Was a cool depot. They had a monitor for the train schedule. Saw 2 trains pass while we were there. The lady in the visitors center was very helpful for things to do in the area. They also had a small museum on tufting blankets and such that was quite interesting. The start of the carpet industry. The restrooms were very clean. They had a display and explained about the Sherman Necktie. What they did when he had the rails pulled up to stop the trains.
EXCELLENT-Saw a NS autorack train headed towards Chattanooga, TN. 3 engines n 33 cars.
Interesting place to visit. A great piece of Railroad history. Good place to see some trains being on the main line from Tennessee to Georgia.
Well, as far as outside appeal its very amazing to see history still standing... ive never been to the restuarant over there though. I hear the train station is haunted!
Dalton Georgia was pretty nice place to be I will eventually go back to Georgia
Gorgeous place. Historic district. They had a great display of local historic items inside.
Learned some interesting stuff about how Dalton got its start. Before the carpet industry.
Great place to see trains, we will be back to visit this place soon!
GREAT platform to watch lots of trains
Great train depot.
Love this place! Great spot to watch trains go by!
Not what I expected....didnt see any trains and couldnt look in the passenger car on display...small museum inside featuring blankets
Directions are wrong. They give you directions for the restaurant. You need to turn left at the Wells Fargo Bank.
Historically
Train fanatics heaven!!!
Well you get drinks, get to sit at the bench, and trains come to you. Plus you also get radio action.
