We were really excited to laugh tonight. Arrived at 6 to order drinks and dinner. Took a good 10+ minutes to order drinks and another 10+ minutes to receive the drinks. A few minutes before 7 we gave up and took my bottle of wine to the bar to cork it and pay our tab. Another ordeal because supposedly our sever (who wasn’t around anyway) had to come do that. The manager appeared about the time Paul was throwing cash down on the bar to cover everything. Unfortunately by this time what little patience we had left was completely gone. It wouldn’t be a big deal if everyone around us was not getting service but people who arrived after us were eating when we left. We’re on our way to hopefully find dinner now. BTW the manager tried to make it right...we had just had it. So kudos to him!
This place was so fun ! I was hanging on every line from the comedian. We had lots of good laughs. I was shocked at how cheap drinks were. The wait staff were all super friendly and refilled our drinks quickly. We will be coming back our next trip !
The wait staff and the food were excellent. We were set in the next to last row in spite of being the second ones to arrive. The comedians were extremely difficult to hear.
Saw TK Kirkland headliner one of the best shows Ive seen in a long time
We drove 2 hours to get to Columbus funnybone to see my favorite comedian well worth the drive great people great service!
Seen many comedians but man, Gary Owen was WONDERFUL! the staff took good covid safety precautions for the night. To bad they couldnt save Gary from a thrown French fry lol still, it was a great show and Im excited to go back for more laughs.
Great place great service great audio equipment. We could hear the comedian perfect. We will definitely return.
All the top acts come through the Cbus Funny Bone. Not a bad seat in the house. Wait staff is good. Food is ok. Long Island and fries cost about $23.
Booked over the phone for the upcoming Corey Holcombe event. Was easy and servicd wss excellent. When I found out our show was being moved I was disappointed that we wouldnt be able to attend due to a schedule conflict. Mrs. Dottie took my information to speak with her manager Dustin to see if we could be accommodated on another date. They figured out a way to make it work and were very pleasant through the whole experience. Excellent customer service!
Tony roberts was there. Hilarious. Decent service and pretty good social distancing
I enjoy myself everytime I go.... cant wait till we can pack the house again...
Had a great time laughing and had good service.
I had the same good time Ive always had. It was just fewer people, the food was good, and comedy was good.
Jeff Allen was great! Really liked how they were taking covid-19 precautions
Clean, socially distanced establishment. I felt very comfortable and safe with the space.
The social distancing was excellent and the Corey was so funny. I didnt like the service because we ordered potato skins as appetizers and they were never served to us.
Regardless of the performer (who was Nick Swardson on this particular occasion and was awesome) this is a premier spot in Columbus. The staff is friendly and attentive. They manage to fill a house while maintaining a sense of privacy and intimacy with the people you came with. There is plenty of space. The food and drinks were good. Everything was timely and well delivered.Overall, the Funny Bone is a delightful experience that I promise we will be returning to time and time again.
Safe and comfortable environment. Social distancing and safety was a priority.
Saw Corey Holcomb....he was hilarious. The club did a great job with social distancing and service.
Went to see D.L. Hughley he was hilarious
This place is always awesome even in the pandemic. COREY HOLCOMB was hilarious again!!!
My wifes Bday Love you hun!!!!.. Josh Wolf, friends and family!!! Be Blessed...
Very nice venue with great staff, service, and food! Will be returning!
Comedian Theo Von deserves a 5+ Stars as he was extremely fun to watch! The table service we received was a different story: starting off with a waitress who couldn’t remember our order and struggled by only dealing with two of us at a time... drinks and food! We were in the first seats front row stage right Sunday night. She brought drinks to us by spilling my dates drink on her pants and sweater, acted like she didn’t notice then said maybe she’d get her a towel. She never mentioned it again!! She continued to mix everything up and at the end even had our bill and the two guys sharing our table’s food mixed on our bills. My tab was $70 at first, then it was $10.. I finally walked away as we needed to line up for the M&G while things were only kinda sorted out. The final receipt/tab was placed in liquid on the table so we couldn’t even read it! No help was given and she sought none and no one else was available for us to explain that this waitress kept a perfect night from happening... $55/ticket for Theo Yes, $0 for the Funny Bone.
A lot depends on the actual talent booked for the evening, and we had an excellent time with Josh Blue! The place was packed on a Sunday night before holiday, but the wait staff did a great job serving everyone in time for the show and throughout the show. The warm-up acts held their own and were quite enjoyable as well. I would definitely recommend this for an adult evening out.
Great spot for comedy in Columbus. Clean, friendly staff.
Great place for laughs!Been about 6 times over the last year to see big and little known comedians and each time the staff does a wonderful job. The big guy host is always quick witted in the welcome which always adds to the laughs. The food from the kitchen is good, except the mushrooms- didnt enjoy. One visit we had some fellow patrons ( aka drunks) act out and the security and waitstaff handled it flawlessly. Drinks prices are about expected to reasonable priced, see photo. Please like this review if helpful.
