Long late review. I use to attend this church back in 2010-2012ish. My now ex wife and I went there. Even went to counseling with the minister of care to prepare my ex and I for a difficult situation we were going to be going through. I was headed to a “vacation”. Minister Angel Insisted that I keep my head up and stay in touch and he would send me a book here and there to assist with me staying on my journey with Christ. I sent messages to Minister Angel a few times to no avail. I have never spoken to him since. My daughter who was in middle school during this time who use to friends with Pastor Anderson’s kids seems to be left in the dust as well. She is definitely not Christian now. Maybe the abandonment caused this. Who knows. I’m sure I played a part in this as well. As I am considering not being a Christian at all I thought this was something others could appreciate or consider. I will say that when I attended the services there it was always good. Just once the plate isn’t around you get forgotten about. Good luck to everyone on your own journey.
My big take away is: this is a fun, multi-cultural congregation that has a lot to offer for any type of person. The good: They have an expansive Sunday School/Child Care system. As the kids get older they enter a Sunday School but even toddlers and infants have care provided. There is also digital check in and the child care workers are strict about pickup policies. The not good: Their child care DOES fill up. As in, you may not be able to bring your child if you arrive later for the service. When I asked, I was told that most people show up 15-20 minutes early to ensure their child a spot on any given Sunday. The good: The pastor seems down to earth, if a little goofy. They have coherent plans for different sermon series and it keeps everything from feeling stale. The not good: Sometimes the sermon is much less than a sermon and more of a guest performance or a medley of different presentations, which can be jarring if that Sunday is your only experience with them.Overall, if youre without a home church or looking for a change, you absolutely owe it to yourself to try Bridgeway for a few weeks.
For anyone afraid of church or hesitant to go...whenever I introduce this place to people they cant believe it. They feel absolutely comfortable here and attract to the good lively vibes. Its like no other church, in the best way. Very welcoming positive qnd motivationalAll the pastors are amazing and everyone is super friendly.
Wonderful church. Dynamic preaching and great music.
Bridgeway is the best. Period. Last summer Id been in prayer about where I should go to serve God, and the Holy Spirit told me Bridgeway, very clearly. I began attending, and havent looked back. Theres none of the standoffish churchianity attitude that you find in many places, and its culturally diverse, just as God intends. A great experience every time.
I love this church. Love the vibe. I love how I feel when I am there every Sunday morning for the 10 a.m. service. Pastors sermons are always on point and relevant, and the staff is kind and genuine. I am going to keep coming back for the teachings are there for you to follow along in the bible word for word, line by line.
I enjoyed the choir and the different speakers. Sitting in on a Catholic service always puts me to sleep. I never once got sleepy and liked the entire service. The choir definitely ROCKS!
I apologize you received the incorrect rating. I love Bridgeway. It is a warm and inviting community place of worship. I am blessed each time I visit by the Praise, Worship, and the Word. Today, it was no exception.I received a blessing and was able to bless others through the teachings of one of the Pastors. I feel the presence of God always as I can freely express my worship and praise of our awesome God. Your approach of multiculturalism, a place where all can worship, I believe is how God intended how we should assemble ourselves in glorifying who He is.
I was really looking forward to enjoying my visit at this church due to the amazing reviews, but I had a different experience. The biggest issue was regarding the solicitation. I was so appalled to see that they were selling coffee. There was a full blown concession stand, which made me feel like I was at a movie theater. After purchasing my coffee, I was then informed that I could not enter the sanctuary with it, which is a bit understandable, but it made my experience really inconveniencing since I had to end up throwing out my coffee so I could enter and find a seat. Overall, the church is too crowded and has a weird feel to it. The greeters were unfriendly, and it was hard to feel welcomed due to the fast-paced atmosphere. I honestly didnt sense the presence of God.
I went to 5 services wasnt ever spoken too and it was too impersonal. Hearing impaired cant a)wayalways understanding language so your posts u are lost need closed caption screen
A multi-cultural church that invites all people from all backgrounds. If you want a church that is welcoming and honest, then visit this church.
