This park is beautiful in every season, and always full of people enjoying themselves. Theres a great playground my daughter likes to play on and a nice walk around the lake to get exercise. We go whenever we can!

Jogging paths run around the east side, where a band shelter is located amongst picnic tables and grills, exercise stations and a playground. The southern end has a volleyball sand pit.

Good place for younger aged kids. My 8 year old was bored pretty quickly. However my 5 year old, with some developmental delays, was able to navigate everything and actually participated instead of walking around like he usually does. The lake is beautiful with ducks and paddle boats as well.

The lakeside trail is lovely and I wish it went all the way around the lake. Around the lake is a small marina, playground, tons of open grassy space, and a par three golf course. Its a nice little spot for a view.

Fishing is good. Was anyway. The option to rent a boat helps a lot. The variety of fish I caught there was pretty remarkable for Chicagoland.

Lake Opeka is great. You can rent Kayaks, paddle boats, even canoes. you can go fishing, rent out the pavilion for 12 hours, have your kids go to the park... its all fun.

Always feel peaceful but nice walking path and ducks. Plenty to enjoy and relax.

Very pretty but didnt get a bite while fishing

This park was very serene and good for walk, bike riding, barbecue, picnic etc. Friendly environments and neighborhood... cool breeze and nice lake scenery... also, you could fish as well if you wanted to...

Good place for anglers a good place for a short walk with a playground for children and a marina for water sports.

We came here quite often before pandemic. This time i have never seen so much litter around on the ground. People throw your own garbage away and especially your masks and gloves dont dispose of them on the ground for someone else to pick up!

It is a nice place but little parking I recommend getting there by other means of transport

This place is so chill but i admit i havent quite explored all of it. Also i wanna try paddle boat.

Des Plaines Fall Fest at Lake Park was great! Our first year attending. Its small, but $25 for unlimited rides for kids for 3 days is an amazing deal.$5 drink tickets for both beer and wine is also cheaper than most fests, so we were very heavy handed with our tip donations.People volunteering and visiting were very nice and friendly. Great band Modern Day Romeos were playing as we were leaving, cant wait to see them again.The lake itself is beautiful and many people were enjoying it outside of the fest. We will return!

Best park anywhere. Lots of wooded bench, tables, Trash bins, even barbecue grills. Playgrounds for the kids, water fountains, lots of free parking spaces. Paddle boating, kayaking. Lots of staff maintaining the premises.

Went fishing here for some Magikarp. Didnt catch as many as I wanted to, but I certainly didnt walk away empty handed. Magikarp will normally evolve into Gyarados at level 20. This can be circumvented however. A Magikarp can be a mean dude if you train it properly.

18 hole golf. Putter and 2 irons will do. Good for all ages and short game practice for the more experienced.

I come here often, sometimes daily. I usually walk the trail two to four times before heading out. Its very nice, the water is soothing, the atmosphere is calm, and I like seeing the lakes ecosystem. I also ride my bike here, they do have a bike lane on the path. It can get real occupied on some hot days but I dont mind. Its a lot more peaceful during the morning hours or the last hour before they close. Which is sunset basically, cops come and make sure everyone leaves before the sun sets. I know this because I would be here everyday in the summer till sunset and the days got shorter and short unfortunately lol. I also walk my dog here, theres other dogs that are walked here as well. The park has poles with dog bags on them in case you need to clean up waste and you forgot a bag. They have a playground for children too but I never go there, if you have kids theyll enjoy it. Theres bathrooms, benches, shaded areas, and grills too. The park also has a sand volleyball court, which is awesome and a major plus for me. Overall a very nice park, good place to exercise, walk your dog, and hang out with family or friends.

I would still suggest a mask while walking on the path....lots and lots of people!!!! Everyone seems to be practicing social distancing around the picnic tables and grassy areas though!!

Parking was a challenge!!I saw Generations and they were very good.I was surprised there were absolutely no bugs that I saw! Pretty great being that we were right next to a small lake!

Absolutely beautiful park. So peaceful. We love bringing the kids to play. I love that there are 2 parks, so lots of options for my 2 year old and 5 year old.

Always a fun time! Keep in mind its busier on weekends - duh - but there is usually somewhere to sit and take in the views, watch your kids at the park, etc. Also a really fun place to fish - especially with little dudes. This is also the park you will find the memorial for American Airlines flight 191 - although a very tragic and sad part of history, its history nonetheless and is worth taking a stroll by.

I love it hear as a pogo Player. Many stops and 4 gyms. Also a park for kids and there is a public bathroom. Also golfing and rental of boats. Walking path on one half of the Lake. Benches along the path. So a great place to hang out. Even able to cook food hear on grills.

I love this big park, sunsets are the best to watch here, they have canoes and you can rent one and spend a beautiful evening by the little lake. I have done birthday parties here too and everything is big and great!

This park has a come a long way from when I was a child. Added a playground with soft turf, plenty of play area to fly kites, walk along the path around a pond to fish, paddle boat or just enjoy some sun.

Came here for a company picnioc was wowed by the park. need time to unwind here is the place... dont forget to bring some bean bags as they have cement boards you can play on

If you park on west side..by boat landing. And golf course .you can see whole lake and watch planes. .if you park where the playground is..a totally different venue