Been a few times now and always have a good time. The comedians are always funny, service is always fast and friendly. Food is hit or miss sometimes its great sometimes not so great. They really need to increase the space. Ive been to several comedy clubs and this is the only one where you sit on your neighbors lap.
Remodeled comedy club. They have a good range of different comics they perform there. The food is reasonably priced but the drinks are on the weaker side. Its better to buy tickets at the box office.
Comedian Josh Blue did a fantastic job. The place is very crowded and the food is good but extremely overpriced. Service was fantastic and it was overall a very good night. I would not be hesitant to return! The waiter was funny as well was the pre show comedian. The drinks were interesting and some were running a special to double the drink for $3. If only if didnt cost $10 to start...
Never been disappointed. A little priicey, though.
This place was great! We sat on the front row of the balcony because the earlier you buy your tickets the better your seats. Make sure to buy tickets early for people you really want to see. Food and drink prices were very reasonable!
Food and laughter who can beat that? Oh and the drinks are A plus, a little pricey but worth it.
I saw Tony Baker today and he was so funny. The show was good and the staff were very professional. The seating was a little compact but overall it was a wonderful experience because of the level of service offered..
Such a pity! An amazing show and we had to share a small table with people we didn’t even know. If we wasn’t for my will to see someone I really loved I wouldn’t have come here.
Love love this place. It makes for such a fun date night. My husband and I have been here several times and we always have a blast. We have seen some great comedians here and look forward to going back soon.
Had a great date night @columbusfunnybone. Great seats and good food. Get the fish or buffalo sandwich. They are HUGE!!!Hope to see you there.... Enjoy the show.
The show and the food was on point! Thanks.
Had a fantastic time came from Cincinnati with a few friends to see Eric Andre and it was amazing, the house drinks with the souvenir glass was a cool deal with some delicious drinks. The service during the show is great and the waiters are great, even during the show they are able to get drinks without disrupting the show 10/10. It was a great experience and a lot of fun
The food. and service was great. We saw Cody Woods and Ralph Harris! They were both funny but I really enjoyed Ralphs show!!! I havent laughed that much or that hard ever!!! My cheeks and abdomen hurt from laughing so much!!! He has such a warm, kind and sincere personality which is hard to find nowadays. We took our 22yr old grandson as his birthday present. It was his first time to a comedy club.We all had a great time!
I love this place but January 31st of 2020 the opening not the first one but the second one was a very racist and disrespectful me and my girlfriend and a couple friends we left because he was so terrible we love this place but please do not bring him back.. we dont know his name because we dont give a damn
We found ourselves looming for something to do during our one night in Columbus. Found out Josh Blue was doing his stand up here. Food was good, service was great, Josh Blue was awesome.
Great facility. The staff are friendly. The seating is set up without a bad view in the house. The menu is not bad, and the drinks are not weak.
Liked the 2 comedians. Tony was better though.Wouldve given a 5 but as always some dunk ran his mouth until someone call for security
They are doing a great job..
Love this place! Went here to see marlon wayans and it was a night to remember. The tables are super close so didnt like that and paid for VIP seats and got fronts seats but on the side, rather of paid extra for me to choose the seats than a random one. The food was good and the drinks wasnt too expensive. Paying was easy even though I had no idea when to pay because it wasnt explained so was left in the dark until they were already going around checking people out. Still a great night! Super happy
The food wasnt that special but it was bar food now thats as far as I can have anything bad to say because the atmosphere was absolutely wonderful the opening acts were hilarious and we saw Jon Reep who was literally so hysterical I did not stop laughing in my face hurt the entire night! It was a perfect way to wind down the week and just enjoy my significant other and some good old-fashioned laughter I really appreciated the ambiance of the night
Had a good time with my family. Comedians were OK. Service was only decent and it wasnt sold out. If Im in the area again Id probably check it out again.
Great place but the last 2 shows there were people talking loudly through the whole show. The staff really needs to do something about it. The comedian even called them out but they kept talking. Very distracting. Took off one star for that, otherwise great food and drinks, good atmosphere and great comedy acts at decent prices.
We had our work Christmas party at the funny bone and it was great. The service was good, the food was yummy and the entertainment was very funny. Id definitely recommend Funny Bone.
Absolutely loved the show. Gary Owen was hilarious. The atmosphere was cool, very intimate. It was crowded and everyone was crammed together. The food was a bit bland. The Grown Up Kool Aide was pretty good and for $10.50, you keep the souvenir glass. There was one obnoxious laugher but the guy probably couldnt help it. Overall it was a great time, and I would return. Definitely reccomend a renovation soon. It would be a lot more comfortable if they did.
Saw Arnez J last night. Hilarious! My first time at the Funny Bone Columbus...good food and drinks as well. Great night. Can not wait till next time
Always a good time. Really like just chilling out and having some laughs. Puts you in a good mood
It was a very good show
Nice venue thats a blast to be at. Fyi if you are a party of two, you will be seated with other people at the same table. Weve never had an issue but someone we sat with did.