Very warm greetings from the parking lot and throughout the service. Awesome worship experience!
People from various cultures, races, and colors come to worship in this Church. Pastor does speaks to peoples heart and seems to be in touch with community. I liked the story of how they worshiped in tents till their new theater was ready.
Inspiring message if you want to be inspired. Multicultural if you like different kinds of ethnicities. It has a cafe where the earnings goes to outreaches. So many volunteer opportunities.
I was blessed by the preaching and the whole service was like the one I was looking for.Praise and worship good like the one i am used to.
Warm and loving spiritual atmosphere where everyone appeared to be welcomed. A rich preaching and teaching of Gods word. A place for the whole family to experience a wonderful worship experience!
My church bridgeway community church. A place where no one feels out of place no matter the color of your skin. Feel like home and Dr. David Anderson is amazing. I feel inspired everytime I leave.
Bridgeway community church in columbia maryland is a very nice nondenominational church .I was apart of this church for 10 years.I left last year for another church that God called me to.I appreciate the past decade sitting under pastor David Anderson.pastor da played a big role in my faith while I was at bridgeway.Bridgeway has about 2500 people that attend the Columbia campus.the church is 85 percent black and 10 percent white and 5 percent minority.Bridgeway use to be a lot more diverse than that many years ago.the church does put a lot of emphasis on racial diversity.overall I believe its a great church to call home if your looking for a strong solid biblical church.
I am not sure what has happened to our churches.I feel like a herd of cattle being herded in for back to back services. Where is the community? How do you connect with the preexisting cliques? Do you really want to be part of a clique? There is no time to even say hello to anyone because you have to clear out to make room for the next group. Most importantly- grace stands on its own. There is no need to add any additional words to it— like “ism.”What was the pastor thinking? I am not sure. We live in strange times; when preachers feel a need to temper God’s words to make them more palatable to the masses. I will not be returning. This church is not speaking to my soul in a manner that will help me grow as a Christian.
The people are so welcoming. Praise and worship is great. DrAnderson delivers great sermons every Sunday. Most of all, you can feel Gods love and presence.
Just love the warm welcome that I receive every time I attend service.
A beautiful place to worship! There have a friendly and diverse congregation. The sanctuary is large. They have a lovely lobby and snack area. They offer child care during the services. They also have plenty of groups to join to enhance your worship experience outside of Sunday services.
Powerful yet fully enjoyableBible based teaching. You must make this a place to visit this Church Season. You will be blessed.
Great place to worship! People loving people in their brokenness and pain!
This is a great church to grow and learn as a family or as a individual. There is some much to offer!
I really love this church. I have 3 small children that we take with us to service. While we are in service, they attend childrens church. They are very organized and make the parents feel safe. The pastor has a theme each week that the service is focused on. I appreciate the level of detail that goes into creating a well-scripted production.
Very diverse and always an uplifting thought-provoking sermon.
I love it. I came with nothing and founded a family
Very energizing environment! Youre going to grow in your faith, your love for Jesus and His Word, your love for people, your service to the community and in your servant-leadership abilities. What more could you ask for?
We visited the food pantry and everyone was so kind and welcoming here. We look forward to coming back to volunteer, and to worship with these loving people.
I like this, the youngsters are pleasant and amusing. Same with the faculty.
Nice Christian community with plenty of Christian activities outside of Sunday worship
Great place to worship and grow in the Lord. If youre saved, or looking for Gods peace, community, and growth in the Lord.. Make your way to this church.
I love...love....love this church! The people are so warm and welcoming. Its a diverse congregation. The praise and worship is inspiring and the Senior Pastor Dr . David Anderson is down to earth, filed with compassion and always has a great word for the people of God. If youre looking for a place to worship I strongly recommend Bridgeway. B.Dyer
Love this church...Dr. Anderson is the greatest!
