Beautiful architecture and lots of little stores to peruse. A very special little place.
Good attempt at reviving the smaller stores that comprise the charm of Old Ellicott City after the floods. Please support our local community
I love the city, their streets and stores. It is a very pinterest place. Hope in a near future to find a nice place to live. Also like the malls around. They have all kind of stores.
Cute town with boutiques and non chain restaurants
Love the great shops and great places to eat. Love walking around and enjoying the beauty of the area
Awesome place to check out some old history... Its had a bit of a rough patch with the floods but they finally seem to be taking the issue seriously and are working to make sure the business are there to stay!
Beautiful place just bring sneakers and prepare for some hills. We went to a music festival and it was very fun.
Total symbol of Reconstruction! This town has survived a major flood. Please stop in and support the local businesses. They need our help. Its a nice place to stop by have a drink or meal, buy, and visit to learn about a resilient town and its residents.
Really nice day spent shopping in the stores along main street. Got some unique decorations, cool book and more. Cafe we went to was really good. Visitor center was minimalistic but still quite good. Most of the shop owners or staff were very friendly and attentative. I highly recommend.
Such an incredible historic place. The brick and stone buildings that have been standing for centuries are really cool. Lots to do. Great memories made coming here.
Many shops/restaurants stiil havent opened, hopefully they will be able to recover. Still an amazing historical/cultural spot worth a visit.
I grew up down here. Its a sense of community that you feel when you walk down here which Ive never felt anywhere else. Its unfortunate about the flooding but theres nowhere to go but forward. Every time I visit since Ive moved Ive seen changes that make me happy knowing that this place is still here and still making memories. I want this place to keep growing back and being the hub of activity its always been. It will never be the same as I remember it in my childhood(even though on only twenty three) but change is always happening and Im excited to see whats in store. #ECSTRONG
A beautiful town! Flooding has disturbed the towns architecture a bit but they rebuild and is as beautiful as ever!
Old Ellicott City is bouncing back from its latest flood. The local community has a lot of love for this part of town and work hard to keep it alive. The shops, restaurants and community events are all slowly but surely popping back out.
A few stores have not reopened or new ones come in to replace. A few stores still working on recovering and trying to open soon. Some new shops and restaurants in the area. Things are looking good in downtown Old Ellicott City. Even have a small park and some trails to walk around.
Loving the fact were in walking distance to the shops and businesses
Its so cool. I really enjoyed walking around.
GOD BLESS HISTORIC ELLICOTT CITY!!! My children and I have years of memories there.
Beautiful despite the floods. They are rebuilding and stores are great. Record store is fun to see and reminisce about the vinyls you had.
Cute little town. Enjoyed architecture.
There is everything here! Fun place to spend an hour or two! Great place to walk and shop and eat!
Such a cute little shopping town, I got lunchel with my family then walked around.
Historical town nestled in a river valley with trailhead of the Baltimore to Ohio Railroad. The quarried-stone architecture is from 1700-1800s ( 1600s too?). Stop in at the visitors center for background in transition from tabacco to grain mill town. Syriana cafe is YUMMY!!!
Very quaint little clown great food all kinds of shops sidewalk paintings great way to spend a day
Glad to live in a historic city with it beauty of hills, trees, and land

Ellicott City took a tremendous hit from the flood. The townsfolk are not timid. They are making a better, stronger come back. I really look forward to seeing it.
Ellicott is a lovely place to visit during all types of weather. The shops are cute, fairly well priced and have tons of interesting finds from antiques to food and souvenirs.Midnight madness, held in December, is a lovely and crowded event that is sure to bring the holidays into your heart.

Its a shame. The flooding definately changed it.