Comedians are always good. Ive never had a bad time. Ive been going to the Funny Bone for over 25 years
My boyfriend and I had such a good time here for NYE! The drinks were very yummy.
Gary Owens was HILARIOUS
The comics were good. My wife and I went to the show last night. We paid 16.00 a piece for our tickets and was placed in theback of the club where people received free tickets, and was told there was a 2 drink minimum for people who received free tickets, after I explained we paid 32.00. There were seats closer to the front, but it was not offered to us until midway through the first comic.
I found that it was a nice experience but not great. Too much unnecessary F-bombs and it felt like the entertainers were not well prepared. There were definitely some funny comments and they made up for the lack of preparedness.
Friendly service. Good cuisine. A nice change. Next time I plan to catch a show as well.
Brian Regan getting older still funny.
We went for Girls Night Out and we had a blast! The comedians were stellar. If you like comedy you should definitely go.
Good food and drinks if you arrive early. The acts have been great. Seating is tight but that is to be expected.
We always have a great time when we go even though the fit is tight between tables. Very attentive wait staff. Weve learned to eat elsewhere prior to the show. We just dont care for the food there.
Went here back in February for the first time to see Eric Andre. I was nervous at first because it was very busy and I am terrible in crowds. But once we got in and got seated, I was fine. The drink staff was excellent, fast and friendly! I even got a glass cup for cheaper drinks, it was really nice! (Sadly my cat broke it) I have noticed they have great and varied shows all the time. I will definitely go again.
A surprise from my beautiful daughter to see Kounty Wayne. We had a GREAT TIME!
Our service was great. Greg Morton was absolutely hilarious. He is a MUST see!!
I loved the show/club, but the service left SO MUCH to be desired. For about half of the night, I was distracted and mostly unable to pay attention to the show as I was desperately trying to find our server. Then, he would randomly drop off drinks that we didnt order to our table/other tables around us. Id like to believe it was an honest mistake, but I honestly think they just drop them off and hope you are too drunk to notice you didnt order (or want to pay for) another drink.TL;DR - great performers, bad/sketchy service.
As an employee of the funny bone for the last several years, my review may be slightly biased. That being said, I believe the Columbus Funny Bone is a wonderful establishment and its a very good place to visit either as a new customer or returning customer. Whether its a well established comedian or unknown local talent, plenty of laughs can be had here. The food is excellent, competitive pricing, and friendly staff will attend to your needs while you enjoy the comedy.
My friend took an Improv class and they had their final exam at the Funny Bone on a Sunday afternoon. It was FABULOUS!!! There were 10-12 students in the class, and they all had multiple individual and group opportunities to show-off their newly learned skills. They were all MARVELOUS. We laughed and clapped - everybody had a FANTASTIC time, and an excellent opportunity to support friends thru a new learning experience. Thanx to the Funny Bone for supporting new talent that may be on their stage for real one day soon.
Fantastic experience at this comedy club. Obviously your experience will depend on the comedian performing, but the the theater and service of the bar staff was excellent. My only complaint is that they were too good. Sometimes I didnt want service and it was distracting my attention away from the comedian. Who knew good service is sometimes a bad thing!?
It was a good experience overall. Perfect for a night out for a variety of reasons. The entertainment was great and the food was surprisingly good. My only gripe would be the seating arrangements. First, the chairs themselves were a lil rough. I wouldnt mind a few booths. Secondly, you dont know where youre sitting til you get there and its a possibility that a random stranger is seated at your table if there is an open chair. All in all though, had a great night!
Affordable entry fee. The acts were hilarious. The sweet potato fries with ranch are 2 die for, so delicious. Laid back fun time, great 4 large groups, great date night or ladies night out experience.
Enjoyed the show but would be nice if not packed like sardines. Use wheelchair and very hard to maneuver. Prices could be lower as well considering how much a ticket costs. Staff very friendly and helpful when asked.
Wouldve gave them a 5 but staff dont communicate w/one another. Was told not to stand in line because tickets were prepaid...not the case! Will never order the chicken wings again they were over cooked and tasted like wood. But the comedy showcase was great!
Have big names come through. Reasonably priced. Always a good time
Great comedians, food and drinks
A great way to spend New Years. The comedians were funny the buffet was good, and the service was on the spot.
Seen Chris Hardwick, really funny the food could use a little work but all in all a great time
Impossible to get ahold! It looks like the 7/11 Chad Daniels show was cancelled and we received ZERO communication about this. Trying to call to see if our seats were moved to the later show in July or will at least be refunded.
Josh Wolf was hilarious! And was so friendly and gracious to take pictures with everyone. And as usual, The Funny Bone delivered with a good meal and amazing waitstaff.
Great comics only complaints are drinks arent that great and are over priced for the quality. And you will have to sit with strangers in close quarters if your party isnt at least 4 people
