Got it was greeted with a nice welcome. Then sat at the bar and had some bomb a$$ food. The catfish with the side order of macaroni and cheese with the yams was ON POINT. The atmosphere was great everyone was there to have a good time. It was plenty of dancing and the live band was just setting up around 8 ish. Will most certainly be going back to try more of the delicious food.

The venue was perfect for our event. Lots of open area for a large size crowd. Have been here prior for the same annual event. Would gladly come back for other events!

Kudos to Mr. Bert. Berts is a gem in the city for downtown nightlife! The venue was great for stage view and table placement. The murals were phenomenal. Tonight was a fundraiser with donations of love and support. Over 15 of Detroit well known talent came out in support.

Saw the Maintenance Men there, show was awesome and location is great!

Ordered through door dash and you all need to see how they sent 2 orders of burnt pork chops to my house. Not a little burnt but burnt! Called and no one answers the line. This terrible that you are getting over on people during this pandemic!

Bert’s is the go to place for great soul food and live jazz. Definitely a Detroit staple. The Mac & cheese and pound cake are some of the best. And the food is good no matter what you order, from the catfish, barbecue and fried chicken. During the summer its great place to sit outside and vibe to the music or go inside and hear some of detroit’s finest musicians play. Often Bert himself is there to greet you!

It was terrible there is no parking security, my vehicle window was broken out, all for a back pack! And the place was cold, its the middle of winter and its air blowing in the place half the people sitting with coats on. And this all happened in the name of charity event for the lions 100 year old anniversary.

I love the atmosphere but I honestly dont like the food. I have been there many times. Listen to me some good jazz. I wait an hr or more on food & then the food is disgusting..... Smh, maybe it just me but I doubt it.

I have never heard of this place. Not familiar at all. Dont know what they offer at all. When I called they picked up phone 1st time and hung up. I called back asking about reservations for a table said 6 to7 and no more than 10. The guy rudely interrupted me say you keep giving me different numbers. I told him that is ok o didnt like his attitude. Today is my bday and he ruined it. Tears with his rudeness. Someone recommended this place to me. Thank you anyway. Customer Service is key to a business.

Plenty of options for dinning and entertainment. Casual and elegant! Inside and out. Some shopping available. Go to the website and check out all the events thats going on. Friendly and a fun place to be!

The food was bad and they dont have the air conditioning on, so it was very hot.

I wish I could say something nice about this black owned business, but I cant!!!! My girl had her event here for the first time last night and as soon as I walked in the door, it was instantly hot!!! They didnt have the air together, claiming either a rear door was left open or forgot to charge the air system!! Either way, still unacceptable!! Then, the restroom was filthy and one of the commodes wasnt working and it was burning up in the restroom. They have horrible service and the staff is rude as all get up and their drinks are not only only watered down. They refill their premium liquor with well liquor, this is not only against the law, it made me severally ill. They dont have a set charge for drinks, as they charged two separate prices for the same drink!!!! Lastly, they have the worst food ever as not only is the kitchen nasty, this place has rats!!!! I will never spend a dime here, will only support my girl for her event!!!!! I pray they get it together for the publics safety!!!

Its a cool place to hang with your friends not your bf or gf. Its a party atmosphere on one side and a bar on the other.

This is a great old venue with loads of Detroit history. A true survivor. Dont miss karaoke on Saturdays and in the summer, Chef Mark working the best smelling corner in Detroit!Also dont miss the wall in the outside seating area.

I really enjoyed myself, nice atmosphere. It was hard to find a parking spot close. So be early.

The best entertainment in town. Food.. hit or miss (My pork chops tonight are greasy and my mac & cheese has barely any cheese and very tasteless). If it was based on entertainment only, I would have given 5 stars

Berts warehouse is a great place for entertainment love it. But trying to get service is hard, they need to hire more help. I would recommend Berts to friends. I remember them when they owned the store around the corner from on Jeffersons back in the day.

Berts is the best place to visit when coming to Detroit. I brought my family today because I love the food and noticed karaoke is available. The karaoke host is very rude and not friendly at all. Messed up a great day but we are waiting for our fabulous food to make up for it

Went here for an after party, lines were extremely organized, not enough bathrooms for the amount of people there. Overall was a decent venue, the set up was on point just needed more organization for the event!

Have come there two years in a row, not a regular as it appears a lot of the people are, and can never find a seat. All the tables at the front half are reserved with cards or there is one person sitting at a table holding eight other seats. We get there early enough to get a closer seat but cant because they are being held for people that come way after we have gotten there. Ended up sitting in a couple of rows of chairs with no table. After a couple hours we saw extra tables being set up for others and my gentleman asked if we could possibly have one. Eventually a guy did bring a table and all of us that were sitting in the chairsused it. Thinking about not getting any more tickets. Seating is not fair.Womens bathroom was a nightmare too. Couldnt use it because floor was drenched. Dont know from what. Line was long as Grand River! Women started using the mens restroom.I had to leave the Theatre side and walk outside to the restaurant side to use the ladies room. There was a line there too. Horrible!!!

