This place is truly the best! An amazing book store full of everything Missouri made by Missourians! Bookstore is also a little cafe, so they really do have everything! There is even a sitting area outside the bookstore for you to hangout! The art gallery is so unique and interesting! The staff is so friendly and kind! Definitely a great place to research or to just hang out!
The building and new location are superb! This is a treasure long overdue. The Thomas Hart Benton Lithograph Exhibition is most excellent and well worth the time to spend seeing this Grand Opening venue. I found the Gift Shop area to be well stocked with unique and unusual items. A must-see when visiting Columbia downtown and/or the University of Missouri campus.
Beautiful facility. Really enjoyed the art gallery.
Very good. Great collection of Missouri artists and editorial cartoons also park for free on the North side of building
Great new facility, very well curated exhibits. Great place for research
I was glad to visit the gallery in the last week it will be open. As a graduating senior about to leave my home state, it was good to reflect on what it means to be a Missourian through the art here. This location will permanently close April 19 2019. I look forward to visiting the SHS in its new building this summer!
Such a rich space inviting inspired research, with helpful assistants.
A magnificent facility that incorporates a vision and operational capacity to serve Missouri with great impact.
Beautiful new building. Well organized inside
Great staff. Incredible books on sale in the gift shop ️
Great place for genealogy research.
A beautiful place. People very useful. Bonus several small nice museums/art gallery within walking distance.
Very helpful staff. I purchased several interesting books in the gift shop and enjoyed a visit to the exhibit gallery.
There are many useful books.
Inappropriate artwork for public display
Quick and efficient staff.
A great museum. Rotating exhibits, and some excellent permanent paintings.
The art gallery in the basement is one of the best secret places in Columbia.
The exhibits are fantastic
