I took my daughter here in June and had a wonderful time. I booked a second visit in August and received email confirmation of the event. My daughter & I showed up at the scheduled time, and no one was at the studio. It was locked. I called & emailed the studio with no response. We were very disappointed with the lack of communication. Had I received a message that the event was canceled beforehand, we could have rescheduled. Now, Im hesitant to book with them again in the future.
Had a blast for Grandma’s birthday. Everyone from 10 to 73 years old enjoyed it. Bobbie was a great host!
I called up to ensure I was locating a “wine and sip” type establishment and was met by an energetic Angie on the phone ensuring that I had found what I was looking for. My boyfriend and I made the drive up from Fort Leonard Wood and made it to the 2 pm class for the “country drive” painting. Meeting Angie in person was even better than my encounter with her on the phone. She was energetic, positive, and displayed heartfelt gratitude for our service by offering a discount and a free “first drink.” The class was fun and I sincerely appreciated that there were sinks available to fill and refill your own water jars. We were also free to utilize however much paint we pleased. It gave off the feel that the painters were in control and were allowed to be independent so as to fully enjoy a unique painting experience. MUCH better than a lot of corporate wine and sip places that pre-plot your entire experience. We will be back!!
Great activity to do with people at night or on the weekends. You can can even do kids parties here. Got to love an activity where you can drink as well.
Fun place to paint! Great instruction and nice selection of drinks to enjoy while painting.
Lovely person giving the lesson. Im artistically challenged and she made it very doable - Im thrilled with how my painting turned out! Will be back!
Did two painting classes - one on Friday night and one the following Saturday afternoon. Renee and Angie were awesome and walked us thru techniques for each painting. Great staff, great selection of drinks (including wine, soda, beer), great atmosphere and great music. Had an awesome time both times. Will be back!!!
10/10 would recommend for a fun-filled activity.
Always have a fun time.
Love this place! My daughter had her birthday party here and they were very good working with the kids.
The staff is very friendly and fun and we always have a great time whenever we go.
We went last night for the Big Tree in Fall painting and had a BLAST! It was a perfect way to enjoy a few glasses of wine with a friend after a long day at work. The atmosphere was wonderful. The instructor was very helpful and entertaining. The Canvas on Broadway would be a perfect first date, girls night out or family activity. Absolutely going back for another class!
Fun, reasonable price
Had a wonderful time. Never thought Id be able to draw a painting like that. Great date idea, would definitely come again.
Had a really great time!
Kids loved it
Hostess/teacher was great.
Super fun. Im not an artist, but my painting looked surprisingly good
I recently went there with friends for a girls night for a night of relaxing fun and companionship. I love the concept. It is great that all necessary supplies are included in the price, which I think is fair. The music makes the atmosphere upbeat, and the instructor was also fun. However, it is extremely unfortunate that they try to cram so many people into each session. While I understand that some sessions are not completely sold out, ours was. With 8 people to a table, there is only about 6 inches of space between each easel. With a jar of water, 3 brushes, a paint knife, two paper plates for paint, and a roll of paper towels, I felt like I was constantly juggling stuff to work without making a mess. And where was I supposed to set my glass of wine? Now think about 3 or 4 of those tables of eight lined up, with another row of the same size on either side of you. Trying to pass between the rows was impossible. The lack of work space and cramped conditions totally destroyed any relaxation factor that was the goal of the evening. They also need to rethink the distribution of paints. After everyone was seated and the official start time came, we were then told to get up and go get the paints. This was crazy with everyone having to get up in an already cramped space and stand in line in non-existent space. This literally took 25 minutes. We were then rushed at the end of class, as there was another class waiting. There is no reason why a person cant get their paints as they get settled into their seats. This will save the time wasting stampede at the beginning of the session. My frustration grew greater as the evening wore on thinking about how the shear number of people there simply spelled greed on the part of the owners trying to get as many people in as possible at one time.It is my opinion that the owners need to rethink the layout out of the tables (U shaped instead of rows?), and the way paint is distributed. But first and foremost, cut down on the max allowed. 6 people per table would have made a big difference in the cramped factor. If there is a $$ amount they need to hit per evening (especially on weekends) then raise the price a dollar or two per person on those nights.I created a painting that night - I titled it The Daisy of Greed that Stole my Relaxing Evening.
I love working with the ladies at The Canvas on Broadway. There events are always fun and enjoyable.