Enjoyed Prayer breakfast invited by niece Monica Norris
Great worship experience! Attendees are friendly and parking is plenty.
I love fellowishiping there! It is a multicultural church with people of different ethinicity and who come from all walks of life! You will never feel alone there!
I was touched and blessed by the exposition on Gracism .I have been born again Christian since 28th October 1985 but todays message came so close to home. The baptism was so touchy and emotional.God bless you Pastor David Anderson
My family and I have been attending Bridgeway for years. Pastor David Anderson and staff are the best! Looking for a diversified place of faith where you will DEFINITELY enjoy the experience and feel spiritually fed, try Bridgeway Community Church on Red Branch Road in Columbia, MD.
Truly Helps Placing The Lord in My Life.
A diverse congregation in a diverse community. You feel welcome from parking to departure. And, most importantly the Holy Spirit runs the joint.
Even though I am not an official member, Im hoping this review will help someone choose a church home. When I first relocated to Maryland from California I was determined to find a bible based church that was non denominational and diverse. Its a beautiful thing to see people of all races worshipping together, wanting to do life together. I love that Bridgeway has three different services and is a very welcoming church. The internet church is also a great option for days when you attend in person.
No words can ever be said here. If you really are interested here you have to see it for yourself. Pastors here and service and amazing.
The Praise and Worship was Authentic & Powerful, ushered in the Presence of God. The ushers were congenial, and other staff members didnt hesitate to make me feel welcome....especially the usher in the Sharp Red hat! The Word delivered by Bishop Oscar was pointed, self checking-convicting and liberating! This place is my MD church home away from home!
So love church ️ wonderful this lot my age that new to me go to fashion old church ️ very old school church not change as much. Too old fashioned for me some new understand god different way. I in live pa. Go to in nj
This is a wonderful creative and multicultural place to worship! There are always biblical teachings that will encourage your everyday walk with Christ. There are also a variety of ministries that will allow to use your gifts and talents to bless others and to be blessed by. But Im slightly bias because this is my church home. So come check it our for yourself!
Very fun and diverse! Starts off with the choir singing. Pastor was very funny and engaging! People were nice and energetic! Highly recommend!!! (-:
Great Church for the whole family. .Love hearing Pastor Anderson speak. Conducts service in a way where everyone understands the Bible.
There really seems to be a growing Community developing here. However, the community seems to be OF THE world and not IN THE world. Complete with talent shows, spoken word, paintings of Christ and non-biblical messages that meet an agenda.
My wife and I just discovered this church a few weeks ago. Yesterday was our second time attending services there, and boy… The Lord has been speaking vividly! The people are kind, courteous, and engaging. Bridgeway is one of the most multicultural churches I’ve ever attended. They are without a doubt bridging the gap between various ethnicity groups. Dr. Anderson communicates with so much clarity, creativity, innovation, and Anointing. The GRACE on this man of GOD and his ministry is unbelievable. I’m so proud of my brother in Christ. And although it’s quite a long stretch coming from Ft. Washington MD to attend church there, it was definitely worth the drive!Pastor Page-
Music is great. Word is so so
I love it because the worship is awesome and word is preached.
Good driver, clean bus, wifi, charge outlets, and very pleasant ride.
Loving environment. Multi-cultural. Grace is found. God is there.
Love this church! Im proud to call it home. Each Sunday I am excited to come to worship and be blessed by the word. There online ministry is perfect and very convenient if you can not make it to church.
Its amazing how such a large church is able to create such a close family experience. Members and clergy are genuine servants of God and His people. All are encouraged to stretch themselves to full-capacity of Gods love across ALL ages, abilities, color lines and denominations. Via Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, small group meetings, childrens ministry and options to volunteer in-house, in the community, and various corners of the world, such as Peru, the Word gets delivered. Join us!
Great environment. Love the diversity. Amazing pastor in Pastor David Anderson!
