First time going here. Very cool park. Tennis courts are nice. Its also painted for pickle ball. Two playgrounds with very modern equipment. Splash park in summers when no corona virus. Picnic tables. Awesome paved walking trail through the trees along the creek. Really nice tall trees all around. Covered area with bbq grill. Plenty of wide open space to fly a kite or hit some baseballs. Bathrooms when no corona virus. Overall a very neat park that anyone would love.

Great neighborhood park with walking trails, a creek, playgrounds, picnic shelter & modern restrooms! Early morning or evening, deer, coyote or other woodland creatures can be spotted in the woods.

Great trails. Be careful. Some are kinda steep and are crushed gravel and some is loose. Some deep ruts from heavy rain

This is amazing park in Beaverdale! It offers a great splash pool in the summer. The new playground equipment is unique and great! Its definitely worth a visit with the kids.

2 parks to play on and the splash pad was great. They usually have someone there Keeping an eye on things and checking the ph levels. The kids love the spray fountains. There is a few benches and picnic tables around the edge to sit at or have lunch. Quite a bit if trees around the edges too in case its super hot and needing a shaded spot to cool off.

A really nice park with a great splash pool! Lots of seating, and nice trees shading various seating spots.There are changing rooms, and a bbqing facility there. I believe you can book this through the Parks department.Sufficient parking, with a walkway up to the splash pool.Great, free spot to hang out with the kids!

One of my favorite neighborhood parks. Splash pad, playgrounds, bathrooms, shelter house. Great walking trails through the woods. Lots of deer and wildlife too.

Such a great place to take the kids in your life. The wading pool is awesome for the little ones! Maybe wear some sandals just in case, since its a public space!

Love the slides and swings. GREAT place to spend the day with Grandchildren.

The splash pad and park are great, my review is for the woman running it this evening. She shut the splash pad down at 625pm when the sign says it’s good until 7pm. She stated it takes a while to drain the pool so she shut it off early. I wouldn’t say the 7pm means “that’s when i go home” it would be that the splash pad is open until 7pm like the sign says. We came from Johnston, another family from Ankeny, wanted to have 30 minutes for our kids to play in the water and she didn’t care. Not cool

Nice little neighborhood park and wading pool.

Its a nice park especially for small children. They have a shallow pool with a couple of fountains on one end, very nice for toddlers and up to 6-7 year olds. They also have a small playground so while your kid is wet from the pool, they can get all muddy for the car ride home. My one complaint would be that their parking lot seems small - - we had to park on the street.

Needs bigger rest room. Only 1 other than that its great. Free splash pad. Lots of shade.

Its a small part good for taking your kids or dog there but not very good or many amenities. A good gem space in the middle of a residential party of town.

Best park in Beaverdale. Something for all ages.

The shelter house is a great place to have gatherings. We had our twins second birthday party there and the kids loved the close proximity to the play equipment.

Nice park but now temporarily closed for maintenance until Mid October 2019.

Oh this place is so fun! The play set is aging, but the picnic tables and splash pad are fantastic.

This park has a pretty great mix of play equipment for little kids and older kids. There is also a little wading pool for children to play in during the summer. My biggest problem with the park is that the bathrooms always seem to be locked. Which makes spending long amounts of time here difficult with children.

Ashby park is the best! Always pretty clean and the kids have a great time!

Great place brought my nephew but the hours are weird and the pool closed after 30 minutes of being there and that did not bode well with the little ones there.

We stopped here with three young kids during a road trip to MN. It was the perfect place to burn off energy and have a picnic!

So many things to do at this park! They have a small playground for little kids and a bigger one for the older kids. Plus there is a slash park with 4 fountains and a wading pool. Lots of kids but plenty of room to play. My 2 year old loved it. Also there are restrooms, a pavilion, plenty of shade and tables/benches.

This is our favorite splash pad on DSM. Pay close attention to the hours so you wont have disappointed kiddos.

Good park for a family outing.

This park is very clean and well maintained. It has a smaller play ground for toddlers and a larger one for bigger kids as well as a splash pad for the hot summer days. It also has a covered picnic table area with grills for barbecuing and a tennis court. The play areas are set away from the parking area and separated by a large grassy area. Its a very nice park and my children play here often.

Wading pool was refreshing, and clean. There are restrooms near by, along with a good size playground. There is plenty of shade surrounding the area. This is a great place for younger children

Best park for kids in Des Moines! There is a wading pool and fountains for kids to play. Safe areas around splash pad with 2 different playgrounds. Lots of benches and shaded spots, including shelter and restrooms. There is parking for about 15 cars otherwise, street parking is not lacking!

We love this park! There is play equipment for toddlers and older kids, which is nice. We love the spray pool and fountains to play in, and its nice to have the restrooms to change the kids in when they are done playing in the water.

Great park for kids! Grandson had 1st birthday party there and it is set up perfect for children.

Love Ashby Park. Theres a playground for the very small kids and a regular play area. In the summer there is a nice wading pool here too. Parking can be hard to find during busy times of the day.

Its perfect for kids 8 and under. A smaller and big play area and I love when the wading/splash zone is open.

Its a nice park, with two playgrounds and a splash pool but there is not enough parking and Google Maps takes you to a dead end on Ashby Rd which is on the other side of trees of the park.

The splash pad is amazing and so is all the playground equipment. Gorgeous park!

Kids love it great park

Two playgrounds, one for 2-5 year olds and one for 5+. Lots of trees for shade, and a great splash pad. Also it is clean and cared for. Running water and bathrooms too.

The best time ever. And it has great weekly hours. My daughter loves it!

Lots for kids to do, for all ages. Clean, lots of trees, even saw two deer down in the small ravine. Only complaint I really have is the lack of parking, which is why the 4 instead of 5 stars.
