Great little secret on campus! Go in and ask nicely to hold one of the specimens. I especially love the Vietnamese walking sticks, who subsist off of rose petals and delicately walk along your hands. Go and support them and all of the wonderful work they do!
Absolutely amazing! Their collection is very extensive and the students really know their stuff.
Its a small but great museum for science lovers and average people alike.
Very educational! Saw all sorts of cool bugs!
Museum seems like a bit of an overstatement. Its a corner of a busy academic office. But it is still really neat. The folks there are super friendly and there are lots of amazing bugs to look at. If you have a few minutes to spend and someone really likes insects and arachnids, this is your place!
It had skeletons and showed interesting birds and other animals
A very small museum that is home to exhibits of live cockroaches, spiders, and stick insects (among the others,) plus an impressive collection of butterfly specimens from around the world. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff there who will let you touch some of the animals and are patient to answer all your questions. Support them by donating and/or buying stuff from their little gift shop as they seem to be under-funded by the university.
Their collection is mind-bogglingly huge... shelves upon shelves, filled floor to ceiling with insect and bug specimens. Statistically its the 9th largest collection but youd think its much higher on the list just walking in. Im no entomologist but their collection seems to include every bug known to man and unknown to the average Joe. Ive seen everything from iridescent butterflies to longhorn beetles, and got to hold a stick insect on one of their Discovery days.
Nice place to walk through and check out the specimens. Haven’t explored it to much but have walked through and observed.
This place has short hours but if you love bugs you have to come here. Just be ready to learn and have questions for them to answer as they love to be helpful. What a great selection of bugs.
Located near Union City and Fremont. Call or Google during business hours for current or specialty attractions and directions. Farm and Science exhibits.
I love your guys bugs.
Too much political bias and required speech suppression.
Awesome place
They have lots of insects and other arthropods to look at. The students and staff are very friendly and helpful.
