around. If you go to the end of the trail total hike is 4.3 miles roundtrip.
There are better hikes north of the roaD.
A great little trail that leads to an unexpected rest spot at the top with large chairs embedded in concrete. Good views.
A nice hike up to the South Clevenger Canyon Chairs! The trail is well marked and fairly well maintained (some erosion in the middle of the trail due to runoff, nothing impassible).
Beautiful hike with great views and a fun destination with chairs mounted on a rock. However, the trail was literally covered in poop and toilet paper. It was disgusting.
Beautiful place!
Great trail! Kids loved the view from the balcony.
Beautiful flowers, not busy
Looks like spring
Beautiful hike