First time visiting. I need a church where my unsaved family, friends and co-workers can hear the Gospel and get Saved!. Today is the day of salvation not at the end of a series on racism. I pray that wont be the case. Racism is just one of many sins that will be eradicated if people came to a saving knowledge of JESUS. These are prophetic dayz - theres no time to waste. Romans 10:9 - 13 - the basics for Salvation!
We love this church and the people I cant wait for my husband to come back from his work trip so we can attend together.
Bridgeway community church is a Welcoming environment where you can feel the love of the community and the willingless to help you to know God. Pastors and Bridgeway team, in both locations Columbia and Reisterstown are amazing !!
This is a fantastic, multicultural, Bible based church. Great worship music, timely messages, and friendly volunteers.
Its a church. They have a little cafe so thats cool
Great place to worship. Very progressive church
Service is all inclusive. The message is presented in an understandable way that is scripture based
Great non-denominational, multi-cultural church for families of all backgrounds. There are three services each Sunday, all of which are casual and do not require congregants to dress up. The church offers many ministries to service people in all of lifes phases and stages.
A wonderful Easter service. Very enlightening and enjoyable.

Very passionate about loving each other & giving to others in need. Im not looking for a church to satisfy my personal needs, but the needs the people. So often we come to church with agenda on how we would a church to be. The description on Gods church is clear in the bible. Great services! Come out.
Thank you Bridgeway you have moved my heart so its close to God you have made me see the errors in my ways and have moved me closer to the light I now know my Creator better than anyone else I love him for him rather than his powerI Love You Lord thank you Bridgeway you are the best you have brought me out of the darkness and has brought me to light you have helped me through death hatred Im going to stress you think the singing group theres song relist my spirit when Im feeling down my favorite part is hearing them sing for their voice to sound like angels singing from Heaven itself so thank you Bridgeway for everything youve done youve helped me build Bridges to God instead of building walls against him thank you Lord priest preacher minister and the people at the cafe thank you love Mike
I love that BCC is a multicultural body of Christ. Ive learned so much from the teaching and preaching under them. And as a partner of the church, I recommend paying this church a visit!!! It is quite the experience!!!
Rewarding, refreshing, impactful. A place where everyone is welcomed to come.
Didnt care for the Trump bashing. Pray for your leaders, thats what the Bible says to do. Otherwise plenty of nice people and good qualities.
This is a multicultural, non-denominational church with practical insights for daily christian living. Come visit us and youll experience the presence of God like never before.
A cool, casual, multicultural, non-denominational Christian Church. Despite its large size, their ministers staff and volunteers are friendly and welcoming to everyone. Its an open and accepting place that does its best to walk the talk of faith-based diversity and inclusion.
Love this church! Pastors, staff, greeters are unlike any of the multicultural churches, Ive visited or have been a member. Truly Spirit-Lead to this place, even though it is far for me! Either way it is worth it! In person or online! Im a Bridge-breaker for as long as the Lord tells me! All to Him!
Very warm reception. Give me this kind of church any day
Great place to feel good about your spiritual path. Definitely Christian but very diverse and great music and speakers
Bridgeway is a wonderful multicultural church. Theres something for everyone there. I enjoy the preaching, teaching, praise and worship... and Bridge Kids rocks.
Always a great worship service and place to spend time learning about the Mission of the Church.
Truly an amazing place of worship!! A place made up of a rainbow coalition. Will be returning!!
First time here. Felt very welcomed. It was a very positive uplifting church that focuses on the Bible. I will be going back.
Awesome place for anyone (adults, children, familys, singles, etc
Great Easter production ..Was truly blessed
Great place for worship and praise!!!
Wonderful multi cultural community with real love for the Lord. After one visit, weve decided to return at least once a month. If it werent so far away wed likely make it our new home church.
It is very spacious and theyre a lot of seats probably for a big crowd. There are two large projectors and if youre deaf in hearing theres an interpreter.
An awesome spiritual experience, the praise and worship and the teaching/preaching was so timely.
Incredible experience. I loved the diversity of this place. The pastor was extremely relatable.
