Im at the famous Bakers Lounge on a GrubHub run and as usual I am star struck somewhat. The ambience and memories I have from both being here and reminded of old pleasurable times with friends, family, and loved ones.I cant wait until things get stable and we can emerge again and show both strength and reserve. I love Bakers Lounge and Im proud to see you guys still going!

I had a turkey dinner. Why was my turkey shredded like pulled turkey covered in flavorless gravy? I wanted cut turkey not shredded. Greens tasted like they cooked in water no seasonings. Mac n cheese looked good tased like nothing! Portion size was small. I love corn bread dressing this dressing needed a lot of help.

Great first experience here. The place has an excellent reputation so I was excited to go. The atmosphere was relaxed and full of good vibes. Pictures of musical greats who have performed there throughout the years lined the walls. They have lots of booths and a good amount of seating with an excellent view of the stage. The service left plenty to be desired in terms of speed and responsiveness of our waitress. She was at least polite. The live music eased most of that tension and didn’t ruin a pretty cool experience here.I ordered the catfish with yams and collard greens. The catfish literally melts in your mouth. The portion sizes were pretty decent. Both the yams and the greens were on point. It was an excellent meal.I’ll be back.

The only good thing about ordering food from bakers keyboard lounge on this particular day was that the order was ready when I got there the food was disgusting I have never been so disappointed in my 30 years of going to bakers keyboard lounge to eat. I have never eaten food that did not have no flavor at all it was just unreal I couldnt tell one item from the other it was so bland I was extremely disappointed and I will not be going back to eat

Most of the menu items were unavailable. The carryout serving sizes are laughable, the prices are outrageous. I didnt mind paying because my experience with Bakers has always been pleasant in the past. That must be the difference between dining in and ordering carryout. The fried wings had no seasoning, my baked potato was undercooked, there were only 5 green beans in my dinner. the peach cobbler was watery and ice cold! the baked chicken was brick hard and bone dry- I didnt even want baked chicken but they were out of meatloaf, porkchops, and fish of any kind. I paid almost $70 to be disappointed and hungry. Guess Im headed to Taco Bell. The yams were good, though!

The food is good, however, youll get grey hairs waiting on it. I only gave 2 stars because of the food. The guy at the door is a bully. Ive watched him be so mean and unprofessional towards patrons at the door. The last time I went was my last time. We waited so long for our food we just gave up. When we the waitress we were leaving, she said oh your food is next up. Huh? We were there over an hour waiting! Youll wait forever just to get a water when youre 1st seated. The staff will not check up on you to see if you need a water or a refill or even ask how the food is. I love supporting black businesses you they need to shut down for a day and RE-TRAIN THEIR STAFF on customer service!!

First they were out of fries, then they were out of the alcohol I wanted but told me that 30 mins later. They told us they were out of tilapia 40 mins after ordering it. The food finally arrived and you can tell the mashed potatoes were sitting for a bit. We still didn’t have our drinks. When they finally came, mine was fine, but my boyfriend’s $5 coke was FLAT! We heard this place was fantastic from so many people, so this was a huge disappointment.

What a fun evening experience this is! The music was absolutely incredible, top notch musicians and the vocalist was very talented. Interior is fun, you may share a table with strangers (which is great, talk to someone new). The dining style is very much soul food, everything was delicious. I ordered the smothered pork chops, tasty and a huge portion. My only complaint is that the drinks werent very good. We ordered a few cocktails. The mixing was not great, and they were definitely on the high end price-wise. I dont feel this denotes 4 stars, because Bakers is a blast and we will surely be back.

This is a neat little spot that serves amazing portions of food and has great live musical from local and international jazz musicians. The parking lot and restaurant will fill up surprisingly fast on Friday night, so make reservations. If you dont mind sitting close, talking to someone you dont know and have minty breath Bakers is perfect for you, a 1st date and date nights. They have live entertainment primarily Jazz musicians and singers from all over the country. On Wednesdays they have Karaoke from 5pm-8pm no cover charge. However, there may be one on other nights, I have paid to get in before so bring $5-$10 just in case and $3 for parking in the lot. The food is very good. Ive tried the meatloaf, smothered pork chops, loaded potatoe, and catfish dinners...all were great! The menu is Soul food be sure to order collard greens, blackeyed peas & rice & yams, with your wings. The ambiance is low lights, romantic, relaxing, entertaining, enjoyable, memorable. Oh, drinks are reasonably priced and if you order Crown Royal youre gonna get Crown Royal.

Have a wonderful band “Imminent Vibrations” on Sunday. We went at 5pm, the band plays till around 7-730 and there is no cover. Lisa was our waitress and she was pleasant enough. The food is decent. Had the meatloaf, mac and mashed potatoes. Portion was on the smaller side, but the meat loaf was delicious and so was the mashed with gravy. Boyfriend had the liver and gizzards, he found them a bit on the salty side. The mac was just okay, neither of us finished it.Seating is small and a bit cramped, but I found it cozy and intimate.

We came here for a family member’s Birthday party. It’s sort of tightly space (sort of stereotypical long standing Jazz spots) and we did arrive late, so we were not able to sit with our Party! Had some difficulties with one of the waitresses, but ended up being accommodated by the Manager on duty for the night. The table was nasty I had to clean it off because some liquid stuff was all on my arm. We had to moved to a better seating area.
