Great swimming lessons for kids under one year old! The swim teacher (Storm) does a great job and the lifeguards keep a close eye out for any safety hazard that may present itself. The locker rooms are spacious and clean, making it easy to get ready for lessons with a baby. I am very happy with the facility and the friendly staff.

Had to bring someone here for a BBQ, seemed like a nice enough place to do fitness related activities. Small but had everything you generally need for a rec center. It has a parking lot with a reasonable amount of spaces. Not sure of all the amenities, so I suggest calling or visiting the website to be sure it has what you are needing.

I was there to watch a basketball game. Fun times!

My family was treated terribly by the young staff running this facility there were times we she was embarrassed and asked to pick up a plate of soggy cake on the bottom of a trash can in front of all her guests your other times when persons no older than 17 16 demanding payments and scolding us as if we were children this is not the first time our family has had a hard time accessing resources at a community Rec Center thats supposed to belong to the community my grandchildren have been denied services so many times when asked for a scholarship we were asked to turn in years worth of tax papers and a pile of paperwork that was worse than getting a passport Im very disappointed in how the children are treated but even more disappointed in how parents and adults and grandparents are told what to do when to do it how to do it with very little manners I feel like if youre going to allow teenagers to run the facility they should be trained and how to deal with adults in a respectful manner I would love to have somebody contact me for more details in our experience today. Mayor Hancock will get a letter from me and others about this embarrassing situation

Ive taken my nieces here in the summer to swim and I just had my first swimming lesson for my 10 month old. So far so good. Its clean and the staff has always been nice.

Its great. They have a lot of things to do. I wish they had mor fitness classes though

Horrible staff....super unhelpful or informative. Its been a awful experience every time I try to get my kids involved in activities here. Not to mention trying to host an event here. If it wasnt for a last minute event...I would never give my money to these people. Rude. Slow. Inconsiderate...unhelpful... To think that our tax dollars pays for this type of establishment and unexcusable customer service. I have reached out to the parks and recs...I cant believe how awful this place is... Wouldnt be as bad if the staff was decent.

Small space but very well maintained. Customer service was great. If I lived in Denver I would have a yearly pass for sure

Pool is shallow only about 4 foot. But kids had fun

I felt so badly for my granddaughter and the way she was treated when renting the facilities at this center for her sons first birthday party today. It is beyond me why no adults were available to deal with the issues that arose and that everything was being run by very young teenagers with very little in the way of people skills. It is interesting to watch Mayor Hancocks campaign commercials speaking to his devotion to the rec centers and then to experience such direspectful treatment when using one of these facilities. I was a Denver City employee for nearly 30 years and at the agency for which I worked, had we ever demonstrated such a lack of custmer service, there would have been severe consequences. It seems customer service just is not the priority it used to be in Denver. I would certainly not recommend this facility for any future parties, even though the facility itself had a lot to offer. There was an exception to todays deplorable treatment and that was in the form of the treatent offered by two staff members, Shay and Jess, who were very personable and professional and allowed us to salvage some semblance of dignity and enjoyment from the experience.

Mean staff but fun

Took the family here today to go swimming. Fun little pool with a small water slide. Staff was friendly - although the center may be on the old side it was very kept and clean. I am sure we will be returning!

Great recreation center. It has an inside pool and a game room in the basement.

Ceramics teacher is wonderful. Water aerobics is very nice.Havent tried anything else but people working there are very personable.

They have a great game room. You can play from xbox to PlayStation 4. Several games to choose from.

Its a great recreation center there is a indoor swimming pool and pilates classes on Tuesday and Thursday evening. Its a gym that you go into and do your thing with No one judging you. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I have two gym memberships I have not been to my other gym in about 7 months. Athmar recreation center is so laid back I choose to go there. At my other gym the gym patrol is continually hovering. Its not a gym that you have to get all dolled up for. It might be a little more pricey then the $10.00 a month gym membership but you get a lot more at Athmar Recreation Center. Pilates by its self is very expensive at Athmar its included in the membership. I would highly recommend it.

I haven’t done anything here. My son came with a friend. He says it’s small but that the wkers are helpful & nice.

I have Silver Sneakers class @ Athmar. I love the instructor its upbeat and its energized.

Its a small rec center with super friendly staff. The programs and kids sports are affordable.

They make you do a swimming test just because you look like a little kid and my daughter looks like a 7 year old and she is 11!!!

First of all i am talking about the pools which have very strict rules, today i went to swim but they did not let me with the shirt i was wearing even though in other pools i could go in with the shirt i was wearing.
