We love hiking at Stevens Creek. It’s become a lot more busy during COVID-19, but if you are not going to the water area there are far less people on the trails. It’s great workout and offers amazing views of the valley, especially the Apple Campus. It’s very dog friendly on leashes and has nice wide trails too.

For my first time there, I found it confusing to find the start of the trails. Otherwise, I loved walking around the reservoir and going up into the hills! The changing terrain kept the hike interesting. It was really quiet and peaceful, but sometimes felt more comfortable having a fellow hiker. Has both mostly shady and sunny trails.

We did the Stevens Creek Tony trail. Its a easy hike . Very much doable with toddlers and as well with pets. Most part of the hike is in th shade, which is a plus!. The path is wide and kids can walk freely (under adult supervision of course). There is only one small stretch that is steep and may be tiring. This section is definitely not wheelchair or stroller friendly. The reservoir lake is a plus. Lake is accessible is some places.

Snuggled in the hills of Cupertino this lake is a hidden gem. It has a ramp for non-motorized boats and on any summer evening you might see a few canoes, kayaks, or inflatables on the water...Just walk along the dam, the high path lets you look down the creek valley, the lower walk is lake side. Its a short loop... Go walk around... Watch the fishermen... Relax... Go back home. Return when you remember to! Enjoy!

Nice trail for walking. Small kids should not bicycle as its pretty steep in some parts.

The hike was moderate difficulty because of the elevation. We did the 6+ mile hike up following the electrical towers and down the backside to the reservoir. It is really beautiful in the rear side heading to the reservoir. Very lush. Its great to have a good hiking trail just locally. You dont have to drive so far away to find a gorgeous scenic trail and just enjoy mother nature.

Terrific hiking biking place, good.for dogs too. The hike probably qualifies as a mid level hike. I walked from home so I didnt go to the car entrance, theres a small foot/bike entrance (pic below). Note, unless you are an expert at going down steep, very steep hills DO NOT attempt riding down this entrance, walk your bike. With this entrance you will bypass the parking lot. You then get to the rangers office and the restrooms. Walk past all that and you will see the start of the trail to your left. About 3/4 miles of a mild uphill and the big hills start. There are about 2 hard hills and about 5-6 mid level hills. For me the total was about 8 but if you start from the parking lot it would be about 5+ miles. Note if u go there by car you need to pay for parking.

All good and very scenic. On recent note, no social distancing measures in place. Many people coming your way from opposite direction and not wearing masks on narrow trails. Park administrators need to do more in the recent light of events of COVID19.This is still a 5 star place but 0 star for irresponsible management.

It is a really cool hike. It has scattered elevations, woods, lake view, top view, gravel trail, mud trail, all in one. It gets a little sunny in places but most of it is in the woods.

Good location but hard to find. If you plan to host an event here print out directions or a map for others so they can find it. Google maps may not be reliable for getting you to this location. But it is a great place and the staff here are wonderful. Very pleased with my stay.

Good place for a hike. We did rim trail and part of tony lookout. Since the water level is low (Feb 2018), didn’t find it as scenic as the last time in October.Parking $6. No cash and had issues with MasterCard in pay machine. Take a Visa cardUpdate: Nov 2020 - ideal place for quick hikes from Cupertino, South Bay. Has lots of shades and easy parking even on Sundays

$6 to park. Lots of picnic areas. Visitor center was open so we checked it out since we hadn’t been there before. Bob, a wonderful volunteer, showed us around inside and helped us pick a trail. The trail near the reservoir was fairly flat with just one small hill. Unfortunately you could here a bunch of noise that sounded like a shooting range nearby. Lots of wildlife, apparently mountain lion frequent the area and Bob told us that just a few months ago there was an attack on a small child. Just don’t let kids go off alone and keep dogs close by.

If youre planning to fish from the shore at the reservoir, wear hiking boots. When the water level is low, the 45 degree angle slope is very slippery from the loose dirt and rocks. You could easily slide right down into the water. Its not a great place to stop for lunch either because of all the bees that descend upon you as soon as you open your food. The weather and views were lovely, but stay on the trails if you can find them or go boating.
