The day before our performance I had a guitar mic for my acoustic guitar which attaches to the guitar. so at the time I’m like this is great I’ll be able to hear the guitar during the performance right wrong. The day of the performance I asked where’s the guitar mic which I need to put in so everyone else can hear for our medley the JRT staff came up with the excuse that they couldn’t find it, when the day before they had it. Be cautious of this staff they’re very rude to you and don’t like being told what to do.

Columbia Orchestra dress rehersal went well. Joins us October 12 2019 and enjoy Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky and a great Russian Jazz piece.

Beautiful theatre but unfortunately horrible staff. Such a waste. We have performed here 4 times in the past 8 years and the staff is still extremely rude and unhelpful towards us every time. There was no respect for the program directors who are paying the staff to help them with their show. We love the location and the theatre itself but sadly will not be coming back.

Its a big theater adjacent to a school... It is the home of the Renowned Columbia Symphony Orchestra. They are a wonderful ensemble with Jason Love as the conductor. They play everything from Mozart to pops and movie themes. Go check them out when you can. Also kid friendly concerts throughout the season.

It is a auditorium with balcony seats. It is a little small. The light on the back of the stage gives performances a better look.

Always a delight to watch performances here. We see the Columbia orchestra more than anything else. I do wish more of the doors were open so you didnt have to walk all around the building for entrance.

The Jim Rouse Theatre is attached to Wilde Lake High School, but is a professional quality theater. As such, WLHS students (especially those involved in the arts — band, drama, etc.) get the benefit of performing here. It shows in the quality of productions you can see from the students at WLHS, most notably with the spring musical performances. They are essentially professional quality shows, and usually held in March. Very much worth seeing.

Acoustics arent the best, stay out from under the overhang. That said, always enjoyable to see Columbia Orchestra; it is a great, intimate venue for them.
