The trail is well kept. I like it because it is marked a one way. Pleasant view and friendly people.

The playground is excellent. Thats not why we were there but I would definitely take my kid there. We were there to watch the sunset and discovered that there was a beautiful pond with a paved path all the way around. It was lovely to sit and watch the sunset, and we would have stayed longer if I had remembered the bug spray.

Great place to get out and bring the kiddo to. She love the play ground and playing with the other kids there. The lake is a nice to walk around... The bathrooms though were about 147° inside and smelled of well, how can I explain it? You know when you go into an apartment building and you smell other peoples cooking on each floor and you go What are they cookin? It smelled like that, plus crap!

This is a little hidden gem in Columbia. The children park has slides, mini rock climbing, swings and sand pit - great to keep your toddlers busy. The lake is good for bank fishing - good amount of largemouth bass. And the path surrounding the lake is decent half mile walk/run. Summer times it gets a bit busy - but still not too crowded.

Lovely, peaceful park. I would like to see more picnic tables scattered about. Many separate small groups and couples used the tables in one of two shelters. Very nice playground, path around the lake and lots of tennis courts. The lake is full of muck, so fishing is greatly impeded, although a few were trying on this August evening. I felt sad the beautiful resident swan doesnt have a partner. The restrooms are clean enough with plenty of paper. Automatic soap, water and dryer wash basins. Great place to bring takeout food from a local eatery and have a picnic.

Came here to enjoy some lunch and unseasonably warm weather. It was largely empty in the middle of the day with a few dog walkers and others looking to step out of quarenteen. Canadian geese were hanging out in the pond and grounds were clean and neatly mowed. Many garbage cans were dotted around and picnic tables both covered and open air were provided. Parking was generous and easy to navigate.

Columbia Missouri boast several fantastic city parks and this is certainly one of them. Beautiful views on the easy hike around the pond. The path is paved so eventhough it had been raining our walk was pleasant and not muddy. The kids were enjoying the large playground as we devoured our dessert in one of the shelters on the grounds.

Great park with a variety of activities to do! Neat and innovative playground space with huge tires and a culvert to play on/in. Small structure for little ones and a tall structure for bigger or more adventurous kiddos. There were walking paths and a small lake to fish in, 10 or more tennis courts, soccer fields, a couple picnic shelters and bathrooms.

Plenty of kid spaces as well as walking path around the lake. Shelters have bbq pits and there is a nice sand area for volleyball. Main downside is distance to restrooms and the usual metal Park toilets

Great park with a trail around the lake. Has multiple pavilions with tables, BBQ grills, and a playground for kids. You can fish in the lake and ice fish in the winter if it freezes enough. There is a public bathroom, but I think its closed during winter. All aground great place!

This is a fairly large park with a moderate sized lake. Swimming is not usually permitted, but there are a few boating events with small boats but fishing is permitted (with fishing licensing for those over 16). I havent seen very many park rangers there, but better safe than sorry. There is a trail that goes around the lake and through a wooded area that make for a nice scenic walk or exercise. It is located between Rock Bridge High and Gentry Middle Schools, so this area is typically quite clean.

Great year round fishing spot. The lake is stocked with trout in the winter months and has bass year round. Bass are mostly very small but still fun to catch. Sunfish range in size and I have caught some rather large ones one a variety of artificial lures and live bait. Catfish are average size. Carp are large but difficult to catch. Playground has something for all ages and is fun for the kids. Walking trails available and it has a bathroom. Tennis courts are open and baseball field is ready for practice and play. Two large pavilions with grills for events and picnics. Great place for a small wedding.

I would give this park 4 stars, but people bring their pets even though its posted that theyre not allowed. Most clean up after them, but enough dont that theres poop all around. The young college students smoke in the park right next to children not even 2 years old yet, and if you ask them to stop, or at least leave the kids area they get rude, try and bully you, actually telling you to shut up and leave. Not one other parent stood up for their kids, they just allow it to happen. Its truly sad, because this is a very nice childrens park.

Two pavilions with timed lights that can be reserved. Pond for fishing. Playground for kids up to teens. Tennis courts in the northeast corner of the park. Flushing toilets most of the year until freezing temps. Two parking lots. South lot is great for pond, playground and pavilions. North lot is better parking for tennis courts. Local schools use tennis courts for practice in the afternoon.
