Good Park

This park has a lot of potential to be nice but it is not kept very well. The landscaping has gone down hill. When we went we were hoping to play on the playground but there were poking weeds everywhere, and many homeless people sleeping on all the benches.

Used to be a beautiful congregation of community love.Then the drugs and gang violence took root and blossomed into chaos.Now its beginning its rebirth of the old tradition of love and unity and community involvement.It is once again, a Good park

Looking at rental units in the area and came upon this park. City parks should be consistent of cleanliness and safety. People that visit parks usually see it and keep it the way they find it . Respect goes both ways. I seen dumped cans and glass around the tables and young men pillowing around like they owned the area. As I approached the center of the park could see the beauty of the place of course it needs more cover its a hot spot in the sun .Not a inner city park so why is it being neglected. Cmon people in the neighborhood take back whats yours and enjoy it.

What was going on in good park yesterday was a beautiful thing ( sisters and brothers) everbody having a splendid time free food and music, beautiful...

Didnt bother getting out of the car as we were looking for a fun sprayground, not just a spout of water.

I grew up at this park (so this hurts) and though they have made some changes to the water area it is still overlooked and I believe mishandled. Found glass and broken bottles in the sand by the swings... cmon Des Moines. Ive seen tons of parks since having kids and the inner city gets no love. I understand it takes dollars and effort but the fact it still has SAND shows its been a while since the city truly took a look at updating.

Swings are big enough for adults, too!

I love this park. But Im so upset that the babies have no shade around the equipment. How can they play on hot and sunny days if the equipment is so hot it could actually cause Burns and blisters???

Be better if it had a pinball machine

Great for kids, barbecue, pavilion, basketball court, tennis courts, open grassy area, swing sets, jungle gym.

Because my grandson has football practice there

If this park is maintained by the city parks department they should be ashamed of themselves . Bullet shells on the ground, grass hasnt been mowed in a while, broken glass and cigarette butts all over ground in the play area.
