HUGE! Like 7 blocks long plus I dont know how many side streets filled with vendors and live music everywhere. Yes, the freshest veggies youll find! But you can buy flowers, artisan jewelry, honey, many food trucks and food tents. I bought this huge basil plant here. You got about 2 more months to come and experience the best Farmers Market in the country.

One of the best farmers markets that i have been too. music, food, flowers, produce, and art. go early - like when they first open, because it gets crazy crowded with people after 9:00AM. I didnt take any pictures of the food from the food stands... But there are tons of the and everything looks delicious!

I love the November and December Farmers Market. Though I preferred the previous location, the 2019 market iwas very enjoyable. It would be 5 stars if they would limit strollers to umbrella type. Most parents were carrying children and using strollers as grocery carts.1 family had a stroller baby/bed combo the size of big box store grocery cart.

Such an amazing farmers market! We would drive 30 min every week to go, its huge and has everything. Must try croissants or scones and bread at La Mie, or a breakfast burrito and some coffee! Its got everything: produce, canned salsa/jams, cheese, wine, meats, honey, juice, bakeries, arts and crafts, music, dog treats, and so much more. Its clean, safe, tons of entertainment, and port-o-potties for families/littles. Great location in the middle of restaurants (as if u couldnt find deliciousness at the market itself), can walk the bridge across the river. Best farmers market weve ever been too, and weve lived in 9 states.

I find the most beautiful flowers and arrangements there, and always for a decent price! I will never buy flowers to put in a vase, at a grocery/department store again! To support local artists, farmers/growers, and small businesses is great for our community! Theres nothing like purchasing items from people who actually enjoy what they do. While listening to live music and eating as you go from stand to stand. ♡

The Des Moines Farmers Market is an experience. You have to go at least once to see if you like it. We do: the fresh produce, food stands, restaurants and bars open everywhere, the crowds of people, the well behaved dogs. It is a great place to pickup supplies for the week, grab breakfast and lunch, and the people watching is unbeatable. It is worth the hour drive, and the walking is what we would be doing anyway on a Saturday morning.

I love the market, literally. Love it. Best market I have been to, but until they stop allowing dogs, then I will discontinue giving my business to this market. I should not have to worry about avoiding canine fecal matter, a dog licking either my kid/food purchases/or me, and the dogs owners thinking it is funny or that I should just be ok with it. I am curious as to how dogs are even allowed as there is so much food around not only produce, but prepared food. Does the USDA/health inspector approve this? I was fine with it initially, but it seems that there are always those (and many at that) that abuse their rights.

This is a amazing, huge farmers market. There are lots of different options of vendors. It can get a little crowsed at times but that just shows the love people have for this event. Your sure to find something that you will like.Removed a star as there was a bathroom remodel company there. I dont feel this has a place in the market. The market should be held to food and art/craft vendors.

This is one helluva farmers market. Draws thousands upon thousands of shopper and fun-seekers. They close down many blocks of downtown streets and its huge. Food vendors of all sorts are selling their wares. Musician busk on multiple street corners. Its as much a happening as it is a farmers market. If youre in Des Moines, in season on a Saturday, go and see what an outstanding farmers market looks like. I live in the Fresno area, and Fresno County is one of the largest agricultural producers of food, yet has no decent farmers market. Fresno is also twice the population of Des Moines. Go figure.

More like the fair than a farmers market.