Good food. Good entertainment. Amazing family owned business. True vibe of Motowns aura.

I was alittle disappointed. Stood in the buffet line for 30 minutes waiting to eat. Instead of setting up two buffet tables so more people could get their food quicker. They only set up one. Bad idea with a group that big.

Unlike any place else! We always have a wonderful experience at Berts! Its a great venue for some fantastic shows. They have a friendly staff and great food served late.

Food was absolutely terrible. It taste like poison. I ordered jerk chicken (no real flavor outside the skin), yams (it was basically a peeled yam, again zero flavor), Mac and cheese (I literally thought it was going to kill me), cornbread (awful) and greens (zero flavor and still tough). I paid $27 for dog food. Even my dog was skeptical. Shame

Been there a few times and usually have a great time. But last nights server was disappointing. She took a few cigarette breaks and you could smell the smoke every time she came back. Wasnt sure she washed her hands after. My friend wanted to start a tab so she could buy a round of drinks for some other people and server said she couldnt do it. Top was added in already for on two people. Server did not deserve that much. She picked up fork off plate set it on table tried to take plate away without asking if I done. Cant remember her name. Older white woman with nose ring.

Restrooms lacking cleanliness and for the crowds that come there are not enough. There is a raised floor at back by the bar that is dangerous. When room is full they dont have anything around the raised flooring causing people to trip and even fall. Be careful. Sound is okay.

I came for a Movement Festival afterparty and while the music and sound was great, the room was way too packed and a bottle of water cost $8!!!!! I thought I heard him wrong.. absolutely insane.

Berts Club the entertainment was awesome but the food was not as good as it used to be the desert either I was really really disappointed but the entertainment was great

Worst service of food and drink Ive ever had. They need lights around the bar. Didnt see it in the dim. The bartender only stares at you. U didnt know whether to ask him for a drink or wait for someone else. The servers never came to my table area to ask if we wanted drinks or food. I finally hot up to get my own drink and request wings. Passed the waitress on the way, she stated she would put in my order. Where was I sitting? I told her booth right near window. 30 minutes later I got up again to check on my order. Passed my waitress. oh I forgot to put order in. I can put it in now. wasnt really busy either. Unbelievable. First time. Never again.

They had outside seating, very good servicing staff, the food was good, buy not great... D.j. played music made this place a very great place to eat and to unwind my day, thank you Berts for s peaceful night

Love, Love, Love the setup outside!! The food was good but missing a star because my smoothered pork chops was too salty & the yams tasted like can yams & I need them not to even when they are loĺ. My husbands bacon burger otoh looked great & tasted even better! I love that their kitchen was open and they were prompt! Peach cobbler was ok not my mamas but handled our sweet tooth! Keep up the great job Black people!

My sister sings down there on Saturdays 1-5pm. On Saturday u can also get lots of good veggies, fruit and flowers reasonable

It was Jeans and Moet night and the place was so packed and HOT. They need to make sure the air conditioner is on when a party or event is happening.

Completely unprepared, lack of any organization, line wrapped three city blocks and moved slower than a Caterpillar in the winter. Never again, really sad we didnt get to experience dirty bird here. Save your money.

Un organized event. No runing water.. its detroit alright. Just wish got more for my money..

This place was horrible in more ways than just one! The event was dinner and dancing. The dinning area was so crowded and tables on top or one another I felt like a sardine. Im confused why they did not use the space on either side of the dinning area, which had another twenty feet or more of wasted space. They did not turn off the old florescent lighting from an old warehouse during dinner and through out the entire event. The DJ had his own little show, which was over shadowed by the warehouse florescent lights. So you missed the light show with the music. This also leads into the next disappointment for the venue. Berts Warehouse does not have any kind of sound suppression in the building. While the DJs music is playing, the music is just bouncing off the walls the floor everything in the place. Which means sound quality is so poor it would be better to be in a cave. Of course the DJs solution for that is to pump up the volume? If you were planning to dance at this event, I would not recommend it because old Berts Warehouse was to give you two dance areas. One up front of the dinning area for those whom want to be close to the stage and music, theres just a little warning, the floor is concrete! The other dance floor is a natural wood grain look, interlocking vinyl topped tiles made from Polypropylene, which happen to split open in different spots on the floor as you guested it. Great for high heel shoes to be caught into, which put a halt to dancing the rest of the night.The food was good and the service from the staff was great!
