Outstanding! Yassss an amazing place where you dont even need to leave! This was better than Disneyland. Google I said it. Dont go anywhere else. The attractions has all 3 of my kids entertained for 3 days. Ages 2, 4, & 6! I highly recommend coming to Great Wolf Lodge and stay

Mystic Waters Family Aquatic Center is a great place to take the family for a day. We like it so much we have yearly passes; these pay for themselves after 3 visits. The place is great for toddlers through elementary school.

Restoration of the Hermitage changed it from a historical Gran Dame to an overdone Hollywood starlet. The bumps and bruises on Fairylands attractions are what gives it character. If you clean up something too much it undermines the overall effect-the gestalt- of the object. Please keep the patinated charm of Fairyland .

Went here when visiting my sister who lives in the area . She has a pass allowing 30 minute early entry as a des Plaines resident .The park was clean and well maintained. Need to work on the staffing though. The platform dive and Im not sure what theyre called by the park but really fast short slides were both shut down once the park opened to everybody at 11 am .The landscaping was nice in most of the park except for the area in between the lazy river. Seems like a waste to have such an expansive area just covered in weeds . There has to be a local gardening club or even master gardener that would love to give that area a makeover and make it into an area of interest instead of weed city .I would definitely come back again if in the area .

One of the larger publicly-owned pool complexes in the area. Admission fees are reasonable and the facilities are generally pretty good. They have a lazy river and multiple water slides. Parking is ample. My only gripe is that the crowd tends to be a bit rough sometimes.

Very clean, has a lazy river with 4 slides and lots of life guards plus lots of space. They also have a big water play area for little kids. We loved it. Not bad price either. $14 adult for non resident of Des Plaines & $12 for kids. 2 years and younger are free. Oh and you can bring in coolers and your own food no extra charge.

It was a great water park that was local in the staff was very friendly.

It is an amazing place and is a great place to spend around 2-3 hours with friends and/or family on a boring day. However, I personally rated it 4 stars because it doesnt have proper rooms for changing clothes and you have to shut the door of a toilet which is really dirty. Once you go through every ride and activity, there is not much to do onwards. Thats why I would rather go to a park that is probably smaller in size but has better facilities. That is all I could share for you guys! Cheers and hope you enjoy over there as I already said and will again say it is an amazing place.

Pretty organized and big enough to have fun with friends. Tickets are extremely cheap. I went with 5 other friends and we had fun all day. There’s so much to do in here.

I like Mystic Waters, definitely more pros than cons.I will start with cons: Bathrooms need to be redone, no changing rooms where you actually can change. Also, should be cleaned thruout the day.pros: pool area clean, many options for different ages, guards alert and well trained, cafe decent priced for pool.

Clean, well trained staff. Considering the bus loads of campers the park was well controlled. I really like the fact you could take a cooler in.

Me and my grandsons had a great time. We played in the water and grabbed a bite to eat in their restaurant which, was not over priced at all.

When my family and I first got here, we waited in line for almost an hour. Then it was ok, but now the pool is way to crowded, you cant even move. Absolutely ridiculous.

Good place to spend a good day with the family, they let you pass food but you can not have it in the pool area there is a special area to eat and keep the cooler or what you take to eat everything very well!

The staff was nice. There was a little bit of everything for everyone. Everyone had something to do.

I visited this place on weekends and it was very crowded, and water in lazy river was dirty. The life guards were very good, alerted and friendly. In general nice place to go, but maybe during the week.

The pool is ok but they have great drop slides and concessions for a good price.

Great actual facilities and lifeguards who appear vigilant. The cafe where limited food is available is yucky or I would have given the place 5 stars. Apparently they ran out of hotdogs yesterday, and still did not get any as of todays lunch. Our soft pretzel was hard as a rock. Prices were very fair, but fir sure, other than ice cream or drinks, Id say skip the food here! The picnic area is very nice and it is a fun day with lots of options for water lovers of all types and levels! Chairs are few, so be prepared to not have one! But, if youre in the pool anyway, do you really need one? Great visit overall!! Wish an area closer to us had these options!

Fun water park with lazy river, diving platforms, waterslides, and main pool area. Just wish the main pool was larger with a bigger deep area but still lots of fun and refreshing!

Im going back in a couple of weeks, looks like fun!

The staff is very Helpful and always working. The facilities were nice and we like the food too, not too expensive. Some of the kids that were there acted like animals towards the staff. I watched one kid throw water at a life guard and then swear at her. I’m still wondering why these kids were allowed to stay there. When you don’t do anything about certain behaviors in public that tells the kids you will just keep tolerating it. Then these kids took off running wildly through the grass like animals. I wish they would of thrown these kids out!

