We’ve driven by Tyee for thirty years and finally took the time to visit. It’s a Century Farm that has been in the sane family since the late 1800’s. The setting is delightful. The wines are outstanding. Both Pinots are terrific in different ways. One fruit forward. One with earth tones and tannins and a long after taste that delights. The dry gewurtz was solid. It’s great to visit a winery with great red and whites! Give it a try!
We had a lovely experience doing a wine tasting and ambling around the orchard. It was a perfect summer evening and the wines were delicious. We bought a bottle along with cheese and crackers and sat at a picnic table. If you visit you definitely need to walk around and explore! The blackberry bushes, walnut trees, and grapes are all fun to see as well as the tree swing! We really enjoyed our time here.
Tyee winery was amazing. Lauren and I got married their this past July. Brian and his family were great to work with; willing to go the extra mile to make our vision come to life. The wine was delicious and all of our guests had a great time. The space is set up perfect with a bar, area for dancing, plenty of picnic tables and amazing views of the Willamette Valley and coast range. Surely a day we will never forget. Great Pinot Noirs. They still have a Barrel Select Pinot from 2015, one of the best years for Oregon Pinots! Good Conversation. All this on exceptional property that you are free to wander around. Trails in a nature preserve area and a magical hazelnut orchard. Great escape to hike around and relax.
I was there on a Monday, when they wouldnt normally have been open, but they were having a special event. Getting in and out of the parking lot was a hassle (and cost me $17). I had a chardonnay, which seemed thin and honestly didnt really do that much for me. But the setting was picturesque and the staff were very friendly; I enjoyed a long conversation with a staff member about the climate, rainfall, and soil of the area and their impact on grape growing.I imagine going there on a regular business would have been a much different (and better) experience.
I attended a wedding here, and the place was gorgeous! We walked through the hazelnut orchard to the spot where the ceremony was and it was very well maintained.
Fabulous 75th birthday reunion for CHS class of 62 8/25/19
The wine is wonderful...and the owners are lovely!
Great nature trail with picnic tables for enjoying wine and having a picnic. Also theyve added hammocks just outside the testing area. Pinot Noir!
Tyee hosted my wedding ceremony and reception and the setting was perfect! The rollong hills --with views of Marys peak -- and beautiful hazelnut grove created the romantic ambience we were looking for. Our guests raved about the wine with the Pinot Gris being the perfect refreshment for the hot day. Brian and the whole Buchanan family were a pleasure to work with throughout our planning process. Their stewardship of the Century Farm is the benchmark for ecocologically minded agricultural land management! The birds and other wildlife helped set the scene on our special day!
Pinot Noir here is amazing. We bought 2 bottles of their 2012. The ambiance is very quaint farm. Their back venue is perfect for a wedding, concert, or event and the wine is to die for. We loved the old dairy turned hangout space while we sipped the amazing wines. Definitely stop here!
A very heart warming experience. So glad that we stopped here on our tour!
Super friendly staff, beautiful winery, great wines! What more can you ask?