The staff was friendly and helpful. I have a son with special needs and they were accommodating and understanding. The only downside is that they did not give me my military discount the cashier was not sure the appropriate discount and rather than ask he just didnt give it

This facility is a health hazard. The locker room is filled with dirty diapers, toilets over flowing with diarrhea and paper, razors on the shower floor, mold on walls and curtains and garbage on the floors. Curtains are hanging off hooks. Not all showers work. No privacy in the showers at all. Staff is rude and does not control the kids jumping off the sides onto people. Food is terrible and burnt. I went to buy two ice cream cones at $2 each. I thought they were $1. I didnt have enough cash so the teen working there made me leave one which he threw away. I wrote a letter to park administrators and was never answered. We went to Adler pool in Libertyville which is very clean. Staff came in the locker room with buckets of disinfectant and hosed the locker room down. Not so at Mystic. Chippewa is maintained much better also. Save your money and go to another pool.

Be warned if you have small kids under 5!! I would have loved to give this place a much higher review. Unfortunately from the moment we approached the gate to enter we were told strollers are not allowed inside the facility. (We have an 11 month old so that makes things very difficult).Then we entered and were told no toys or floaties of any kind are allowed in the water... and the older kids were not allowed to use arm floats!.. only life jackets.Anyway as the day went on we were constantly dealing with more and more rules that turned a wonderful water park into a terrible experience.We ended up making the best of our experience but will definitely not return to this aquatic center anytime soon.

I love this water park. Have plenty of water fun.You can bring your cooler with drinks and food. Also theres a concession place to get snacks. Not too pricey.

Fun place for everyone. Large slides, sand pit, splash pad with mini slides, zero depth pool, lazy river. No strollers allowed and no pool toys either. It can definitely draw a crowd, but lifeguard and staff are on top of it. The concession food choices are limited and a bit basic, but you can bring in a full size cooler for $3. We ate the hot dog, chicken tenders, nachos and pizza and it was good. Concession lines strung mandatory breaks are INSANE so try to get food before that time. Itd be nice if they offered more chairs for sitting/lounging.

Were here with a company of friends last weekend. We received a lot of positive emotions. Its good that we have such an aquapark in our city.

This place is precious! Small but very enjoyable. If I lived here, I would definitely come by all the time. Very clean and the lifeguards are so attentive to the kids (and adults) swimming.

Nothing much to do. Was expecting more slides for kids and adults.

Held my sons bday party of 25 guest and staff were so courteous and very accommodating. Very well run, adequately staffed life guards and super clean.

Good waterpark but has been decaying lazy river has trees over it good for shad but FULL of leaves and bugs most all of the water pressure systems in the lazy river are broken and the park needs a rebuild.

This Place is so beautiful, Pretty, Large and Cool! But why 4 stars? Its because they wont let me use our noodies or many pool stuff.

Easy to enjoy with kids young and old. Great picnic area. Pack your own lunch and get treats and drinks there. Went on a cloudy day and it was empty.

Best day at mistic waters

This waterpark has lots of features for every age group. There is a great 0 depth with slides and fountains for the little ones. There is a sand play area, lazy river, regular pool, older kids area, and some slides. There are grassy picnic areas with cover from the sun where people can bring their own coolers. Its a very nice place to go.

Lazy river is fun but so many bugs, grass, etc in it. Oh well .

Great water park for family. Needs to pay a lot more attention to the cleanliness of the bathrooms and, in general, the locker-rooms.

Love this place. My only wish is they do more restroom by the cafeteria.

This center doesnt allow strollers, so I didnt go in. I will plan to go to Heritage in Arlington Heights instead, which allows strollers.

Very clean waterpark with lots of activities. It is not very large though but it has 2 slides, 4 diving boards, lazy river, and 2 pools.

Its a pretty okay water park, I think its over priced though, especially for non residents. Ive paid less to get into water parks that had wave pools and what not... Probably wont go back unless Im an official resident, or its a twilight swim.

This was a horrible experience for me, my friends and family. There was a lot of in convinces and it took time away from our water park time ranging from 30 to 10 minutes, and yes we understand that you cant control it but some just seemed on purpose and also I went to go on my phone outside I have a stamp on my hand which should be placed down with sharpie, but anyway when I come back I cant come in and I legit wanted to get my money back it was a terrible service.

Great place to take the kids, while still an easy drive from Chicago. This is a bit of a hidden gem. Its not Wolf Lodge, or 6 flags, but it has 2 fun water slides, lazy river tubing, pool, and spray lot, no long lines, and room to enjoy the facilities. Great for toddlers through tweens, or just chillaxin adults. Not free, but not expensive either. We will go back.

Great for kids 3-10, I think the teens will be ok here too.

Not baby friendly at all! The fact that strollers are not alowed, practically leaves moms with babies with no other choice but to turn around and leave! If you are ready to carry everything in two hands - car seat ect, then you might want to try it out. But beware, if there is no shade in the kid friendly area, do not try to search for it elsewhere - you will be asked to leave!I did some research on public pool laws, and I am getting ready to contact the management. It is not for safety reasons the strollers are not allowed but for capacity and their income! Put together, it is simply a school example of discrimination.

Ive gotten banned 6 times, which is the greatest thing ever! (The only things we did to get banned was run in the lazy river and go down the big slide with multiple people at the same time multiple times. No one was hurt.)

Nice park yes, with lots to do. However, lots of people, and I couldnt believe the amount of kids just cutting to the front of lines. I had to stop numerous rude children from cutting my 8 year old and I. Feral children!!
